My daughter and I went for a paddle boarding lesson as complete beginners. Our coach Joss was extremely friendly, supportive and encouraging. We had a fantastic experience on the canal at Auchinstarry. We even managed to get up to standing on the boards and did some turns on our first lesson. We would highly recommend Central Scotland Adventures and we look forward to doing further lessons with them to work towards doing a paddle boarding session at Loch Lomond.

Daughter a beginner at SUP, but loves it and wanted a SUP birthday party...definitely the right place! 11 very happy children, an experience they all want to repeat...parents asking for details. Everything, really everything was spot on, Rab even arranged daughter's surprise gift of her own board. Matthew and Jos excellent with the kids all felt safe and well looked after and all left really feeling proud of themselves...so much positive encouragement! In daughter's words...best birthday ever!

My friend and I went for our first paddle boarding lesson. Being ladies in our 50s we were unsure how we would do. We both had a fabulous time. Caitlin, our instructor was very nice and patient with us. We even managed to stay on the water and not in it. Very funny and calming experience in lovely surroundings Thank you

Had our first private session with Mathew this morning and it exceeded our expectations. Not only was he knowledgable and supportive but he was also the loveliest guy and great craic too. So many new skills learnt and bad habits rectified (almost!). Will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone whether brand new to SUP’ing or just wanting to brush up on skills.

Would fully recomend the wonderful folk at Central Scotland Adventures! Jos was wonderful taking 3 excitable girls out on their boards after the winter of and keeping me sane at the same time. Fun and games meant they were all happily tired out. :)Even had to tow some tired people back.

Just home from an amazing Father’s Day out with Rab and Jos. First time for all the family and the instructing was great from Rab. Start to finish he had the patience of a Saint, worked well with everyone & the whole family enjoyed the day, which is a hard feat with a 14 year old and 4 year old to please! We are booked in to do it all again already!

Great family day out in the safe care of our excellent instructor Matthew. Central Scotland Adventures were especially accommodating of our 6y/o son with ASN and it felt as though we could all enjoy the experience together. We all agreed it was one of the best activities we have done as a family for a long time. Would highly recommend!!

Had a SUP lesson with Mathew today. To say he was amazing was an understatement. What a great company! Simon and I had a couple of paddleboarding lessons last year with Rab and Jos which were great so we booked a few more to get us going again this year. Rab and Jos are positive, enthusiastic and encouraging and use all their skills, knowledge and expertise to make you feel comfortable and confident on the water and on your feet! Safety comes first, their equipment is top quality and you know you are in safe hands. What a great time we have had with this company. We will certainly book again and would recommend unreservedly Central Scotland Adventures to anyone looking for paddleboarding experience whether for families or individual.

Paddleboarding; As a paddle board owner, but being a complete novice, I decided that it would be in my best interest to book a lesson to help prepare me with regards to water safety, and teach me techniques for stopping and turning etc. My partner, Johnny, and I had an amazing experience paddling down the canal, with our instructor, Matthew, and were pleasantly surprised at how quickly we progressed under his tutelage. I would most definitely recommend Central Scotland Adventures to my friends, especially as I found them to be very competitively priced.

Just finished a lesson with Jos and was lucky enough to get one on one time. She was so patient and took everything at my own pace, explaining everything perfectly - getting me to manoeuvre about the board where I'd felt a bit routed to the spotted on my first experience with another company, and teaching me how to turn. Highly recommend to all and a great way to spend the morning out on the water.

My husband and I had a paddle boarding lesson this morning with Jocelyn. The whole session was wel run and organised. Jocelyn was a patient and good humoured teacher and helped to make the whole experience relaxed and fun. We had a fantastic time and will be back. Highly recommend!

Rab and the team at Central Scotland Adventures helped us organise a days paddleboarding for a group of work colleagues as part of a wider team building project. I cannot fault what he delivered. A fun relaxed day’s paddleboarding in a wonderful location but very efficient and thorough in the planning. What a fabulous company - highly recommend. This is how to spend a Sunday morning. Paddling up the canal against a bit of a head wind. 2 bleary eyed students like ducks to water. Lovely leisurely, mindful pace on the return. What a fantastic day paddleboarding with Rab. We went as a family of three with my daughter Ava who is 8 and has autism and is non verbal. Rab and the team have thought of everything. They prepared a social story and short video to help prepare Ava for what was going to happen. They spent time learning about her needs and special interests to make her feel as comfortable as possible. They put a sofia the first character at the top of the paddleboard which she loved. Ava had the best time and picked it up really well just from watching us. Ava was even able to stand on the paddleboard which was incredible to see. Rab is a very experienced instructor and he immediately put us as ease. He has personal experience of dealing with autism with his own family and it showed. He was patient and gentle with ava and they immediate formed a strong bond. My husband and I both loved it and I found the paddleboarding experience to be very relaxing. Being surrounded by nature listening to the birds sing while we paddled in the water was fantastic. I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did. I understand why people say paddleboarding is good for your mental wellbeing. After we dried off in the beautiful changing area we went for lunch at the boathouse a lovely pub close by. It was a perfect Sunday with the family. Thanks to rab and the team for such a special day. We would highly recommend this to any family with kids on the spectrum. In fact we plan to offer this to families who we support through our local autism charity in glasgow. Thanks again rab and we will definitely see you again.
