Would highly recommend White Birch Manor to anyone - whether for a weekend away to escape or family holiday!
We had a wonderful weekend celebrating with family. The food by Symon was INCREDIBLE and everyone needs to try!! Both Ruth and Symon made this weekend one to remember with all the lovely personal touches around the house as well as the hospitality throughout our stay!
It was so amazing we have already booked our next visit!
Thank you Ruth and Symon, you made our stay at White Birch Manor one to remember!

We just had our intimate Wedding at Whitebirch and it was the best weekend ever!! The food we had (which was a lot) was all amazing and our guests loved it all. The accommodation is stunning and Symon & Ruth make the best hosts. There wasn't anything they wouldn't do for us to make sure we had the best Wedding! We hope to stay again for our anniversary :)

Just spent a wonderful weekend at White Birch Manor with three generations of family (and the dog!) to celebrate two special birthdays. It was pure luxury and we were treated like royalty! Amazing food and lovely local dog walks. Thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and playing games in the beautiful grounds - plenty of space for everyone. Comfy beds and peaceful surroundings meant good sleeps all round. Would definitely recommend.

What a fabulous place to spend a weekend where we celebrated a significant birthday recently. It was made even better than we could have imagined due to the lovely hosts, Ruth and Symon. They went above and beyond what was expected to make our stay memorable. Ruth's attention to detail, Symon's wonderful food and the beautiful setting is what makes you want to return. Thank you.

What an absolutely fabulous place, so much history in the building and comfort in the interior. As a large family group (8 adults and 3 kids) we all had plenty of space. The grounds are beautiful and the pool is fantastic. We had an amazing catered evening by our hosts Ruth and Symon. The food was divine and they managed all of our allergies and fussy eaters. We can not recommend this place enough.
Thanks you both so much.

When you think of wedding food, it’s a bit of a mixed bag. Some weddings I’ve been to, the food has been good, but, you know, slightly too dry, not quite warm enough. It’s mass catering, right? Tricky to do well and never going to be a gourmet experience.
Wrong. At our reception, White Birch Manor completely rubbished my assumptions of what wedding food can be. The meal they produced was simply superb, easily the equal of many a feted restaurant, cooked perfectly and served to over 80 people. Not only this, but for each course there were three different menu options and deciding what to eat was perhaps the most difficult decision we had to make in the run up to the big day.
White Birch Manor is run by Simon (the chef) and Ruth (who runs everything else) and on top of being the best at what they do, they are some of the friendliest and most helpful people you could ever hope to deal with. They started off with a thorough consultation over the phone as to what we liked to eat, recommended choices from their menu based on our preferences and budget, all the while offering to get creative off-menu if there was something we particularly fancied. My bride’s vegetarian habit did not faze them, and they came up with a huge range of choices. They were also happy to accommodate a slew of guests’ varying dietary requirements.
They then invited us down to White Birch Manor itself, a beautiful old house in Gloucestershire (you can stay there too!), and putting on a tasting for me, my bride-to-be and my parents, of all our chosen options. And by tasting, I mean full three course meal; we had to be rolled out of the door at the end of the evening. All at no additional cost.
In the end we settled on:
Starters:
Trio of gazpacho soups
Shredded Duck & Plum Samosa, Crispy Seaweed Salad
Seared Scallops, Chilli Vermicelli Guacamole & Chorizo
Main:
Roast Rib of Hereford Beef, Goose Fat Roast Potatoes, all the Trimmings
Slow Roasted Belly Pork, Leek Comfit, Severn Cider Glaze
Golden Courgette, red pepper and goat’s cheese Tart, Shallot Compote (V)
Dessert:
Chilli Chocolate Brownie, Malteser Ice Cream, Ganache
Classic Lemon Tart with Berry Granita & Rose Water Sorbet
It did taste as good as it sounds!
The day before the wedding, Ruth and her team were on site making sure the kitchen and tables were all set up and ready to go. They were unflappable, an oasis of calm as we ran around like lunatics trying to finish setting up the rest of the wedding.
On the wedding day itself, Ruth, Simon and their team of excellent waitresses were all brilliant, looking after us and our guests throughout the day and evening, ensuring our glasses were always topped up and our bellies were full. The evening food of pulled pork/pulled sweet potato baps and pizzas was every bit as good. Everybody had nothing but praise for the food and standard of service.
So, if food is important to you and you want something special for your wedding day, look no further than White Birch Manor – they are the best in the business.
