This was the most incredibly well-stacked event I've been to. The staff were friendly for all the 12 hours we were there. The venue was beautiful, spacious, and elegant indoors and outdoors. The hall had great acoustics for the unamplified wedding ceremony and speeches and an amplified band. Plenty of room for dancing. Outdoors we had plenty of space to play Cornhole and take some beautiful photos. Even just walking up this place is impressive.

My daughter was married here last year. Couldn't fault it. Beautiful venue , relaxed atmosphere and lovely grounds for photographs. Hasn't heard of it before this as not from Glasgow but it is stunning and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone

Fantastic venue for events! We were there for a wedding and the place is just gorgeous - it's got an old classic air to it but also it's got a whole lot you need for an event - nice outdoors area, bar and stage and dancing floor that can be quickly converted to a dining hall. Top notch!

Beautiful building. Cracking venue, great staff, lovely loos, super kitchen for caterers, well staffed and stocked bar. Acoustic can be harsh in the main hall though. Good PA/sound person required to avoid aural discomfort for guests. Been twice so I know how good the sound can be.....

The most welcoming, friendly and helpful staff you could wish for. The building is clean, neat & well kept. It opens out onto a lovely park which a short walk through reveals a marvelous kids play park area, a true godsend during the long afternoon of the wedding we attended.

My daughter is having her wedding here next year. Pre visit was fab. The venue and surroundings are beautiful. The bridal suite can be hired separately if needed. There is plenty of on street parking and very close to Glasgow City Centre. The venue stands on the grounds of a lovely public park.

My wife and I chose Pollokshields Burgh Hall as the venue for our wedding ceremony. It is a stunning building with multiple rooms of many sizes. For our wedding of around 100 people, we made use of Maxwell Hall for the ceremony, dancing, and dinner, and Stirling Hall for the bar and buffet (“The Bar” room was under construction at the time). The building, its rooms and the hallway are spacious and warm. The natural rich wood decor fit us so well that minimal self-decoration was required. Look carefully for the unique stained glass in Maxwell Hall showing its masonic history! The staff at Pollokshields Burgh Hall were friendly and professional, making sure our day was a success and went beyond the call of duty for some of our guests that needed extra assistance. I highly recommend making use of their luxury apartment located less than 10 seconds walk from the hall itself. There’s nothing like falling into bed (or bath, if you will) after a long and exciting wedding day. A big thank you to all the staff at the hall!

Pollokshields Burgh hall is a beautiful building situated in Maxwell park in Glasgow's southside. It's a wonderful place to hold a wedding with plenty of gorgeous rooms and stunning stained glass windows. It's also an excellent price to hire, especially on a Sunday as we did! I got married here in 2011. The staff are helpful and friendly and as soon as we were shown round we knew it was where we wanted to celebrate our big day. It didn't disappoint, we were able to customise it with our own decor and were very lucky with a gorgeous sunny day to enjoy being outside the Loggia downstairs for our champagne reception and also have some lovely photos taken in the park. We had a humanist ceremony here and managed to squeeze in 139 guests! :) One of the main reasons we chose it (other than being a stunning building with beautiful hallways and the large Maxwell room) was the option to bring in any caterer so we were able to have an Indian feast and set up our own cheese table for after! Amazing! We also had plenty of indoor space in case we weren't so lucky with the weather. I've also taken pilates classes here and I believe there are plenty of other events on throughout the year as well. I just love the building and still like to visit and have a walk round the outside.

A historical building in excellent condition operated by Glasgow City Council as a venue for many occasions. All the public areas are well maintained. Limited parking at the venue but other parking is available in the local streets.
