We have just returned from our honeymoon and had time to reflect on our brilliant day and just wanted to say Thank you so much for making our day as special as it could possibly be. It was honestly a dream day and would couldn’t be grateful enough. The team were absolutely incredible setting everything up and the staff were so kind and supportive to everything we asked for to the finest detail. We’d also like to send a HUGE thank you to the catering team. The wedding breakfast was brilliant. We couldn’t stop talking about how fantastic the food was throughout and our guests said they’d never had such beautiful food at a wedding before, everything was perfect. We will do nothing but recommend The West Mill as the best wedding venue future bride and grooms could ask for. It has been such an easy process to the build up of our big day and we cannot thank you all enough.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this wedding venue! I got booked to photograph a wedding here and couldn't have been happier. It's so unique, not only is the inside of the building beautiful, but the outside space is as well. There's so many great areas for photos, I was spoilt for choice. The staff were also super helpful and friendly. I hope to be back here photographing more weddings soon.

Came for brother in laws wedding last November. It was snowing! And the heating wasn't working. I had my kids and was heavily pregnant. Also I didn't bring a coat. That was disappointing all I could think about was how cold we were. But everything else was great. Nice lay out, very clean. Lovely looking from the outside and inside. The gardens were beautiful too.

Me and my wife had our wedding here. Excellent experience, all the issues leading up to the day were quickly resolved. On the day everything ran smoothly. These people are professionals at what they do. The food was amazing as well. If you have a taster evening the food is good, on the day 100% better. Great day 10 out of 10.

I came to the mill to attend my step daughters wedding. The multi floor arrangement meant that there was no delay in proceedings to clear spaces. The staff were very professional and polite and i had a wonderfull time here

An absolute lovely location for a wedding day. They can hold the ceremony, day meals and evening events with room to spare. Very big and can hold lots of people. The people will help with all of your needs when planning your wedding. The place has a rustic and classic feel about the place and some original pieces from the factory are still in place and it gives the place a great feel. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone.

Got married here and wow, what a venue. If you are getting married, I would recommend this place. It's an old cotton mill and they have kept the original features which makes it such a beautiful place. Everything is there to keep your wedding running smoothly; top floor is for your ceremony, 2nd floor is the food floor, 1st floor is for the party. It all works so well and the staff are amazing and keep everything running smoothly. I would also recommend using the Mill House for your sleeping arrangements. There are 8 rooms and they are all spectacular. You get a good breakfast in the morning and we were so sad to leave. We didn't want to leave and wished we could do it again!

Amazing wedding venue! Such a change from the usual church settings etc. The venue is large in size both indoor and outdoor. Beautiful flowing water & waterfall next to the mill which is well maintained. Air conditioned inside. Staff are very helpful. Food was reasonable, vegetarian option was a bit standard.

Great location to visit whilst in Derby. Peaceful spot to take pictures or stay for a while to enjoy the afternoon. Lots of nature around this area with a beautiful park. Highly recommended if you happen to be visiting Derby.

We married at The West Mill in May 2019 and had the most incredible day! The venue is stunning, spacious and unique, the team are attentive, friendly and professional from the first point of contact through to the big day itself. Extra praise for our wedding co-ordinator Abbie and also the catering team/waiter staff on the day - the food was incredible and no guest was ever left with an empty glass. Great location if not somewhat daunting. Entry to the venue is not easy. A maze of barriers and bridges to conquer. Once inside it as potential. On arrival I couldn't find anyone to talk too. A bit too big.

My sister had her wedding here and it was an excellent choice. It's a very unique venue. Situated right by the River Derwent it's any wedding photographer's dream. All the staff were top notch - it's obvious they've got a lot of experience hosting weddings. Ideal for any couple looking for a memorable venue.

It was impressive as a wedding venue although some concerns over the stairs to the upper floors they could use a guide for the first steps down although there is a lift if you wish the views are good and plenty of room, outside the weir makes a good background for photo's although the fencing around the car park could be more in keeping with the mill overall very nice

An absolutely breathtaking wedding and function venue. The owners are lovely and very helpful. This place really is different to your average barn wedding that we've all become accustomed to. The mill is industrial yet stylish with all the right charm. The setting is also stunning with the mill stream running right past the front doors of the venue. Worth a visit if you're planning a more stylish wedding than the ones you're used to. This place also has it's own accommodation with 8 rooms with ensuites.

Where do I begin… we married on the 24th March 2018 and the day was perfect from start to finish all thanks to Emily (our events manager) and the rest of the team. The venue is just spectacular and we knew after our first visit that the West Mill was the right venue for us. We loved the industrial and original features and the fact that we were able to use the whole building. Moving from floor to floor ensured that the day was seamless and our guests commented on how relaxed the day felt and how much they loved the venue and setting. The caterers were fantastic and the food was delicious, again we received many compliments from our guests about the quality of the food and the portion sizes. The evening celebrations took place in The Spinning Room and we danced the night away. We stayed at the Mill House which was so convenient as it’s just across from the venue. As well as being convenient it was truly stunning inside and is decorated and furnished to the same high standard as the venue. The bridal suite was so luxurious; I could have stayed there for a few days! We have such amazing memories of our wedding day and the West Mill and the team played such a big part in our special day. My Daughter recently had her Wedding at this superb venue on 25th March.What a day!!,we already knew that the venue was beautiful from the viewing when we booked the wedding,as soon as my daughter saw it she wasn't interested in anywhere else,but all the help,advice and friendliness we received was fantastic,we thoroughly enjoyed a lovely night out when along with other couples and families getting married during the same period we were invited to an evening there to sample the atmosphere and some of the food options available in October. The wedding day itself was just such a perfect and memorable day,the organisation of the whole day by the team at the venue was the best,our wedding planner Sophie was brilliant,so friendly and nice,everybody from top to bottom were so helpful, as soon as anybody needed some help they were somehow always there without you ever noticing them,they were never in the way or over the top,i would recommend West Mill to anybody,the venue is second to none in my experience,so a massive thanks to everybody involved from the bottom of our hearts
