Catriona did an amazing job altering both my wedding dress and my bridesmaids dresses. Couldn’t have been a easy job as my dress had many layers of tulle and some of the bridesmaids needed their dresses taken in a lot, but the final result was beautiful. During the fittings Catriona was always so friendly and reassuring, making us al feel very relaxed. Dress fittings can be a bit nerve wracking but she put us all at ease. It can also. E a worrying idea to give your dress to someone to alter, but as soon as I met Catriona I could tell she really knew what she was doing and filled me with confidence. Thanks for the amazing work you did Catriona!

I can't thank Catriona enough! I ordered my wedding dress online and it was far too large and long for me. Catriona listened to the alterations we had in mind, quickly made quality alterations, helped with underwear alterations and made fantastic suggestions along the way. The end dress was outstanding and I didn't want to take it off!

I bought an amazing Oscar de la renta wedding dress from a sample sale. I took it to so many dress makers to get it repaired and fitted (it was torn badly down the back and a size or so too big) and no one would touch it. Too complicated, delicate and damaged they said... but then i came here. She didn’t even wince. It required a lot of repairs and adjustments and she did the most perfect job as well as being a total joy to be around. I had a snoop at her own collection and honestly would get married again just to wear one of hers too! Go here, you won’t regret it! Here is a snap from the back. Can you believe it was all ripped up? She is so incredibly talented and offers really reasonable prices. Thank you so much, you saved the day and I absolutely loved meeting you!

Catriona is the go to woman for the modern bride. As soon as I met her I instantly felt at ease. She is very friendly, laid back and is extremely talented and knowledgable in her field. Nothing was too much for Catriona, she gave me several options suited to my taste, then worked with me in fine tuning the outfit I liked. The result was the stunning Isla skirt and top I wore on my wedding day! She was also always on hand to give me recommendations for accessorising, to make my entire wedding look just perfect for me. In addition to this, she helped my wife out with tailoring. Her outfit was adjusted to perfection and we were both so excited when we picked out outfits up together from Catriona the day before our wedding. I’m delighted that my ceremony and reception were split (due to Covid-19) because it means I get to wear my gorgeous Catriona Garforth outfit (at least) twice! 😍 Catriona completely stands out in the industry and I could not recommend her more. Not only is Catriona super talented, she also has the most wonderful personality! For me finding the 'dress' was an absolute nightmare until I found Catriona. I was after something very specific and I also am not one for dressing up! As soon as I walked into her shop she put me at ease with her bubbly warm personality. When I told her I wanted something that would go with a jumper for my fully outdoor wedding on Isle of Skye she smiled and said fab! Not only did she design and make my outfit she also helped me decide on my shoes, jewelry and even my hair style! I looked forward to every fitting, we laughed, joked and even trotted! I will be forever grateful to her for how I felt on my wedding day, all down to her beautiful designs. Go see her, you will have no regrets!

Catriona's shop is possibly the best bridal shop in Edinburgh! She makes you feel welcome in the studio and creates an atmosphere which makes trying on dresses is very relaxed and stress free. She is so helpful about the different dress types and has a small but wonderful selection of unique dresses which are all able to be customised to create a dress which is 100% perfect for you. Highly recommended - thank you again for such a lovely bridal fitting appointment.
