Fairytale saved me just 12 days before my wedding day. In the wedding dress world and covid time, 12 days is a very short time. I tried a few dresses and styles but it was Ellie who picked a most beautiful sample sale Rosa Clara, it was at a very good price too. She has a lot of experience, skills and plenty of patience. We had a couple of issues with the alteration but everything was perfectly fixed prior and post wedding day. Thank you Ellie for a great experience and for your help.

I have nothing but praise for the wonderful team at Fairytale London. I was looking for a maid of honour dress. The boutique owner and her assistant went over and above board with ensuring we were comfortable and happy. We had a wide variety of colours and styles to choose from. They were attentive, kind and helpful. They made a wide and detailed search to obtain the correct colour, size and fabric. We didn't purchase the dress in the end but we didn't feel like we were wasting their time. We were made to feel important and special. Thank you for your time, answering all our questions, the detailed search for the dress and keeping the boutique open after hours. We changed our minds but this did not result in a change of attitude towards us. The variety of dresses for the entire bridal team including accessories is outstanding. Thank you Fairytale London.

Finding Lulu was the best thing to happen to my wedding dress! I moved from New York to London two months before my wedding and it still needed finishing touches- Lulu went above and beyond to ensure my dress was the perfect fit and comfortable on my wedding day. She added a hoop to give my legs room to breathe and a corset to have the dress not pull on my back and shoulders. Not to mention fixing minor issues that hadn’t been properly sorted by the first seamstress. I loved wearing my dress and I appreciate how confident Lulu helped me feel in it.

Finding a bridal store was a bit of a challenge for me as I didn't like many of the options stocked in stores which advertised "plus size", but would never fit into the standard size 12 samples so regularly seen elsewhere. From the moment I made my first enquiry with Fairytale London Lulu put me at ease, taking time (before I even made an appointment) to understand my concerns and preferences and to explain how I could still try different dresses even if they didn't quite fit. It helped so much to gauge my expectations for the day. When I went in, Lulu made sure that I was comfortable and never lost (too much!) self-esteem. Ellie was brilliant at understanding my not-very-helpful feedback, finding the dress that I ultimately felt was "me" and supporting my unconventional decisions when I tried to explain them to more traditional members of my wedding party! There's just one point I think future customers should be aware of, otherwise it can come as a surprise: this store does ask for payment up-front rather than in instalments through the process, so make sure that you can manage your cashflow and let them know any and all alterations you'd be interested in making from the get-go.

Absolutely a magical place! Very easy to make an appointment and the team is very thorough with responding and replying to messages. My dress consultant, Rola was an absolute thrill and truly made my experience so much better! I needed my dress within a very short notice, Rola was accommodating and reassured me that the dress will be ready on time. She also made finding my dream dress easy, fun, and special.She listened to what I wanted and also brought some styles for me to try on that I was SURE I didn’t want. Bridal shop is amazing, provides a first class experience when looking for a dress as they try to understand your requirements and then help you find the perfect dress. The ladies are lovely, the seamstress gave me great advice during the fittings and worked quickly to ensure the dress was ready. Overall really happy with my dress and the entire process was stress free which was amazing considering this was during Covid. There was also loads of different styles but in particular they had a number of dresses with long sleeves!

I bought my wedding dress last summer for my beach wedding in Italy in September. I have chosen a dress designed by Maggie Sottero (3rd picture) as I loved the lace but it was not my style. Lulu (the owner), through a great work of alternations made the dress I always wanted and dreamed of. I have received it a bit last minute before my flight but I loved it. Thank you Lulu for the amazing dress, I have received so many compliments and the dress was also very comfortable throughout the day, I did not want to take it off :).

I purchased my 2 wedding dresses and all the alterations on February 2020 when the Covid breakthrough was starting. They kept my wedding dresses all the way to August 2021 (my wedding was on September) and I was so thankful as the dresses were ready to pick up since 2 weeks after I ordered and they kept it for me and done other alterations to the dress after Covid19 as my body changed during the period. I was in desperate need for some last minute alterations to an outfit I had to find for a last minute major event... The pressure was on - until I found Fairytale. Lulu the owner, literally turned into my Fairy Godmother. She organised for me to come in there and then (even though she had other major appointments), fitted my outfit, provided shoes and jewellery and even a stunning beaded face mask to complete my look. Good dresses, experienced sales assistant with a good eye who was able to select options then whittle me down to a great dress pleasantly and efficiently. Alterations and extra charges seem to make up a sizeable proportion of their business. The customer service / consumer rights around that aspect is sketchy - just be aware / ready for that.

The store has loads of nice dresses to chose from but I found mine online and walked in hoping they carried it. It needed a fair bit of altering which included multiple fittings to make sure its just right. This has been done really nicely, and the owner has been very professional and polite throughout. I've now had to reschedule the wedding twice because of COVID and have the dress at home now but the owner has even followed up with me to make sure the dress will fit perfect on the wedding day! Very appreciated!

I am so so shocked to see any negative reviews and comments suggesting reviews are written by staff! Which luckily are only a few because I had the most amazing experience at this store! I couldn’t have asked to have found a better shop to get my wedding dress from! I live in Essex and the 2 hour journey was not even an issue as the staff and the seamstress were 10/10. I had so much fun from start to finish, my first appointment was so exciting. The staff made me feel incredibly welcomed and comfortable, I tried on many different dresses then found the one! From then on the seamstress was outstanding, no amount of work was too much. I had straps removed and a corset added and she made me feel like it was no issue and the work was stunning! Not a single complaint. She is a very talented woman and a complete perfectionist! I had my last fitting on Friday and I can honestly say I am very sad I won’t be going back! They were all so friendly and helpful, I can’t thank you all enough!! Counting down the days until my wedding were I can wear my beautifully stunning dress Thank you so so so much fairytale team!

I bought my dress from another store but they didnt have a tailor for me to do a fitting. I was struggling to find a tailor to trust with your wedding dress but is also a woman since I’m a Hijabi and was loosing hope. My friend told me about a wedding dress shop that will do the impossible for their brides and I booked an appointment with them. First of all, to find out that they were a store that sold bridal dresses and accessories as well as did the alterations in store all in one place! My first meeting held no obligation for me to go with them, I was able to speak to them about where I wanted the alterations without being looked at funny or told its not possible. I was comfortable with the staff who were so lovely, they completely transformed my dress, adding bust support and boning as well as sleeves making my dress my dream dress!! They were fast and reliable and would recommend to any bride. When you’re a bride planning your wedding its hard not to stress about every detail, so to have one thing run smoothly was just a godsend. Thank you Fairytale!

Recently bought three bridesmaid dresses from Fairytale London and had a great experience. They have a large choice of styles and colours in store which helps in terms of seeing how the final dress will actually look (as it can be hard to see from the swatches sometimes). The ladies there are very helpful and responsive. I also had the alterations done through them and they were all very good. The only thing is you have to pay for weekend fitting appointments (£35) to try on the dresses once they arrive which seems a bit excessive if you’re already spending hundreds on dresses.

I am so surprised by some of the reviews for this store! I had a lovely time shopping here, the girls were all friendly and very helpful. I went in for a first appointment in June and needed a dress urgently for my wedding on the 27th of July after being let down by another store. Not only did I find an amazing dress that was better than the original one I chose months ago, they managed to alter it and have it ready for my wedding. My first visit to Fairytale London was not positive, I was seen by Rula who only allowed me to try on four dresses and I felt a lot of pressure to buy one of them. On my second visit, I worked with May and Fatima, both were extremely helpful, patient and when I asked for opinions extremely honest. I got married three weeks ago and everyone commented on how awesome my dress was. Both May and Fatima were great to work with, I was happy with the fittings and generally got a great service. My advice to any bride shopping here is to ask to see and work with either May or Fatima! They are great.

I am so glad I stepped in this shop that I found by coincidence! I explained the owner what I wanted and the first dress she pulled out from the racks has been the One! Incredible how this lady understood straight away what I was looking for. Her sweetness and professionality made everything special and the price of the dress was amazing! Furthermore the dress needed alterations as it was too big for me and what she did was amazing! After all her work the dress looked sewed on me. Everyone loved it! Me and my mum went in to find a bridesmaid dress for me for her wedding in June, and we found the most perfect dress in the sale which was around 3/4 sizes too big! It was the only one and it was perfect in colour and style (when tied in) and Mai (one of the lovely girls who works there) sorted us out, put some cups into the dress and made it the perfect size for me! We were so happy with and it surprised that we didn’t have to go back again, as it fit perfectly the first time she had done it! What can I say? A perfect experience. Staff were more than helpful, kind and they really got me out of a bind. A certain bridal shop in hounslow, on the Hanworth Road at the back of the treaty centre really let me down and two weeks before my wedding my wedding dress still had not arrived. I contacted Fairytale London panicking and their staff were not only understanding but also went above and beyond to get me a dress ordered and fitted within a week, which is no easy task due to my size. Hi, I got married in May last year and engaged just a few months before that, so as you can imagine I was rushing and stressing towards the end to find my perfect dream dress Given that I'm quite petite, I found it extremely hard and at the end stressful that I still could not find my dream dress as everything I tried on was size 12 or above. Anyway, because of this I ended up looking and trying dresses at least 7 shops and tried on over 20 dresses and still had not found the dress I wanted. By nature I'm quite particular and was looking for a dress that was special in a sense that you don't see most brides wearing, I also wanted the dress to match my built, my character as well as being a traditional one. After so many research online and trials at bridal shops, I ended up picking a few dresses from Rosa Clara collection, and it looked that the closest shop to me which had a few dresses from the collection was Fairytale London. So I called the shop and booked my first appointment/trial with them. I was told that a booking fee of £35 will be asked to pay on the day, but if chosen to buy a dress from the shop it will be deducted from the price, otherwise it would not be refundable. So they were very clear with me from the start. The day of my appointment came and so did my trial in trying several dresses, they did not have all the designs I had chosen of Rosa Clara but I still tried the other two I had selected in my mind and on top of that I chose another 2 dresses from other designers, and I AM so happy I did so. The shop assistant was very helpful and honest with her opinion. At the end, I ended up with having to choose between two dresses, one from the Rosa Clara collection and the other from Ellis Bridal. I asked if I could come for a second trial where I can bring my brother to help me decide which of the two dresses I could go for, and they told me that would be no problem. And so it happened, the next time I was there it was myself and my brother + Bella (his dog, she stayed in her bag). Ellie, the assistant helped me try both the dresses for my brother to see, and at the end my brother told me his choice - which luckily coincided with my first choice, so happy bunny After that, I paid half of the deposit for the dress and the second half I was asked to pay it once the dress was ordered and had arrived in the store which was a few months later - note that I was very close to the 6 months window for when you have to order a dress. Anyway, the dress for the smallest size arrived in the shop and I went to try it on - I was very happy to see that I still loved the dress on me and it was just as perfect and dreamy as I remembered. But given that I am so petite, the dress still needed a small alteration around my waist and chest, so I was explained there and then what packages they offered...1- the one off fee for alteration, or 2- the cover fee which included any alterations and for many times as I wanted. Needless to say, I went for the safer option so chose the second and very happy to have done so. They did a great work and the dress stayed just perfect on me. Rula herself, very kindly assisted in shorting the length of my dress and fixing my waist and bust. She carefully listened to my requirements and fulfilled them with no problem. To this day, I will always be very grateful to her and her work on the dress as it really was exactly as I wanted She also helped me with the choice of the veil (as I had yet to find one), I was shown 3 types of veil, but loved one in particular and she ordered that for me to pick up on the day that I was going to collect my dress. To sum up, I had a great experience at Fairytale London shop and I got a great assistance throughout my visits so cannot add any complaint, on the contrary only good words :-) I had a fabulous time at our wedding, every single person loved my dress and the veil and to this day I still get asked the questions, where have I bought them from? I got married in April 2018, and Fairytale London found me the most exquisite dress which was tailored to perfection through 5/6 fittings in the space of the month which is unheard of - I visited a number of other bridal shops across London before finding Fairytale London and they literally laughed in my face when I told them my wedding was two months away as the timescale was so tight, saying it was virtually impossible to order and tailor a dress in time. They also quoted me some absurd prices for very average, in some cases very poor quality dresses. Fairytale London's mastermind Rula was hospitable, a joy to visit, and understands detailing and fittings better than anyone I came across throughout this process. I'm surprised by the negative reviews all over the Internet for this shop. I went here for my first ever session trying on wedding dresses and had booked and paid for the appointment before I'd read all the negativity, and so went worried that I was in for a bad experience. I really wanted to try Rosa Clara on and as this shop was local it seemed ideal for me. I'd been told on the phone about the £35 fee and although I don't necessarily agree with it, they're not the only shop I've come across that charges on weekends. I went in with zero idea of what I wanted and was served by May. She was lovely, very patient and honest in her advice and opinions. I tried three Rosa Clara gowns which were all beautiful, one more so than the others, but also some other designers and ended up torn between two dresses which I tried on three times each. May wrote them down for me with pricing information and also the alteration pricing. She wasn't pushy and the whole experience was pleasant. She allowed my friends and I time and space to discuss the dresses. I'd been nervous about the whole thing as I'm not a good shopper but she put me at ease. I still have a few appointments so I'm not yet sure if I will buy from Fairytale, so perhaps the experience will change - but first impressions were certainly positive. A note on alterations - my friend pointed out to me that the alterations are done by Golden Stitch, not by Fairytale (says it in the window in huge letters). She had a bridesmaids dress altered in Golden Stitch previously (unrelated to Fairytale) and had a terrible experience with the alterations as they messed up and made the dress too small across her ribcage, so I do wonder if some of the problems with alterations are the fault of the tailor there and not the fault of Fairytale themselves. Alterations could easily be done elsewhere and I'll probably consider that myself. That doesn't mean I wouldn't buy the dress from Fairytale however.

All I can say is A M A Z I N G experience! I found my dream dress at Fairytale 3 months before my wedding. I had several fittings as there were a lot of alterations to be made. Rola went out of her way to make sure my dress was designed perfectly. I wear a headscarf so she handmade the head piece with the same material as the dress. The final look was stunning! An outlet for Dessy dresses. I wanted a dress to attend a family wedding with a church service continuing on to dinner and dancing. I chose my dress off their website plus a fabric sample and then went to Fairytale to check out the sizing and materials before ordering. They didn’t have that design in stock, but I tried a wide range of dresses and then had the confidence to order it. I paid for this appointment which was deducted from my order. I also ordered an extra metre of the dress material which was made into a bolero. They adjusted the dress so it fitted perfectly. The Bolero was well cut. The fitter had a good “eye” for a shape that would flatter and improved the dress. The work was well done (I have had a lot of things made for me in the past, so I pay attention to the detail). The machine work was very well done. It was quite an expensive and slow process, but on time, and the result was very pleasing. I trusted the fitter to produce it as discussed and agreed. I received so many compliments. I am very pleased with the whole outfit. They also took up the hem of my daighter’s bridesmaid’s Ghost dress and did a very neat job.

I came to this shop with only 2 months left for my wedding so as you can imagine I was after a dress really quickly! After picking out my dress with Mai (really friendly, and an asset to your shop!) I was happy. I had a date planned for when it will be ready however I had a call saying it will take a little bit longer and that made me really upset as I had imagined nothing had been done to it! The shop owner received me, very friendly and helpful, I asked her to cover the shopfront window because of passer-bys looking in and she concealed it with another mirror as much as she was able to, that was very considerate of her, she made me feel extremely comfortable. I tried on about 10 different dresses, plus a selection of veils, tiaras and accessories, there is so much choice, I felt spoiled! I had visited about 8 other shops, but my experience at Fairytale London was most impressive, there is just no comparison. I didn't buy any of the 10 dresses that I tried on but the shop owner who assisted me was very patient and did not mind at all. I even went back for other advice and accessories and they were very helpful. I love this shop and I recommend all brides to visit Fairytale London.

Dear Justyna Kuminska We are sorry that you weren't satisfied with your second visit with us, as your first visit for your bridal alterations was a success. You came to us with an evening dress bought online from a unknown Chinese website. Bare in mind the evening dress was extremely faulty already which made some of the labour extremely difficult as we tried to fix it, even though these faults weren't done by us.The alterations cost 120 pounds because of the labour, the nature of the alterations needed and the amount faults the dress was in already (levelling the different lengths of the hem, the left side was shorter than the right, restyling the body of the dress because you couldn't get into it properly, replacing the zip with a longer zip, adding bones, taking in the dress from the sides and over the busts and restitching the embroidery on the dress.) When you came back to the store and tried your dress on you said you were happy with it despite being asked if you would like any further changes as you mentioned it was a little big and you declined and left happy. Once again very sorry you were not satisfied with the price of the alterations, however we did all about what needed to be done and the cost of the labour before hand and you agreed. if you need any assistance in the future please don't hesitate to contact us. I highly recommend fairytale london to any bride to be I was reluctant to see Rula due to many reviews but hand on heart she is very professional and she knew the dress that suits our needs also discussed these reviews with her she said we do our best to please and serve our wonderful brides. May is absolutely lovely and the shop has beautiful dresses and you sense that they try to provide the best quality service and experience for brides. I do unfortunately have an issue with certain information on pricing and appointments which is misleading from the consumers perspective regarding further charges of fitting rates. When I put the deposit down on the dress we were told that your next fitting is free of charge, therefore my assumption is which ever date/time I book the appointment, as a full time working women, I would look to book on the weekends. So when I called and spoke to the ladies today I was disappointed to hear of the extra charge on weekends. I was trying to make it clear to the lady on the phone that the staff at Fairytale London do not explicitly differentiate charge out rates for weekdays and weekends. If you are open Monday to Sunday and your staff say your next fitting (if you purchase the dress) is free you will not expect to be charged on any given day. Unfortunately the lady on the phone misunderstood my arguing of the pricing and charge for a weekend as a discredit to their service or the quality of the dresses which isnt the case and also jsutified the extra charge on weekends saying that her staff are human and the dress fitters do not work on weekends which didnt have anything to do with my original complaint which was relating to staff not stating that if you book an appointment on a weekend you need to pay again. If your staff say the next fitting is free that means to me as a consumer I can come in any given day where appointments are available at no charge. The ladies further comment to me "that the staff dont know that I am thinking about coming on the weekend so why would they mention the price" was probably not the right response to say to the consumer and I found this quite unfair. All I am saying is to the owners of Fairytale London, please do not say your fittings are free when they are not, your fittings are free in the inflexible hours of Monday-Friday with the last appointment being 5pm. THerefore if you work normal working hours 9am-5pm in the CIty you will either have to take a day off from work which isnt ideal for a bride on a budget or pay the £35 weekend fee to come in again. My advice to creating a 5 star experience for yourself to all brides, just make sure you double check with the store all the costs involved when buying your dress. If you want quality you will need to pay which is fine, but as a consumer I want to know upfront what costs I am going to incur ahead of time so that I can be prepared. Its so easy to get carried away in the romance of it all but make sure you ask questions, lots of them regarding price and their terms and conditions. YOu will save yourself a lot of unnecessary petty arguments in the future. If you are clear about the pricing and terms and conditions from the outset of buying your dress with them you will have an overall excellent experience. They do know what they are doing in terms of fittings and helping you choose the right dress but the above needs addressing.
