What an amazing experience I had with Alison at Pebblefish as my wedding planner. Alison went above and beyond during our wedding planning which we had to postpone for a year due to covid. Nothing was a bother for Alison and she was so approachable, organised and responsive through every step of the way. Alison helped with booking suppliers, supplier liaison, planning the run of the day and being there on the day to ensure everything ran smoothly. I cannot thank Alison enough for everything on the run up to and on the day, we had the best day ever and would highly recommend! Thank you again x

Alison went above and beyond. We hired her a while ago and even though she was hired for on the day coordination, Alison checked in with us throughout the pandemic and wedding planning process. She was an absolute godsend in the final month running up to the wedding - she took on final liaison with the suppliers which allowed us to focus on other things. This was especially helpful when one supplier went quiet on me, but Alison got them on board! On the wedding day itself Alison was a calm and steady presence and helped make the day run smoothly. Our families also sang her praises for her approachability and sense of humour. I would hire Alison again in a shot and highly recommend her for any future couples. Without Alison to help finalise plans and coordinate, we wouldn't have relaxed into and therefore enjoyed our wedding day as much as we did!

From the very beginning, we knew Alison was the perfect wedding planner for us. She was organized, responsive, and on top of all the details. In addition to COVID and multiple delays to our schedule, an added stress was that we live in the United States and we needed someone willing to do the groundwork in Scotland. Alison turned a stressful situation into a pleasant experience as she handled all aspects of the planning effort to include flowers, piper, band, church, reception, videographer, photographer, and caterer (plus taxis and guest gifts). The ultimate outcome was incredible...the small church wedding and the Stirling castle reception were a fairy tale dream come true for our daughter and all our guests!

We are from Ontario, Canada and hired Alison O'Neill to plan our wedding in Edinburgh, Scotland. We found her to be exceptional! She was able to make our vision come true and was in communication with us on a regular basis. She presented several venue choices, which she had personally visited and videoed for us. Due to Covid circumstances we had a small wedding at home here in Canada instead of Edinburgh as originally planned. Alison was very understanding and quickly switched gears... arranging a wedding blessing & handfasting ceremony at the original venue, Prestonfield House. Not only did this help us recoup deposits we had put down, but allowed us to realize our dream of a Scottish themed wedding as it is part of our family histories. Alison's enthusiasm & easy going personality made her a pleasure to deal with. We can't thank Alison enough for going above & beyond and we would highly recommend her to plan your wedding or event!

Alison was an absolute gem and saved the day probably multiple times over. We had only hired her as a day of coordinator, but she got involved a few weeks before, got us quotes for things we were struggling to find and helped with the final few details. She came to see us and the venue twice before the day itself. On the day she dealt with everything, we had no idea there were any issues until she told us afterwards (and after they had been sorted). Afterwards she still stayed involved to try to help us solve issues we were having with a bad supplier, which lasted over 2 weeks post wedding. She was so helpful, I regretted not booking for full planning!

I'd just like to echo all of the really positive feedback others have posted on here. Pebblefish helped us plan a surprise wedding anniversary celebration for my parents. We really wanted to plan something special but knew we would struggle to find the time. On meeting Alison we knew we would be in safe hands. She is exceptionally professional but never took over, if that makes sense. She is also great fun and extraordinarily kind. Alison found us the most amazing venue I doubt we would ever have found ourselves. She really listened and understood the type of party we wanted to throw and cared about finding out about the type of people our parents are so that she could make sure the venue would be perfect for them too. With the celebration being a surprise, Alison handled everything, liaised with our guests and managed invitations, RSVPs and all of the questions our guests had about travel, accommodation and menus. The only thing we had to worry about was not letting the secret out of the bag. My wife and I really enjoyed working with Alison. When meeting with suppliers, especially with caterers, she asked questions, we would never have thought to ask and we could see that the suppliers responded well to her. I wasn't sure what to expect when working with a planner, but she is so chilled and calm about things, we had total faith in her throughout. Pebblefish was recommended to us and I honestly would have no hesitation in recommending them and Alison to anyone planning an event.

Just the best service!!! Like most people, I have never worked with an event planner and I had no idea what to expect, but Pebblefish have been the most amazing surprise. Alison, who planned our event is beyond lovely. She is so professional and knowledgeable but so down to earth and incredibly patient and kind. I maybe had different preconceptions of how working with a planner would be, but I can honestly say I have loved every minute. She really does care. We got to focus on the fun stuff whilst Alison was busy doing so much work on our behalf. Yes, it's an extra cost, but I genuinely believe we saved money in the long run as even from the start I could see where we could have made mistakes. And of course she saved us so much time. I would, without hesitation recommend Pebblefish and Alison to anyone who is planning an event. In fact we have already recommended her to friends. We had already booked a venue when we met her, but if I could do it all again I would have left this to her also as she really knows how to match a venue to your event. HIRE A WEDDING PLANNER!!! The best decision we made was choosing to work with Alison and Pebblefish when planning our wedding. From the start, Alison really made planning our wedding fun, even when it came to setting up our budget...I will forever hear, make your budget your new best friend!!! She really listened to us and what we wanted, then took care of everything we asked of her, she never made us feel under pressure to make a decision and always helped to patiently explain our options. She is so hard working. She has been so kind and funny and helpful and smart and creative and everything you could possible want when choosing someone to help plan your wedding, She has kept me sane. But over the last few months, Alison has been truly incredible. Before we had even thought there may be an issue with our wedding date due to COVID19, Alison had spoken to our venue and all of our suppliers and had a whole range of alternative plans to discuss with us when the time came. We barely had to do anything. I trust her completely and so never doubted that everything would be resolved. At a time when people understandably are concerned about their business and their own worries, Alison made up feel as though we were her only priority, sometimes just checking in to say hi. Like everyone else, we were faced with the possibility of having to cancel or reschedule our wedding. We had no idea what to do for the best but speaking with Alison at Pebblefish really helped us to come up with a plan for us. She helped us find a smaller venue for us and 12 guests and did all the rescheduling of our existing booking so that we now have an anniversary party where we can invite all of our original guests. I just want to say that Alison was amazing throughout all of this. She remained positive and upbeat even when guidelines were changing and we were panicking. Quite literally saved our wedding day. After losing our venue four months out through no fault of our own, Pebblefish not only found us an amazing replacement, but kept in touch with us and the venue right up until set-up time. As well as helping us out last minute which we know was a big ask, she worked with us to make sure everything else we had planned was confirmed and made sure all of our suppliers knew where and when to be. Where to start, Pebblefish not only brilliantly organised a surprise birthday party for our grandmother but helped co-ordinate flights and other travel arrangements as well as accommodation for our somewhat extended family. The party itself was amazing, Alison's ideas were fantastic and the way she styled our venue was just phenomenal. The attention to detail and especially her attention to who my grandmother was as a person was more than we could have expected and made the whole experience more personal. I can't begin to imagine how demanding we all were as a family, but Alison remained calm and positive and upbeat throughout. We’ve been working with Alison for over a year now and she’s been a absolute Godsend. I know I wouldn’t have got half the stuff done without her, actually I’d probably have given up a long time ago, especially when dealing with some ‘difficult’ suppliers but Alison has taken the strain and stress out of planning the wedding and made it an enjoyable, relaxed experience for us.
