We went to see simply red on Saturday. Unfortunately our tickets were for Friday. Our fault for not checking but I have to thank the box office staff for helping us get seats close to where we should have been. They were so nice and friendly and saved the day. Also the security staff and hospitality staff were great. Will be back but next time on the right night!

This was my first visit to the Bonus Arena the temptation of seeing Offspring was too good to miss and they didn't disappoint! Amazing night. I found the whole process of getting in, to buying drinks and food very easy. The staff were friendly and polite and the security was excellent, it felt very safe. I will definitely be looking at more concerts to book in the future!

Great experience staff member bald Head glasses stood on standing floor door really nice and helpfull, Thank you. Great venue, easy in and out well organised. Would definitely recommend. Even giving out water which was really appreciated 👌 and needed. Thank you Fab time had by me and the 2 girls i brought. Ohh, James Arthur was Amazing too 😀

Polite staff, nice restaurant and a reasonably good service. Asked if I wanted a beer, I said yes and got given Heineken. Not a beer I like and wasn't given any options. So I got an Egyptian beer 2nd time.
The prawn starter my wife had was 3 or 4 rubbery prawns and a hole heap of lettuce. Mediocre at best. My calamari was a lot better and spot on with crispy batter.
We both had steak - fillet. Well we both sent these back as they were more like rump, tough to cut and smothered in a burnt cajun spice mix.
We got a plain steak replacement which was far better. Overall pretty good. There's is better in the marina area so they need to pick up their game a bit to get a 5 star.
Staff and management dealt with our issue professionally and with out fuss.
Ask for plain steak if you don't like a heavy cajun rub.

Came here for the 1st time to see Texas. 1st impression of area fabulous. Nice place staff seemed friendly . All good until we went to the bar . Very young an dopy staff .ordered beer and it was off or smelt like chemical eeeekkkk. Asked for it to be changed and staff looked dumb struck. Called over the manager ( who didn't look much older) was very stroppy and said wed have to pay again for more drinks ( obviously didn't order the same beer clearly was chemicals in it .could of made us ill) but no had the pay for it and get the other refunded . Disgusting they should of apologised and gave us them for free . I think my friend will certainly be making an official complaint regarding this.

We went to see Mrs browns boys, the show was good from what we could see, but I think a screen could have been beneficial for those that were sat near to the back, although you can hear ok, the facial expressions were none existent for us unfortunately and we was seated half way back. I would recommend seating near the front as possible for shows like this. We wish we could have got seats closer but all had sold out. I think those at the back would have struggled to see much at all. Very disappointing. You can see how we had to zoom right in on our photos, for the price u pay a screen would attract more visitors back in my opinion. And food and drink is pricey.

Really wasn't expecting to enjoy a gig here as much as I did, given that on the face of it it's a big boxy room, but it was pretty much a perfect size to see Elbow.
Once the lights were down and the show started, the arena actually had a bit of a super-sized concert hall feel due to the boxes at the side and some great lighting design.
We sat up on level 3, which although a bit further back than I'd have preferred still gave us a great view of the stage, and was far enough away that the talking from the crowd down on the floor didn't interfere with the support acts too much. Decent legroom for a 6'2" tall person too...
Sound quality was awesome (admittedly this has more to do with the Bands Performance, Engineers and PA than the venue) so clearly the venue has decent acoustics, and I would happily come see more gigs here!
M. C. (.
Great concert and nice venue, but the seats are small and really packed in. Person next to me was half on my seat. We were all kinda jammed in. Otherwise, great.
J. O.
Its a lovely new venue saw Bastille they were brilliant staff were lovely and organised , toilets were hard to find and main problem was getting into it all the roads were closed off and our sat nav was sending us down them , make sure you put the carpark postcode in if using a sat nav

Good security, plenty of sanitiser dispensers, staff friendly and helpful. Great night watching Paul Weller.
p. s.
went to see simply red.very interesting place only been up for 5years. think it hold about 3,000 people.seating very good caters for all walks of life.very good for people in wheelchairs. 3 floors and they have a lift to all floors.toilet on all levels.they have a bar and serves food bit pricey. that will be normal for theatre
w. 7.
Good location great layout to see a band. chairs very close together expect to stand up alot! Drinks are stupid prices! Don't squeeze the bottles or your wine will end up on the floor....
J. S.
The staff at this arena are absolutely amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. Always greeted with smiles and they're only to happy to help navigate your way around. We opted for VIP and the private bar, where the bar staff were really friendly. Looking forward to another gig and experience back there soon
K. V.
Very accurate small concert hall, any place you choose will take you closer to stage than you expect, brilliant sound, would reccomend will win in comparison with other larger venues.

Had disabled access tickets to see Human League. Whilst supporting act, Altered Images, were on we realised that the disabled seating was situated in a terrible place as they were next to the entrance doors and so there were people walking in front of us and stopping to check their tickets and find out where their seats were, or were standing in the area taking photos, therefore blocking our view of the stage. During the break we complained and the manager apologised and managed to find us seats in the VIP area where we had a fantastic view to watch The Human League. Absolutely fantastic customer service. Thank you
H. S.
Nice venue and excellent location. 5 min walk from the train station, and plenty of car parking right behind it. We went for the Jurassic Live show. The only downside would be the stage level is quite expansive before it get to the rising level of seats, so it seems you're well away from the performance. Admittedly that would be better for live music and standing room, so can't mark it down too much for it.
D. B.
Great venue easy to find, parkng next to it.and cheap.
Venue is clean.wel staffed and has good views.even from the back!
Food and drinks are expensive though.
T. S.
Went to see James Blunt. Needed food and a drink from the second floor bar. The service was excellent. Above and beyond most good restaurants.
The burgers and fries were excellent. Up to the standard of a good gourmet specialist.
I would give them ten out of ten for the food and service.
The concert was excellent too.
J. N.
It was a great show and the queue at the bar was reasonable, the venue itself is managed well. My only gripe is that having paid for front row seats, the stage is a little too high to be able to see everything, so perhaps needs consideration by the venue and by other people thinking about the front row.
G. K.
We went to the Bonus Arena Hull to watch the Final of the Seniors snooker championship on the 7-01-22.
The Arena was an excellent venue for the event but what was most impressive were the Staff.
Myself and my mom are not very able-bodied and the staff were professional, friendly, helpful and went out of there way to do what they could to make sure we were OK from the security when entering to the Arena staff directing us to the correct seating.
They deserve recognition as very rarely is all the staff team of a large venue friendly, approachable and happy to help without being prompted or asked.
Thank you for a great experience Bonus Arena Hull and long may you excellent customer relations continue.
5 ☆☆☆☆☆ service.
A. C.
Fantastic venue intimate, not too big not too small. Parking all around just don't do what we did and park on top floor carpark took ages to get off!
C. C.
Went to see Simply Red... Absolutely fantastic show.... loved every minute... Mica Paris was awesome too.... looking foward to see Jame's Arthur in march 👌🥰
H. P.
A venue with interchangeable set-up. I was sat on the most left side (if looking at the stage) front row and still had a wonderful uninterrupted view. The building is well signed to where the seating is. My only issue is the seating is quiet tight. The seats did not have arms however leg room is lacking.
J. B.
3rd visit here and excellent each time. Have 3 more visits planed this year and 1 next year so far. The War of the World's show really was spectacular, both musically and visually. Can highly recommend this venue, and War of the World's if you have the opportunity to catch the show elsewhere.
G. B.
Such a great venue! The view was amazing. There were plenty of toilets and entrances. Everywhere was nice and clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful.
I. R.
Our very first visit for the Michael Kiwanuka gig (14/5/22).
A superb venue with plenty of good parking in easy distance which was great.
A very special mention to ALL of the staff we encountered. From the security staff outside to the box office staff bar staff and ushers inside each and every one of them we encountered were extremely helpful and friendly. They were too very well organised in each of their individual roles.
From the toilets to the main arena everything was very clean and tidy.
The gig itself was absolutely amazing too incidentally!
Would we visit again or recommend it?...ABSOLUTELY!
Thank you EVERYONE for making our visit such a special one! Continued success 👏
R. W.
Went to watch James blunt with Gavin James as support act the pair were brilliant
M. '. N.
A lovely place but lacking, as most places, in leg room. I have osteoarthritis in one of my knees and I need to sit higher up and not have my knees bent so much, unfortunately there is not enough room in front of the seat for me to get comfortable. Luckily I had a wall behind me so could stand up and rest my backside on the back of the seat.
Also, to gain entry, one of the stipulations was that you had to have either a Covid passport, jabbed twice, or had covid the prior 60 days (something like that) and be prepared to give proof if asked. Nobody was asked. We were extremely thoroughly searched with a quick empty of the pockets and bags etc, even a metal detection wand passed over us, but no covid questions. Now I'm not fussed, but if they're not requiring them, just don't put it down as a rule of entry.
A. G.
Quick entry. Fast bar queues, good view in arena and decent sound. Only downsides really was price of beer (I live in Yorkshire), and the time taken to get out of the multi storey car park afterwards (ages). As a venue itself though, not bad.
G. W.
Good performance space. Far too much alcohol being sold during the performance, leading to multiple disturbances of what otherwise was a great evening.
A. S.
We were in the double letter rows, right at the top of the seating area, furthest from the stage. It is a long way back and definitely the cheap seats! But good clean arena and could see the stage, just take your binoculars!
R. H.
The first time I've been and it's modern, in a good central location. Not sure if there's sufficient toilets though.
B.
No issues really, it has two multistorey parking lots right next to it and is easily accessible.
Bit crammed once you're seated I found, unless you're all very slim you are rubbing shoulders.
M. S.
Went to see Michael bolton. Very good venue. Had fantastic view and was eight rows from the front. Great concert, excellent lighting and sound
S. B.
A brilliant evening at excellent venue to watch a superstar Bryan Adams thank you
D. C.
The arena has great acoustics and a fantastic venue. (However) security during the concerts should be better. We had an issue with 4 extremely drunk individuals. One of which was dancing on the seat. (Seen by a security person yet ignored) who fell backwards and landed on me! She could of easily injured me as she came flying backwards. Or worse still she could of fell forward and fell on the gangway bellow!! I saw the security looking and watching. But nothing was said or done!! These issues need to be addressed as these individuals spoilt our concert.
L. S.
A nice arena.. not too big.. not too small... we were there for a Paul Weller concert and felt very safe with the security and staffing levels... take the lift though if you're on level 3!
A. B.
Great venue, tiered brilliantly so view of the stage is fab. Loads of parking in Prices Quay or nearby. Only downside which might have been the act, but would have been cool to have the act projected onto the big screen for us mere mortals up in the gods 😉
J. B.
Went to see Mrs Brown’s Boys Wednesday 15th June, absolutely brilliant and the venue is awesome. However, my only criticism is the bottled drinks policy! If you’re going to hand them out without lids on, which I don’t understand the reason for, then at least let the customer take it off for themselves, in this day and age of covid-19 still on peoples minds, I really don’t want someone else touching the bottle neck with their grubby hands unless gloves are worn!
J. F.
Although this is a smaller-than-most arena, it's not the best laid out in terms of getting to be close to the acts. Imagine a cinema rather than an amphitheatre.
Two things that did let it down was signage and on the ball staff:
Staff outside the venue should know that if there's two lines to get in then they should confirm with you where you should be going - they don't tell you, you get to know when someone else happens to mention that "seated customers" should be in the other queue!
Signage. If you put up signs for "seats 1-10" then very near to that sign you also need to signpost where the rest of the seats are.
A. J.
Loved it. Was a great venue, felt quite intimate compared to other places I've been.
No long aueues to get in. Served at the bar quickly. Would recommend 👍
P. B.
Saw John Bishop here, really enjoyed the show, drinks were a little pricey, over £4 for two bottles of water, and what's with taking the tops off? I'm not a three year old likely to choke on it, yet a man in front of me was allowed a full glass bottle of wine! Who makes these rules up, Boris?
S. M.
I just wanted to have a good night listening to Magic of Motown but no... I had to listen to some members of staff particularly one very large muscular male in a purple jacket shouting and screaming at two older ladies demanding they get back to there seats when all they wanted to do was dance along to the music .No please or thank you... Nothing.
.
I understand that dancing away from your seat may not be allowed in the arena but some of your staff need a lesson in how to approach people..... discussing attitude.
n. r.
First time to the arena to see War of the Worlds which we had booked before COVID. Very quick entry. Great seats. Fantastic sound. Hull should be very proud of this arena.
D. P.
Great venue. Highly recommended for standing ... seated a bit far from stage
J. M.
Great mid sized venue. Fosls
A. H.
Never worked this Arena before but the shift I did was excellent. The venue is easy to get to driving from Sheffield and can park behind the Arena in a multi storey car park for just three pounds. We'll worth a visit!👍
M. D.
Went too see Pet Shop Boys, venue easy to get.to lots of parking close by. event stewards very knowledgeable about where we're were sitting. Great time
D. S.
Perfect sized venue for music gigs. Loads of standing room in front of the stage, plenty of seating higher up, with super viewing. Bars were efficient, staff very helpful.
L. E.
Since Covid Restrictions have been lifted I have visited the Bonus Arena 3 times whilst never visiting before Covid. I went to see Blossoms, Craig David and Mrs Browns Boys. Every visit has been really enjoyable. The temperature has never been to bad. It is easy to get parked to visit the place and the drink prices are ok whilst all the members of staff are very helpful. Look forward to whoever else the Bonus Arena gets in!
M. S.
It's an odd venue. Small for an arena. Paid extra for the lounge experience- felt like an overcrowded temporary classroom rather than a VIP area. Staff could nit have been more friendly and helpful though.
G. L.
Why does this page always feel like it was built 'cheap'? Is it the seats the move when anyone breathes? Is it the wall to wall concrete? Is it that not all events in here have decent sound quality (war of the worlds was pure screeching awful, and I love that soundtrack, are they your sound techs? Do you have any QA staff to challenge if so) Not sure and I can't quite work out why it's not brilliant...
But, it has hosted some great acts, and Blondie was superb..
Maybe a review with some honest feedback is required.. get some consultants in and let them tell you what to do.. or, just leave as is and people will still come... Like Hull tends to do.
w. b.
Great loads of space for disabled. Only problem i had was i couldn't stand people we're dancing because it was a big floor space and i unfortunately couldn't see. But the staff were great x
a. c.
Excellent venue, good seating. Bars and food outlet on all levels, bit pricey.
L. F.
Great place to watch your favourite act or show. I had a great time. The only criticism I have is that the drinks are really expensive but other than that I would definitely recommend 🙂
P. W.
Great place, very expensive for drinks and don't get sat right at the back on the upper tier as you won't see much. Saw Sarah Millican so not an issue for that but be aware. Well organised and easy to get out after. Overall a great experience. 😎
b. c.
Not too big, just right. Good seating. However, I am currently wearing a surgical boot and using a crutch. My daughter has multiple sclerosis and has trouble walking! The crowds around the lift was very wearing and uncomfortable because the waiting around isn't conducive for anyone with a disability. It just marred the occasion somewhat.
C. L.
Signage in the arena isn't very good. We were in the stalls to watch Mrs Browns Boys, we queued for drinks and snacks then finally walked through some doors once we where told where to go and a huge Bar area with no Queue whatsoever. The stalls area needs to be on an incline away from the stage, viewing is limited but could be solved so easily with an inclined floor. My veiw was the back of a womans head for the full performance. No signage for toilets from stalls area.
J. H.
Could not fault the staff at all. Very welcoming and very helpful. There is a confusion on seat rows and seat numbers downstairs. But they do take them away and put the in for different shows. It was a pleasant experience. Ample car parking across the road.
V. G.
Over priced drinks. Poor bar staff. You have to leave your drink on a floor in the corridor to go outside, extremely easy for someone to spike or take your £6.50 drink.
Ignorant security, plastic glasses being thrown from the balcony and security just watched. A member of bar staff being verbally assaulted by a drunk man with 5 security people stood near gossiping.
On a plus note, the sound is great and toilets are clean.
R. T.
Jack Savoretti at Bonus Arena with meal in restaurant beforehand. Great evening. The restaurant food was nice but lacked a bit if atmosphere. Some background music would have helped
M. D.
Watched Simple Minds, brilliant!
Seats near the stage were a bit close together. However everyone was standing, which does make it difficult to see if you are a smaller person!
D. J.
Great view, but would not purchase food and drink as very expensive, you can't take your own in so either spend a fortune or go without, if you park in multi storey be prepared to wait to exit. Better try parking on street.
m. n.
My wife and myself attended the Paul Weller concert on 6th April, unfortunately my wife has issues with heights and I'd purchased tickets "up in the gods" the staff were brilliant in getting back to ground level, I would just like to thank Peter Magee top man
k. b. b.
Bonus Arena is smart impeccably clean and easily accessible. The staff were welcoming, friendly, polite and went the extra mile. We will visit again
C. H.
Blondie!! What an awesome experience. Staff were amazing and so helpful. A fantastic night!
P.
Love the bonus arena, good size as not too big. Plenty of toilets and never have to wait long at the bar!! Been several times and hope to return soon
G. R.
Great venue, large but not so big that you lose the connection with the performers. Most importantly, plenty of toilets. Will definitely return again.
T. G.
I always relish the prospect of attending an event at the Bonus Arena. The sound quality and atmosphere enhance any live performance. My only complaint of the venue concerns the audience culture which cannot be easily controlled. I have recently attended the Simply Red and Bastille concerts and both were spoilt by members of the audience constantly needing to be let in and out of their seats to purchase drinks or to go to the toilet as a result. On both occasions, the evening has been spoilt by drunken behaviour behind me and even a drink being knocked over resulting in my handbag sitting in liquid for the whole evening. Why can people not go even three hours without the need to consume alcohol?
N. H.
No arms on the seats and beer was pricey. But the act was great, the staff were all polite and helpful, the arena is plenty big enough. The facilities are great but the cubicle doors squeaked a lot.
J. M.
Excellent seeing Joe Lycett. But bonus arena....I wanted a bottle of fanta orange but you take off the cap and I cannot have it. Safety apparently......but whats safe about people knocking over my drink with no lid on and slipping.....STUPID RULE.
D. P.
Staff helpful and the event was well organised. Bar upstairs was closed which was a bit annoying. Seats we had had lots of space for my long legs but seats a little uncomfortable.
J. M.
1st time came here to see Bastille, paid for private bar, what a relaxing night, lovely staff, barmaid was a bit miserable, but rest of staff were great fun , great venue,, Bastille were fantastic, hope they visit again :)
A. A.
We had a lovely time on Monday night seeing Mrs browns boys a dream come true for me sad I couldn't get an autograph at end was very disappointed as I'm a pensioner and dont get out much. But want to thank them for a brilliant sho . I will go see them again hopefully. Staff were marvelous helped me out as I could not walk far or stand for long . They changed my seats and the medics looked after me very well thankyou so very much xxxx
A. S.
Went to see Jack Savoretti. The Bonus Arena is a brilliant venue and they were very organised and ticket checking was extremely fast and efficient. Just reme.ber you need £3 for parking in Osbourne St car park
M. E.
Great venue, easy access and plenty of parking. Juat short of £7 a pint is a bit steep, takes the edge off a great nigbt.
T. H.
Seating very cramped and not suitable for bigger people. The show was amazing though.
E. D. R.
Great venue, good sound, only downside is the seats are very small! Craig David was amazing!
N. C.
Decent well organised venue. Plenty of seating and standing space. Good acoustics. Great location.
L. K.
Excellent venue and get great acts. View from level 3 is great. Only thing that would add to the experience would be a camera on the act and then this projected onto big screen.
S. H.
Great venue for concerts and shows. Good parking all around and minimal queueing on the occasions we have been
c. t.
My first time here, saw James Arthur, fantastic night !! Just a shame that the drinks where so expensive 🤔🙄😔
K. D.
The seats get uncomfortable after a while of been sat . The stairs to get to seats are not good if you suffer with leg illnesses or bad at walking.
The staff are very helpful and friendly 🙂. Only pay by card
L. H.
I felt that the sound didn't travel well access the room. At times didn't hear what was being said, maybe the actors being quiet or the microphones not high enough but missed some of the jokes and punch lines! Spoke to others who attended on both nights and they said the same.
M. C.
Hard to believe in this day and age you can't take water in. Oh no "it's against venue policy! It's a plastic bottle!" A weapon?
No it's simply so you can queue for 15 minutes to pay £12 for 2 coffees and bags of sweets
Rip off
L. G.
Saw hilarious Alan Partridge. Venue was clean, safe and very secure. Great size if like me you're not keen on very large auditoriums.
p. s.
Decent venue encouraging good talent to visit.Great facilities and can't beat the 2 pint pots
B. N.
Nice place..but struggled with grandkids to try and help them sit where they could see without annoying people behind..asked for a booster seat for the 2 year old but was told they dont do them..i know its mostly music venue but as we was seeing jurrassic live..would of thought they would have had one or two..
M. B.
I
It's the first time I have visited your Arena I'm very impressed, all the staff we're so pleased to help I'm unfortunately a little unsteady on legs I'm looking forward to coming in the future
K. G.
Great venue easy parking next to. it went to see mrs browns boys. Loved it.
K. W.
Absolutely amazing venue
M. R.
Fantastic concert very well organised. Friendly helpful staff, and resonable prices for food and drink.
D.
Really good arena but found the process of security very tedious, checked our tickets 4 times outside, and it was raining. Venues great though.
K. C.
Watched war of the world's. Was in disabled area which was in the doorway not good as people kept going in and out. But gave good view
M. S.
Went to see simply red Brill 😍 venue is easy to find and plenty of car parking available waited outside at 5.30 starts at 6 nah that's when you get in ! Show started at 7.45 staff were friendly seat numbers was a disaster a lot of people going to bar during show but overall a brilliant night hope covid keeps away !!
A. P.
Good show, (strictly pros), but very warm inside. Good acoustics, would visit again. Probably book a restaurant table for before the show.
M. C.
Well organized queues not to bad getting in and at the bars just a bit of a free for all leaving with the staircases getting a bit hectic
M. R.
Great venue. Seen alot of complaints about the 3rd tier seating being very high up which is like complaining rain is wet. The staff were lovely throughout the venue. The refreshments were refreshing and no matter where I've sat in the venue, the sound was great. Would highly recommend a visit here.
w. r.
Had a great time in hull arena watching bullet for my valentine very well organized would come back again
J. S.
Parking around the venue is brilliant. Lots of choices all with a 5 minute walk. The venue itself is very clean and tidy with great toilets.
Inside the main hall it was freezing. It's much smaller than you would think too. The seats were comfy enough but I couldn't get over the cold feeling.
Great sound and lighting and very polite staff.
G. B.
Seen concerts here aquatic excellent let you all no more after a comedy show security is over the top for a comedy show
M. B.
Huge place. Not many places to get a drink. Actual theater has lots of leg room and a good view of the stage. Security and covid clearance was good. Staff were helpful.
T. B.
Fantastic venue.
Great modern and fantastic views!
L.
Great venue to see Texas. Friendly staff, very well organised for searching. This was a seated concert and due to the incline of the stadium everybody had a brilliant view.
C. L.
We went to the Bonus Area to see Australian Floyd who were excellent. This was a great venue to watch a band. The staff were really friendly, we had a good view and there were plenty of places to get drinks without too long a queue.
J. B.
Human league didn't disappoint with their performance. Amazing. the strobe lighting was brilliantly done. Well organised just wish people would get there on time and not during performance . Looking forward to going again...War of the worlds.....erasure....
H. S.
First visit to bonus arena to see Tim Peake. Everything went smooth on arrival and a great show . Can be slow on departure depending where seated. No complaints.
L. T.
Been a few times for gigs and also shows ,great arena , really handy parking at Princess Quay. Clean and well organised.
B. H.
James Blunt was great, however Bonus Arena just fell short of other arena's.
The sound was strained and lacked clarity in everything that was played, even a band member said it wasn't up to other arenas.
There was not enough toilets.
And don't be fooled by the times on your tickets! We got told the show started at 6:30 and to be there in good time, turned up at 5:45 and spent 45 mins in the freezing cold before they even opened the barriers to let us to the entrance, then took 20 mins to get inside only to find the show didnt start until 7:30!!....next time it'll be Leeds or Sheffield arena.
l. a.
Went here to see specials on a Monday night really good venue easy to find lots of cheap parking round the back the staff were all very friendly and helpful food and drink available and outside smoking area everything was well organized will definitely visit the venue again
A. J.
Lots of parking at a reasonable rate Good Venue, easy signage to stalls. Security abundant
R. D.
Really good venue. Been to many concerts here. Down side is waiting outside in the cold until they open up.
D. H.
First time I've been here and was impressed. Very clean, staff are polite, friendly and the event was well organised.
P. G.
Went to see Sarah millican was in the top tier.just a bit to far away. I got a pint of larger n a bottle of water £8. Come on bonus get these prices down.overall a good night.
P. M.
Absolutely brilliant night out, only thing that let's this place down is the carpark and the queue to get in and out, the council wait until everyone is in the venue and then send the snipers out to slap a fine on anyone who hasn't paid or parked in a proper place, the fact it s absolutely pelting down with rain and you can't see the white lines (top deck) doesn't matter! The venue itself is really good, and the staff were really nice and friendly.
C. B.
A spacious modern purpose built venue in the heart of Hull City centre.
E. H.
A fantastic venue and parking close by. Enjoyed a Rock concert there. Drinks and snacks prices are really high though
D. P.
Have been to this arena a few times now to see things. Clean and friendly staff. Would of liked more leg room when sitting down, not much room to stretch out.
T. W.
Massive big place, clean & tidy, only downfall is the price of food/drink... omg you need a bloody bank loan
J. D.
New venue for Hull attracting big names away from Arena size venues (Olly Murs) . Seating a bit confusing and even stewards puzzled at times. Usual ridiculous bar prices, no surprise. Could do with better signage for some rows /tiers and toilets but overall good atmosphere and seating, just about comfortable enough!!
A. H.
Great Venue with great sound wherever you sit. Prices for drinks were extortionate. £6.70 for a pint of Moretti is far too much.
S. M.
Everything was A1, so easy. Great venue
o. o.
The place is good however I don't like the rule you can't take your own drinks in and have to pay over the top price for drinks and snack greed before need
J. C.
Decent venue, thought the seats and leg room are frankly to small.
k. b.
Absolutely brilliant place to go seating very comfortable good view
S. C.
This is a brilliant venue .. well organised .. Great staff and the acoustics are amazing. Very easy to get to in Hull City centre with lots of parking available.
S. D. P.
Fantastic venue for wheelchair users. Accessible and easy to get to from our hotel (Holiday Inn Express Hull City Centre) by pushing. Toilets are a good size and the balcony where we were seated was perfect for us. Friendly staff were very helpful and made it easy to find our seats.
G. W.
It is a lovely venue bur in my opinion it's too big ,
S. L.
Great venue right on my own door step, with names like Joe Lycett, The Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds coming here to Hull, why travel, it's a hard venue to beat.
N. H.
Great venue. Only thing that lets it down for me is the price of the refreshments. I refuse to buy them as it feels like I am getting robbed.
N. w.
First visit, which was a pleasure. Queuing to get in was quick and efficient. Staff very helpful in finding area, seats which where very comfortable and spacious.
C. R.
Went to see Michael kiwanuka absolutely incredible great venue only downside not much leg room on seats other than that amazing night
j. l.
Lovely place but seats are very uncomfortable I went to watch War of the worlds and by the end of the first performance my back and bottom was hurting and by the time it was finished I was in agony I'D like to know if for my next visit if there are any comfortable seats in the Bonus Arena .
R. L.
Went to see Bryan Adams loved this venue small but a great place and the staff were friendly
H. 0.
I went to a Comic-Con there and it was really good! And even though it was busy you could still move around due to the massive amount of space
L. B.
Good venue, all careless so fast service, seats a little tight for space but overall great.
b. s.
Paul Weller concert. Well organized venue and staff. Bar staff clearly inexperienced but friendly. Recommended.
J. C.
Excellent venue, good facilities (plenty of ladies toilets!!)
M. R.
Great sound . Good food and drink choices. Prices reasonable. Seating is very cramped. Felt like sardines in a tin.
C. C.
Bit basic compared to other local theatres but clean toilets which is always a bonus!
N. K.
Great venue, some seats are too high and too far away to see clearly.
Security was efficient yet swift.
Drinks are far too expensive and you cannot take your own in.
Be very careful when booking tickets as you may end up on a third party site and pay way over the odds.
A. P.
Brilliant venue been here lots of times plenty of parking easy to get to great acts
E.
Security is pretty tight, you aren't allowed anything that could be deemed unnecessary for example big bags, bottles of water etc... it's not a bad venue, lots of stairs but there are lifts. There is a bar upon entry and a further bar on level 2, drinks are expensive, (you can pay on card) seats are quite small and everyone has to get up when you want to leave/access your seat and it was quite warm but they have air conditioning.
K. B.
Our first time here. All staff were very friendly and helpful. A great venue.
D. s.
Great venue, just the right size, great friendly staff, always happy to help with a smile
K. R.
This is a really nice venue for gigs, easy to park and the traffic wasn't bad leaving.
i. h.
Enjoyed our night upper seats but hardy if you have trouble walking
D. W.
Saw Pet Shop Boys here. Very good. Excellent door staff. Would go again
c. d.
Well organized and clean
Food and drinks prices as expected in a venue like this
Staff are polite and professional
K. T.
Place is great, organisation first class, but bar prices will make your eyes water.
L. P.
Excellent venue. Prices for food and drinks are a little steep but then you would expect them to be.
Staff were very welcoming and helpful. However it was a little chaotic at the queuing and check points before going in but staff were still nice and polite. Parking is easy(once id found the link to pay using your phone) it's £3 for 24 hours which is fantastic.
Just be prepared for a slight diversion to drive for parking due to road closures but it is sign posted.
T.
Great venue, avoid the beers on draft, tasted old, get a bottle!!
C. G.
First time at the bonus Arena last night watching Vampire Rock. Grateful to have its own Arena in Hull and hope it will be fully used in the future would be nice to see some big names there ! Acoustics were good seats fairly comfortable although not very wide and no offence but if you are sat next to somebody quite large they spill over onto your seat ! The staff here are lovely and helpful and the amenities very good. Only gripe I have is that when they laid out the rows of seats our row was not bolted in and an accident almost occurred when we had to stand up to allow someone to pass and the chairs began to of topple over backwards which could have caused a nasty accident. Otherwise great night great show great company love the new arena
A. B.
Brilliant venue, well designed, the acoustics are amazing sound just bounces of the walls. Went to see Madness. Brilliant
N. T.
Great music venue, excellent sound viewing. Friendly staff, food and beverage stalls also excellent. Toilets clean. I hope to return soon, this coming Monday.
Thank you
Paul Carrick and band was wonderful. The concert performance made me thoughtful happy and even brought a tear near. And warmed up my heart.
S. A.
Great shows, plenty of cheap parking near by
C. B.
Great night watched Dirty dancing. Aloud to get up and really enjoyed the evening
D. w.
Saw pet shop boys here sat in row JJ level 3 and still not bad viewing really
J. L. (. R.
Parking easy in nearby multistorey. Food and drink pricey as normal for these venues. Toilets clean. Queues not too bad despite covid checks.
P. J.
The arena facilities, sound and lighting are excellent. There is plenty of parking on the doorstep. Security checks prior to entering were quickly done and there were plenty of staff to help people to find their seats. I went to see The Australian Pink Floyd Show, which was first class. My only grumble is that there was confusion over timing. We had tickets which gave a 6:30 start, when in fact that was the door opening time. We stood outside freezing for half an hour. Not sure who's to blame for that. All in all the Arena is well worth a visit.
M. H.
First visit, to see Riverdance.
A great venue, and staff very good at moving people through efficiently. Really good layout, and seating excellent.
After website instructions asking people to wear masks, surprisingly few people bothered when moving about, otherwise rating would have been higher.
A. W.
Could have been a bit better organised when letting us in, but overall a nice clean building.
T. H.
Went to see the meatloaf experience. It was excellent. Great atmosphere and audience participation. Well supervised and staffed. Food a little expensive but OK. Parking a problem. Multistory was full. Over all though. Would certainly revisit. Well done Bonus Arena, Hull. ✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️
L. M.
Great views from various seats I've tried recently. Stalls were quite tightly close together so not quite as spacious as the raised seating but the view was somewhat better so for me that outweighed the inconvenience of having a strangers arm on mine for the evening! Food and drink priced accordingly for the venue. Not particularly over priced. £10 will get you a large drink and a snack with a little change. Plenty of security staff all happy to help you. Thorough searches are taken out before entry so everything feels safe once inside. And most importantly, there's absolutely loads of ladies toilets so you won't be queuing hours to go!
H. E.
The show was brilliant. The arena has some issues. The seats are so close together and you feel crammed in. People in the middle of the row have to wait for everyone to stand up to get out. This can get distracting whilst watching a show. It was however very organised getting everyone in and the arena shows some fantastic acts.
M. K.
Always have a good time at the bonus arena and Bryan Adams was the best so far.
K. R.
Went with 2 brothers and a sister in law to watch Simple Minds great concert and a cracking venue
n. r.
Nice venue. Good sound system and screen . Easy parking. Could do with some decoration outside the hall.
N. L.
Great night, staff were friendly and bar service quick considering how busy it was
S. C.
Very good venue, easy to access and well organized although the website did insist on Covid passports and yet no one checked!
Drinks are expensive but hey, it's local and attracts decent artists so...
Great view practically from all seats and staff were approachable.
W. D.
Brilliant arena / venue plus a fantastic concourse for snacks and drinks etc 🍺🎶👍
T. R.
Great venue , not too big and not too small
Bryan Adams was the bomb!
J. D.
Well organised friendly staff will definitely return fantastic experience
J. S.
Great arena, friendly staff,
Had a meal in the restaurant, food was lovely, & staff were friendly & attentive
C. H.
Nice little Arena I've fallen out with big ones now. It's an an Arena wherever you are in there you can actually see the stage and artist's on stage.
P. D.
Another fantastic night at the Bonus Arena watching OMD👍
J. W.
Went to see Michael Bolton 😍 an amazing show. Organisation at arena was good. Service at bar was also good. Parking at side of arena, so only a short walk, but took a while to get out of car park after show. Will visit again 😁
N. A.
1st time seeing him but excellent performance by James Arthur. Would see him again. Well done bonus arena
J. B.
Great venue for concerts, food and drink probably costs less in The Ritz like, but otherwise really good.
C. J.
Went to see James Blunt here. Full security search, various items containing liquid removed from bags before entrance allowed.
l. m.
Great circus of horror show seen twice now and love it. Expected the venue to be bigger but would visit again.
S. C.
Brill venue, fantastic acoustics. Need to up the security and not rely on stewards to keep order but other than that what a fab place.
F. B.
Mega over priced for drinks . Rammed in like sardines with no elbow room but apart from that ok. Good views and sounds from stage.
B. W.
A wonderful experience when l went to see Michael Bolton with my daughter.
The show was amazing as was the food in the restaurant.
Fantastic service from Hannah at the booking office and Chloe in the Moondance restaurant.
Thank you both for outstanding customer service 👏
Y. U.
Went to Hull.Found Hull wanted to party. Deacon Blue were happy to provide the music.....Bonus Arena a good venue...Seats not great.Had a lighting guy in our eye line and slot of people popping out
R. S.
Great venue. Amazing atmosphere for the Micheal Bolton concert. He is truly a remarkable man
M. S.
Just been to see rick astley he was great good atmosphere. Only took 10min to get in to the venue typical arena prices 6quid a pint 🤪 but overall a very good place to watch live music.
G. M.
Great small venue with good view of stage from any seat
M. J. I.
1 lift broken, made getting to upper floors difficult. ( visually impaired)
L. H.
Great sound. Drink prices stupidly high and seats ridiculously close next to each other..... Sorry but sardines come to mind.
b. a. m.
The place is big and cold. The toilets are fine clean and big also. Seating is different for want is going on. So check before booking if you need a disable seat or wheelchair place. Get to it early because of all the queuing for bag checks. You are in them for some time if going to a sold out show and no cover if wet night!
G. B.
Fabulous venue ! Great performance from Micah Paris and the amazing Mick Hucknall and Simply Red.
R. S.
Great place. friendly staff. Went to see Frank Turner & was well organised event.
Wheelchair access was excellent
A. S.
Small enough so you can still get a good view of everything, even right at the top / back! Good sound quality too! My only complaint was it was bloody freezing!!!!! Air con was blowing out an arctic blast ❄❄❄ Photo was taken from top tier, 7 rows from the very back.
T. M.
Great location a smaller arena than some but perfect location and easy parking. Efficient and clean.
S. W.
Fabulous venue, not too big, not too small. Brilliant views, wherever you are seated.
G. B.
Security needs to improve as by the time we were cleared the supporting act had nearly finished. Staff friendly
A. B.
Skinnylite, razorlight and keiser chiefs. Al brilliant at our fabulous venue. Full house, great noise. Nice 1 Hull.
C. G.
Superb venue, complete view to the stage all round ,no obstacles in the way.
V. G.
This is a fantastic venue, went to see lighthouse family, absolutely brilliant. Drinks a bit over the top price wise but other than that a great night 👍👍👍👍
S. B.
Nice size. Good views from all around. Downside was waiting outside for over an hour due to wrong advertising
G. C.
Brilliant venue , lovely & clean , very helpful staff . Can't wait to go again .
G. P.
Nice arena, not over crowded and Tim peekes talk was so good and amazing, food prices always expensive but reasonable
D. G.
Great organisation but refreshments are very pricy
T. L. L.
Great safe venue for a gig, The Petshop Boys, brilliant.
P. G.
Enjoyable nights out. Lower seating is better. Higher up, expect a nosebleed! Very steep seating gallery.
D. D.
Good venue even way back view is good
R. S.
Went to see The Seniors Master Snooker had front row seats awesome but beer not cheap £12 for two pints but really don't go for the food Hot Dogs 2 =£13 absolute disgusting and forget burgers even worse.
M. H.
Bryan Adams concert.... standing, with room to move... Good night
J. S.
Good show and a good view to see the act
L. A.
Excellent venue, organised, clean. Very good seats, accoutisics
S. W.
Liked it but hard to find your seat, the numbering system is not very sensible.
P. J.
Well organised and modern facilities. Helpful and friendly staff. Plenty of parking close by.
N. H.
Very easy to get to, plenty parking at reasonable prices.
M. Y.
Great view, very comfy seat. A nice modern arena. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
E. G.
Nice helpfull staff. Organised clean. Out of this world. Tim Peaks was on stage !
D. T.
I wouldn't suggest eating here but it's a good place to stopover
R. B.
Poor seating very uncomfortable to close together stage not high enough so site lines very poor, safety announcements inaudible staff quite rude an unhelpfully.
M. W.
Comes with multi car park close to Hull night life. Venue is seated and standing hosting popular groups and special events.
Beer and food expensive outside smoking.
You will be search on entry by the great security team witch is hosted by showtec.
J. W.
Went to see Michael Bolton last week and really enjoyed it. Apart from the fact that the lady in front of us insisted on standing up and waving her arms around in the air. We had paid £50 for the tickets each but instead of seeing Michael Bolton we were watching her head. I think it should be made a policey that people remain seated throughout the show or at least until near the end.
L. K.
My Charlie, who won one of the many prizes given at the 2019 Lifestyle Awards! Well done to all of them, 81 groups winning out of over 1000 groups who completed a project this year.
Well organised event; little overkill on taking my water bottle at security but I guess this is the world we live in🙄
A great place for the event to be held, easy parking available right next to it as well.
D. H.
Superb venue staff a little rusty but very friendly. Brilliant meal in moondance. Question of sport show excellent. Parking at £3 for 24hr wow!!!. Looking forward for next event
S. G.
First time visit. security was good not to over the top and fast. The area staff were helpful and friendly. Very impressed with stage and layout even from the middle of the crowd you could still see everything. Will visit again when there another band on I want to see
J. S.
Great new venue for music concerts and events if all size. Wonderful staff. Easy access and parking. Super secure. Reasonably priced food and drinks.
a. d.
Brilliant night great venue polite and helpful team great security highly recommended this place
C. D.
Nice place but expensive. We were charged 2 different prices for the same thing so be careful
L. R.
Had a great time, lots of stairs if your not on ground or low levels but was still a great night
M. M.
Never been before but the seats were fantastic, even thought we were quite high up the view was absolutely great.
C. M.
Went to see Tim Peake. Very well organised, and convenient parking at Princes Quay.
I. W.
Been to my first concert at this venue. I must admit that we were very disappointed with the quality of the sound. The clarity of the vocals was really not good enough in this day and age, even the City Hall is better than that.
K. H.
Went to see the Meat Loaf Story.. Brilliant
F. M.
A much needed venue for Hull and wider area.
S. M.
Great venue. Easy access even with full capacity
M. S.
Brilliant place just the Vue from floor level isn't to good
C. B.
Great gig, bar prices ridiculous though £24 for 4 pints of Amstel
j. e.
Went to the area last night to see The Beach Boys. What a fantastic show had a great night
A. S.
Cracking venue, simply red were on fire as well.
S. M.
Watched War of the World's, truly fantastic show in a great venue
R. C.
Great venue with good acoustics and seating little bit on the chilly side inside on our visit but overall great venue
H. S.
Could do with more lift access for additional needs but otherwise great
S. H.
We loved the Bonus Arena, very clean and the staff very welcoming. The bar area is slightly expensive, which you can expect from that type of place, but overall a fantastic experience.
B. D.
Great venue for shows, saw War of the Worlds
A. P.
Absolutely well organised really enjoyed paloma faith
T. S.
Nice venue. Staff could be better.
F. “. S.
Both Bill Bailey and Rhod Gilbert were fab, really good - the only thing that lets it down is the price of the drink, its far too expensive when you've already paid premium prices for tickets
S. M.
Great venue, clean and tidy. It was raining on the night however it was well organised and we barely had to wait outside. Overall a fantastic time
W. T.
Brilliant little venue, not a bad view in the full place. Tickmaster didn't post my tickets and the box office sorted me out on the day, they couldn't do enough for me. Plenty of parking around the venue and was easy leaving with access to the motorway or city centre. Bierra Moretti and Amstel on tap with 1 or 2 Pinter's available
l. s.
Brilliant, well run arena. Lovely staff.
G. B.
Nice venue.parking for £3 next to the venue.be patient if you park on the upper floors
J. T.
Great night ,john Bishop was great fully enjoyed the experience will be going again
L. C. (.
We love bonus! We like the venue but you REALLY need to lower the price of beer. Its Hull not London. Calm down and let people have a good time.
P. W.
Hard Place to get to at the moment with roadworks etc. I like the venue. Will be back soon
S. B.
Went for graduation good bar helpful staff good aircon in main area as was boiling outside seats comfortable pictures not as nice as outside city Hall though
M. V.
Great space. Open floor. Great acoustics
S. C.
Excellent venue, efficient bar staff
L. G.
this is lovely arena to go to lovely staff and comfortable seats going here is a must for all ages
G. D.
Was sat just a few rows back from the stage, seats are so small and everyone seems to be a plus size nowadays not much room. Budget seating.
R. K.
Brilliant music venue. Standing and seating available. We'll run with bar, food and clean toilets. Saw Frank Turner and he was awesome.
K. S.
Status quo don't need to say much more 🤘 really good venue could see the stage from all sides 👍 xx
A. D.
Hull is trying to attract artists from all over and I'm liking the music and events that I have seen so far may it continue
S. H.
First time attending a gig there. It's a good size, with decent acoustics and good sight lines.
Easy to get in and out.
K. T.
Trixie Mattel show , was good ,staff helpful ,easy parking
A. R.
Large comfortable venue. Acoustics were good. Easy to access although signage for seating is very confusing.
V. B.
The new Bonus Arena in Hull is fabulous and well worth a visit. We have had many amazing events, recently Rick Astley, Boy George and Boyzone plus many other varied types of entertainment. Check out the website. Easy parking in two multi story car parks. Many eating facilties in walking distance to the Arena. Food and drink also available at the venue. The Arena also has wheelchair access.
S. H.
Wow just seen Meat Loaf. Fantastic.
R. E.
Great venue, well planned out with fantastic acoustics, docking one star due to price of concessions.
S. W.
Great arena, good location, plenty of parking not far from bus and train station, usual food on concourse nothing special though would eat at any of the nearby pubs or restaurants.
M. C.
Good show with diversity but seating could be better
G. E.
Great venue, saw the legend that is Blondie
A. W.
Came here for the league of gentlemen. Had a great night. The temperature was however unbearably hot and the way finding is really bad but we managed to find our seats.
I. T.
Excellent evening watching Rik Astley. Well organised arena, seats comfy and plenty of leg room. Drinks ain't cheap.
J. C.
Great venue. Well organised easy to get in and out even though it was full
C. P.
Organisation of entry and exit much improved. Good customer service.
Only bad point was cash free bar. Everyone doesn't want to pay by card. Didnt spoil enjoyment of night though
S. B.
Amazing place for stand up comedy
M. B.
Foals gig
C. W.
Brilliant show. Great. Performance from from everyone. X
L. B.
The seniors snooker was great really enjoyed it. The venue was nice. With the direct access from princess quay been a really good idea
S. R.
First visit, very impressed, well organised, friendly staff and plenty of toilets too.
Drinks could possibly be a little cheaper, but standard for most venues.
E. B.
Went to see the Specials. A fantastic gig and great atmosphere. The staff were helpful and, apart from the beer being expensive, we had a brilliant time xx
R. f.
Really good place went to see a question of sport lap of honour tour fab evening my only criticism is the seating arrangements aren't very well signposted outside the arena a little confusing other than that had a great night.
D. W.
Great venue and sound, only wish you had screens at both sides of the stage so we can see the artist clearly.
S. S.
Great venue all staff very friendly& helpful,Got there large queue but got us through very quickly & the security was great also,Great night Monday 25th October to see Paul Heaton
J. J.
Seen a few comedy acts here, good venue for hull
s. b.
Went to UK championships snooker seniors final and was good venue for it.
L. T.
Saw Bianca del Rio tonight and it was amazing! The arena is super clean, and the staff are helpful. Had a great night.
A. C.
Great venue, centrally located in Hull City centre just a 5 minute walk from both the train and bus stations
A. S.
First time here to see Level 42.
Totally disappointed it was never advertised from here but nevertheless its a fantastic venue.
Brilliant acoustic sounds and quite deceiving inside.
D. D.
Excellent venue but refreshments pricey.
A. W.
James Arthur was amazing. A great venue
J. H.
First time at this venue.staff friendly, place clean, huge amount of toilets. Saw Rick Astley amazing night ,will be going again.
G. S.
First time at the Bonus Arena, thoroughly enjoyable experience.
M.
Great venue, not so big that your watching ants or so small that you share coats with the person next to you.
Good PA system and nice sound.
B. B.
Love this place carpark just round corner all staff very helpful
S. E.
Great venue. Could do with rain cover/canopy over queuing area though outside. Brian Cox excellent.
c. y.
Fantastic place hope to visit again
G. H.
Just been to see ant Middleton at the arena. Well organised entry .pleasant staff . Clean venue. Well organised show
L. B.
Love this place! Friendly and polite staff. Great wheelchair access and fantastic view of stage.
m. o.
just been to see Roy orbison and buddy holly dream holographic concert and it was amazing enormous stage very spacious brilliant venue worth a visit
H. H.
Drinks are over priced but over all great experience
R. P.
Saw bring me the horizon here and the stage was absolutely amazing! Best gig I have ever been too!
c. s.
Great venue but very very hot
V. A.
Great view for John Bishop...
Bonus very organised
L. W.
A great place to go and see a show / act. Not too big so you are never that far away from the stage and good views to be had all around. My only minor quibble would be the price of drinks, however it is not out of kilter for these types of places where they have a captive audience. Overall a really good place and would recommend.
k. o.
The staff are always amazing pleasant, polite and very accmodating
L. N.
Came here tonight to see James blunt in concert, it has 3 floors which was all wheelchair friendly, there was plenty of stewards to go through security and help you find your seat . There was a bar which we found it a bit over priced. Inside was very comfortable and the concert was brought to life and was a great atmosphere . It is nice to see a venue in hull which can bring big names after not having one for many years
A. B.
Great venue to see a show in an easily accessible location. Lots of amenities and reasonably priced food & drink.
M. J.
Went to see Madness here. Easy to find and no problem with parking. Venue was clean and modern.
C. S.
Went to a silent disco here, never been to one before and absolutely loved it. Could have done with some tables dotted around to put drinks on though as it was just a huge dancefloor. Had to put our drinks on the floor beside the railings and our coats hung over the railings. Drinks prices very steep also. Event it's self was great though
E. M.
Uncomfortable temporary seating and overprices poor quality food and drink. Show was amazing and toilets very clean
D. W.
Went to see texas last night great place for gig beer overpriced.
D. J.
Went to see the Motown story. Perfect in all ways
R. S.
This was my first visit to Bonus Arena. Loved it. We sat in the raised area and felt we had an excellent view.
A. D.
Well organised. Slightly disappointing that security measures were over the top.
I. M.
The venue itself is good acoustically and in terms of seeing the stage. However, the seating is atrocious. There is nowhere near enough space for a fully grown adult to sit comfortably in the temporary stalls seating. If you are larger than an average sized 10 year old, you should think very carefully about attending a seated event that lasts for more than half an hour. Also queues for the men's toilets were enormous, suggesting a substantial under provision. It's a shame because the quality of the venue is otherwise good.
G. C.
Great show good staff good place to go
S. W.
Really had a fantastic night at the bonus arena watching Ben the Michael Jackson tribute band.
R. J.
Wow, this venue is amazing. Great views from seating area and the acoustics are truly exceptional
A. L.
Not a bad venue, easy to get to for locals and visitors alike as its city central.
Acoustics were not an issue just wish it was a higher capacity for the size of Hull and surrounding area I don't see how it will compete with other arenas for very big artists
Drinks are expensive as expected but access to pubs and hotels is a great location unlike alot of other similar arenas I've been to.
There is smoking area which is fantastic to see especially in somewhere so new
C. R.
Sarah Milligan on her Bobby Dazzler tour. Brilliant!
D. S.
Good size, seating was comfortable but a tad cramped, no armrest/drink holder which was odd.
Temperature control was excellent.
Getting in was easy enough, brief security screening then well posted directions.
Standard price hike for food n drinks but still affordable considering.
M. B.
Good venue to see the show that we went to, nice & clean & good to see security checking everyone who went in. Only downside was seating numbers. Everyone needed to use their phone torches to see the row & seat numbers that are very poorly marked on the floor. When I eventually found my seat someone was sitting in it as they could not find their allocated seat due to markings.
P. W.
This is a very modern and impressive venue. We went to see Jack Saveretti last week, and it was amazing. I am not sure there is a bad seat in the house! If you are on the top level (3) then you need to get a drink on the second level as there is no bar or toilets on the top level. There is a massive carpark next to the venue which has 24hour parking for £3! Easy to get to off the main road and close to the centre of town.
E. N.
Mrs Brown's boys was fantastic ...
A. G. U.
Very well organised staff are efficient but we were not encountered to wear face masks.
A. -. H.
Very wheelchair accessible, though the accessible seating areas are not very good.
M. W.
Great night at War of the World's... Staff friendly
R. S.
Small intimate venue holding about 3000 people, great views of the stage from all seats good food drink and merchandise facilities
M. S.
A brilliant night 21st January 2020 the Kaiser Chiefs were incredible as were the other 2 bands. We were sat up in the God's and my view a tad restricted by a rather tall gentleman. The staff were very helpful and polite too. Great venue, well be back soon 😉
A.
An amazing place to see some great acts. They have the sound systems spot on and it's open and clear to see the stage from any part of the arena. The bars are well equipped and won't bust the bank (it's not about getting hammered). The facilities are spot on and well suited for a venue of this size. I genuinely can't wait for my next visit.
R. B.
Not a fan of large arenas so review starts with a negative mindset. Went to see the Beach Boys who were excellent. The sound quality was not unfortunately. To my ears the louder sections were distorted, making it impossible enjoy. Have to say the Arena staff are very good. Cheerful, patient and helpful.
K. S.
The venue was easy to find but needs a lot more signage inside for out-of-town guests, I ended up going upstairs as the main sign only said bar.
The seats look very temporary, it just looks like they put out a stage and viewing platform in a warehouse, it looks very rushed / unplanned. I feel like they could have at least put the row numbers on the floor.
M. T.
Great place to go to a gig. Modern and facilities very clean. The 3 for £12 deal at the bottle bar is good value. Bar staff could have been much more efficient however. There were 2 staff serving each customer 1 working the till 1 preparing drinks. Would have been much faster service if they put extra tills in and staff worked individually. Also men's toilets need more urinals as the queue for toilets was longer than queue for the bar.
A. W.
Went to see the dream boys, what a good night, the staff in the arena were so polite and helpful, the Barmaids were obviously not 'barmaids' as they were banterless and quite miserable but. This did not spoil a good night out. I would definitely check out the bonus arena for other gigs, I usually go to York but would certainly check this out too. X
V. S.
my first time there to see offspring and enjoyed every second.will deffo go again.5star
R. L.
Great time roomy And easy access to facilities.

Smaller than most cities but a great venue none the less. Sound was good (Madness!) and the stage a decent size despite the smaller arena.
HOWEVER:
Loses one star due to the staff keeping us all waiting outside in the rain while they stood around and had a chat for 30 minutes, starting at us all through the window.

Steve Steinmann meatloaf, brilliant show, great fun, great atmosphere, loved every part of it, the arena was well fitting for the occasion,

With a packed Arena we enjoyed the incredible Riverdance, caught the bus to and from home - the Arena in a perfect position in the centre of Hull.

Paul Heaton concert was excellent. First time i had been to the bonus arena, all the staff were very helpful.

Great music venue. No issues getting or getting served at the bar.

Seating in the stalls is poor, very little room and no comfort, if comparing to seating in the circles. Modern venue, bars etc. are not too bad for queuing. Could have found an alternative design for security when entering the arena - security is all outside, regardless of weather.

Went to see Deacon Blue, very organised pleasant staff on the door and on the bar, brilliant night

Big area not very warm

We were in the flat stalls, the seating was quite tight considering we're slim. The music played before the concert and during the interval was totally inappropriate and dirge like. The KD Lang concert was brilliant

Reasonably sized venue but very uncomfortable seating. I would not use again for this reason...

Really nice venue. The lighting and sound was good but i wasn't watching a professional act so couldn't say with certainty. Staff on the drinks counter were very slow and there weren't many people there!! Maybe these were volunteers and not the usual staff? It wouldn't stop me from going again though.

I wasn't impressed with the fact that we were expected to remain seated at a rock concert. Even though there is a seating plan showing standing. There was a woman working on the small bar at the side of the arena (not the bar at the front)who was down right rude!! And you're not allowed to keep the lid for your bottle of water.

Show was fantastic
Seats are tiny and uncomfortable

Great benue to see your favourite artists at just 3,500 capacity it's a much more intimate gig than your larger venues!

I've been to this new venue a few times since it opened and I love it each time. The staff are always so Friendly. The venue is an amazing place. Hull has waited a lifetime for somewhere like this on their doorstep, and to have fabulous acts turning off the motorway and heading this way is absolutely great

Great venue.
A special heartfelt thank you to the usher working the right hand side of level 3(looking from stage )
As my elderly mother could not get up the stairs to seat she ran down to the box office and back up to us to get seats reassigned to ground floor.
Thank you so much.

Great Venue and Sound. Been on two occasions standing (Jack White) and seated (Madness). A lot of arenas can seem sterile if your a long way from the stage. Atmosphere is really good here both seated and standing. Need some bigger bands and artists. £5 a pint though has cost this venue a fifth star.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The arena was clean and the event I went to see was amazing!

Staff great, was a great night

Great arena. Was able to get relatively close to the stage so felt way more intimate than other arenas I've been to!
