A Lovely historic building in stunning grounds, ideal for a wedding venue. Beautiful interior with excellent entrance, magnificent staircase and absolutely striking chandelier. An insight to how the " other half " lived. Very friendly and attentive staff. Delicious Food served quickly and orchestrated perfectly by the estates manager and warnings of " hot plates" when necessary. Staff eager to help and always willing to keep your glasses topped up. It all added to a totally enjoyable day. I would definitely recommend The Mansion as a venue. Well done to the staff at The Mansion.

Went here for a large, staff event. Great venue, lots of smaller rooms with a couple of bigger rooms as well. Good food served. Very friendly and sociable staff that went above and beyond what I'd expect. Access to the park makes this a perfect venue for the summer. Stairs to get upstairs, not sure how accessible the upper floors are otherwise. Cool chandelier!

Lovely setting and very pleasant, attentive staff. However, it was so slow as to spoil the service. Food was adequate but nothing spectacular for the price. I'd go again and hope for a better experience next time round. It really is in a great spot.

Went for sunday lunch in the garden café. We had roast beef with all the trimmings. It was well cooked and presented. It was very tasty and had a glass of wine to compliment it. The coffee is also superb here as is the service.

Have been visiting since it opened as The Mansion. This the only disappointing visit. No joy or pleasure in the food. Big shame as we took a friend for her 93rd birthday. Service was pleasant but slow as they dropped one dish and by the time the food came back it was lukewarm. The room itself remains lovely.

We popped in for a light lunch a few weeks ago with my Mum. Food and drinks were expensive but justified by excellent quality. The service, however, was truly exceptional with the management and staff going above and beyond the call of duty when Mum became slightly poorly (nothing to do with the food! she'd only come out of hospital the previous day and was still a little under the weather!) - they opened the service door up and allowed me to bring the car down so she wouldn't have to walk too far and were very solicitous of her health. Haven't tried the evening menu yet but I'm sure it'll be very good!

Something special about this place. Although I do have to state that it's not 100% disabled friendly. Yes it has a ramp, but it is totally inadequate. It's far far to steep. My electric mobility chair felt as if it was going to topple over on the way in. Tried it again on the way out and it grounded.. Luckily I am still able to walk a few steps so my husband was able to sort the situation. It just needs the ramp to be double in length. The food was delightful The service was better than good Will I come back, yes, and hopefully the ramp will have been sorted, thus making this wonderful place accessible to the disabled.

Absolutely wonderful setting the Mansion house is a historic building with outside seating very upscale restaurant/cafe with silver service very good menu from a full meal to light bites .Good selection of teas and coffees. Yes its on the expensive side but a real treat every so often as its not everyone's pocket .

My brother got married here September 2017 The place it self is beautiful but unfortunately the staff members who was serving the food was extremely rude to aer guests especially this mix raced women who seem like she just didn't want to be serving the guests. Booked and paid deposit over the phone for afternoon tea for 3 people but on arrival was told afternoon tea can only be served in multiples of 2! So one of us had to choose from the cream tea meu but the choices were all the same as on the afternoon tea menu!. I queried why they couldn't just serve enough for 3 people as they pride themselves on making everything fresh but was told 'it doesn't work like that'. I didnt receive an apology for not being told this when I clearly booked and reserved afternoon tea for 3 people and the waitress, although not exactly rude, was quite indifferent to the whole thing. I wouldn't go here again because of that and also the food was nothing to rave about either to be honest. Also only 1 toilet for the whole garden room.

Been here twice. Visited on both occasions when it was Bonfire night. Food very good. I got a security pass for my car, as the big bonfire in the grounds get very busy with thousands of people from Leeds. With the pass you take your car past the security guards, and park at the mansion house. You get a great view from the paved area outside the mansion house of the firework display.

Re our nurrery trip, we only used the large room to store our bags in while we visited Tropical World so I can't really comment on the cafe but from what I saw it looked very civilised. People were sat at small tables out doors enjoying the sun, I made a mental note to return when I'm not working.

Located with a lovely view overlooking Roundhay Park and the lake. Picture perfect location for a Northern Suburb of Leeds that's easy to visit plus free parking nearby. It's a stunning well maintained character building. A quaint and cosy place serving afternoon tea etc. Inside and outside seating. Friendly staff too. They also have private function rooms perfect for any family celebration, birthday, major wedding anniversary , big birthday etc.

Very elegant wedding venue, with a grand staircase and plenty of natural light for photos upstairs in the reception room. The staff are friendly and efficient; their service for wedding receptions helps make the occasion really enjoyable. If you are planning a wedding there though please plan some time so you can get photos outdoors too, down by the lake or near the venue inside Roundhay Park, if the weather permits. This wonderful old house has seen many changes. Going from the actual house of the estate owners to visitors center/pub/restaurant, events center for hire. So we'll loved and used was it the council decided of course shut it down. Then Leeds city council decided they were going to have it as council offices. This did not go down well with the residents of Leeds. So the council backed down and reopened part of it as it once was, but I'm sure they also have some offices on the 2 level So if you're in Roundhay park give it a visit, use the place before the council decided to turn it all into offices again

Hidden gem of a lunch destination. Decent selection of wines too. In the event of a zombie apocalypse, this building has a lot going for it... Somewhat isolated, nearby access to fresh water, plenty of open land around the mansion for good lines of sight etc. But it is alarmingly close to a city of over 1 million people... I'd suggest getting further away from civilisation when zombies do eventually rise up. Or, yunno, Brexit happens.
