Reviews of Olympia Grand

Ideal Home Show. Spent 5 hours enjoying looking round. Not too busy so (no queue for the ladies) not getting bumped into or having to push your way through to see. Lots to look at, envisage in you own home from tiny ornaments to large interior or exterior transformation. 'Myenergi' was there for all of those wishing to get your 'Zappi' electric car charger fitted before the end of March when the Govt grant dissappears. See my photos for a visual description.

This place I can honestly say is full of wonder, very holistic on multiple levels. I recommend people give it a go 🙂

Attending Ideal Home Exhibition at Olympia. Arrived on London Overground with station located just outside exhibition centre entrance its very convenient, though steps over track involved from the southbound side. Welcome was very nice, with staff offering to take mobile photos of ourselves. Security bag checks on entrance into large hall of exhibitors over two floors. IDHE has enough to see and do to take most of the day.
N. L.
Great exhibition centre. Huge inside. Right by Olympia Station. Went to see the Ideal Home exhibition.
N. M.
Decent venue for a live band. Toilets are OK but beyond stretching point for an event when crowds queue at similar periods (ie between bands). Also staff weren't intelligent with how they segregated the disabled facilities from normal toilets. Ie you had to queue in normal queue.
P. M.
Great space for conventions etc. 2 Floors, plenty of toilets and food outlets, only downside is the price of the food, almost £5, just for a sandwich.
N. F.
Went to the Ideal Home Show. Good to get back to normality. Lots of exhibitions with a complete range of things to see or buy. Very well equipped with plenty of restrooms and places to eat or drink. Easy travel to get there however very busy inside and on tube.
P. P.
Good to see the exhibition back after the lay off from civil.
The Ideal home show was as good as it ever was the only thing that has changed are the Goody Bags you get for nothing don't contain as much as in previous years.
Despite that the show was well run with plenty to see and do with plenty of places to eat and drink.
L. N.
It was so nice to get back here after C. Lots of things to see, try and sample. Watch demonstrations and fall for a bargain. Could do with a few more places to sit and eat, as these areas get quite busy. Good place to spend some hours away. Good travel connections by rail.
C.
Ideal Home Exhibition. Compared to when it was at Earls Court very small. No houses to walk through, wonderful gardens, etc., But going on a Wednesday was good day to go not overcrowded and space to move around, free tables to eat etc., As my ticket was free worth visit, not sure if this would be the case had I paid to get in.
A. G.
Went to the Ideal Home Exhibition at this venue. We went by the underground from Wimbledon to Earls Court & changed to get the 1 stop service to Olympia. The venue is very big & capable of housing all the exhibitors over 2 floors. Lots to see, eat & drink.
m. r.
Lovely old building.
Visited the ideal home exhibition, think they have lost there way a bit no show homes just some odd pods, lots of stalls selling sofas , Cristal's and cabins, many stalls with exactly the same stuff
I. M.
This edifice remains one of the icons for huge business events in London. The only clause during my visit was the renovation of the venue which was a source of confusion to mostly new attendees. The management did not do enough to provide adequate guidance to new comers, like a few I found had problems getting there.
This time, I went in for the Ideal Home Exhibition. The exhibition was indeed a master class as expected from this historic exhibition centre. There were lots of participants and attendees and was thoroughly an enjoyable experience.
D. S.
Great place with a lot of interesting products and treatments. Looking forward to some good business partnerships. Amazing experience!
N. L.
I've been here a few times but this was the first time for the Classic Car Show and it was a better venue than the ExCel in my opinion because it was more spacious and light and airy. It was just a nicer atmosphere and layout in general.
There were plenty of toilets and cafes but there wasn't enough seating unfortunately.
I always enjoy coming back to this venue and I think it was perfect for the Classic Car Show!
N.B. Venue is wheelchair friendly.
M. M.
Lot of stairs but well laid out , if there was lifts I missed them . Easy access to the overground and a short 10 minutes from the tube. Nice friendly staff.
G. J.
We paid to enter and we paid for our food and drink, but several of the traders were quite distant I felt...not sure we were 'the type' they were hoping for! Even though we paid to be there!!
I also have an issue with the confectionary, pick & mix type stall. There were four short steps at each corner, but only one was covered with hazard tape. I tripped and fell heavily on my right shoulder. The young attendant pointed out a tiny warning sign placed way out of range. I've been in pain ever since!!!!!!!!!!!
T. B.
It was ok, felt lots of stuff was over priced, good to have a look around and get some ideas for furniture, art work stalls were good, most of the food was over priced,, Queens tea room has nice staff, but the veggie afternoon tea was poor for the cost of it, and looked like it had been sitting around for some time, wont be going back there.
S. D.
Fabulous day at Olympia yesterday.Bought a few bargains, and my friend bought me my birthday present for later this month.Lots of interesting demonstrations and interesting people.I particularly loved the Conker houses, very cute!
S.
Convenient venue, easy links
N. H.
Large venue hall which holds many public and trade exhibitions and fairs. Weekend public events can get very popular, which is when the aging venue starts to creak around the edges. Lots of building work happening at the minute, which is a bit disruptive. Toilets can be difficult to locate, given the number of banners and signs that exhibitors hang around the place. Food & drink outlets are many and as you expect, charge London prices for OK food. It would be good if the London Underground shuttle from Earls Court ran more often, otherwise it can be a long walk down Kensington High Street.
K.
The venue is huge and is located close to train stations and the Hilton Hotel.
Lots of pubs and a few food stands located inside.
Overall a cracking night out!
B. Z.
Amazing convention center, great location and staff and the venue is perfect, easy access from the underground or a short bus ride from nearby tube stations, they also have great selection of food cafes and restaurants if you get hungry, everytime is visit I have a great experience, depending on the event you can actually make a day out from your visit. Absolutely highly recommend it!!!
S. A.
A good exhibition (art and antiques) a limited range of eateries inside, if you just want tea/coffee/cold drinks /expensive champagne and or a sandwich it was adequate. The exhibition itself was very interesting.
K. D. A. K.
We attended London Comic Con here on Sunday 1st March 2020. Great event by Showmasters. We had an Awesome day. Great venue and friendly staff, Thank you, Ben and Dawn. Pennywise and Jason Voorhees.
J. W.
Large, spacious venue ideally located adjacent to the station. Friendly staff throughout. We went for Ideal Home Show.
B.
Love going to this show. As it was the last day we got a lot of bargains as people were selling a lot of the goods at half price or less. Quite crowded but not 'in your face' so to speak. Lots of variations of food and quite a few ideas for Christmas presents. Look forward to going again next year. 🤩🤩
L. P.
Ideal home exhibition. Varied and interesting. Lots for everyone. Not been for over 30 years so it was nice to see how things have changed.
B. E.
Spirit of Christmas returned to Olympia Grand, so festive and full of amazing ideas and fabulous gifts. Lots of facilities and clear signage. Spaces to eat, rest and natter. The whole place was filled with the most wondrous light through its glass ceiling.
C. B.
Covid has caused many of the usual stall holders to stay away, there were more people selling crystals than there used to be, I didn't buy much but it was worth going, even if it was just to get out of the flat and see other people.
D. P.
A great place to visit for the exhibitions but the food hall (ideal home show during my visit) within it was pricey and less attractive
O. L.
Had great fun exhibiting Little Hearts Muesli. The tasty cereal snack with real fruit pieces. Contains Beta glucan that reduce cholesterol #littleheartsmuesli #sfff19
H. R.
Nice large exhibition area and close to train station which is a bonus. I'm was here for a two day event, so stayed over in local hotel. Great for hosting large events, plenty of facilities toilets, disabled access etc.
L. C.
We have made 2 visits to the Olympia now for Dragworld. The venue is great and the staff are all lovely. My only issue is the price of the food and drink within the cafes. It was around £2.30 for a bottle of water and over £6 for a sandwich! Crazy prices.
A. A.
Went to Ideal Home exhibit where excellent ideas given for utilising spaces inside and outside of your home.
N. S.
Nice place for exhibits to visit have food also.Has good transport links.
Went to ideal home show.
N. L.
Yes it was really good. Less crowded this time than the Christmas show.
A. H.
Interesting lots of ideas, very good food drink people a very good day out and very easy to get to by train.
V. “.
A great place to visit when a show is on very large areas which enables you to visit each section, top tip go midweek and bring walking shoes and go early upstairs to visit food and drink areas prices cheaper.
M. W.
National wine exhibition featuring hundreds of wines from most of the wine producing countries around the world. Open to the trade ideal opportunity for buyers from all sectors of the trade to see what’s happening in the wine world.
J. B.
I go here once a year to visit the Ideal Home Exhibition, it's a nice day out, you never know what you may find.
D. W.
Nice trade fair facility, spatious and well arranged.
C. B.
Visited Olympia for Hyper Japan. Apart from it being quite warm and cramped with people in there is was a great day. Easy access from the train too!
A. B.
Venue is actually pretty decent, plenty of space, easy access internally and from various places in London.
p. t.
Lovely old building that does its job well with best access to train only feet from the station
I. F.
The main hall at Olympia London. Arched ceiling covered in glass letting lots of light in. Big open area home to conventions and exhibitions.
S. C.
Beautiful venue, plenty of toilets and food options.
P. V. (.
Historical industrial Building . I have been an exhibitor during Pure London . I have presenterò my collection of hand made hats. Best regards Vitrizia
J. C.
I went to the mind, body and spirit event and enjoyed the occasion. I went looking for answers and found them there.
L. F.
Great way to spend a Thursday morning from sun up to 2pm always a great bargain to be found
N. L.
I've only been here for LFCC.
More than enough room. Lots of toilets.
Only minor point. On hot days it's very hot in there
K. F.
Brilliant place for an exhibition very easy to get to. Lots of toilet and eating places.
P. W.
Although major structural steelwork and rebuilds is currently in operation it is great to see they are keeping the Victorian architecture. It did not stop any of the activities of London Film & Comic Con.
T. H.
Main workout space and amount of equipment is impressive. Was busy but not too busy. Only reason for 3 stars and not 5. Is the mens lockers were mostly damaged locks so though most lockers not in use there was only a handful of lockable ones which were still secure able. Additionally some of the shower doors had broken locks.. should be an easy fix... hope they see this and resolve. Also would be nice to have a clock in changing room (like some of the other branches)
C. H.
Absolutely gorgeous food. Great selection. Brilliant service. Highly recommended
J. A. H.
Huge venue for exhibitons and trade shows. The building has a nice Steampunk touch, but the main attraction is obviously the particular event.
O. A.
I enjoyed the day, excited to see all the products that were available for sale.It was an enjoyable day.
d. l.
Art and antiques fair. There was also the food hall which was amazing. Best overall exhibition for a long time. Champagne bar.
J. K.
Must go if you like new age topics, holistic/alternative therapies and/or spirituality.
This is the best mind, body spirit event/expo that I’ve been to.
Keep them coming 🙂
D. D.
Huge place easy to get around . Great venue
J. B.
Attended an event here. Good events hall with wide selection of food outlets.
U. P.
Venue facilities were good and clean. Nice to see that the refreshments prices were not over inflated.
M. A.
Had a great day at the Ideal Home show, would recommend 👌
C. R.
Great site. I've been here for two events now and find it to be pretty easy to get to and a great space.
S. M.
Excellent location for comic con over this weekend.. Brilliant venue..
m. k.

B. S.

B. D.
Went to Imbibe live, and it was a brilliant experience! Got to meet Tom Dyer, tried some phenomenal spirits and liqueurs and there were some very informative talks too! A brilliant time!!! ✌
N. G.
Superb!
Such a great place for a trade show.
T. R.
Wonderful area that's right next to the overground station
F. A.
This place is huge! Totally recommend to go if you have a conference there! Good luck

I went to the Beauty Show at Olympia. I understand that there has to be risk assessments and pre-cautions taken in these pandemic times, so covid QR codes or Lateral flow test, then the e tickets had to be found and somewhere in that mix sniffer dogs as well? We should have felt safer, instead we felt intimated, irritated and not welcome.
Maybe the system will get better with practice.
P. F.
I've gone most years to the ideal home show and it seems the same old thing each year
Needs something new
K. S.
Had a brilliant time here, food was great and even had vegan options. Bought some amazing furniture from a company called blackbrook I think it was, hope they're there next time
G. O.
Brilliant Christmas stalls and fabulous food and drink too ideal home Christmas show a must for all Christmas lovers!!!
R. B.
Ideal home show was ok but food prices a little high
G. B.
Great venue for multiple exhibitors.
k. N.
Olympia London is the very best Exhibition in the World in my opinion... Not that I've seen all Exhibitions..!!🤫💯
J. G.
OK, but VERY expensive food and drink. A bit rundown these days.
S. Q.
Very busy but enjoyable event.
M.
Great smaller exhibition Hall. Good train connections with Overground and underground links. Like it.
J. L.
Great open space....well organised...
A. B.
Ideal home show . All good
M. G.
Went to the classic car show. Nice big hall clean toilets, (Expensive car parking) 😬
P. A.
A happy place. Tiring on the feet.

Great transport for olympia
M. G.
Well organised event, with proof of covid-19 vaccination on door to limit infection
R. B.
Ideal home show was ok but food prices a little high
J. D.
Very good Christmas Fair. Lots of stalls and plenty of variety
B. C.
It was OK there had been better one
W. O.
Ideal home ex was not as good this year as in past years before lock down
E. D.
Visited here to attend the holiday/travel show searching for ideas of where and what else we could do for future holidays. The venue itself was very light and airy, high ceilings and looked very much like an old fashioned railway station.
There were plenty of eating and drinking facilities as well as toilets. As for travel to and from, the semi attached underground station only operates trains to and from Earls Court on weekends and some bank holidays which is very disappointing as this means we and thousands of other had to walk the final half mile or so.
So good, but not all good.
m. k.
Go every year (usually) fantastic
R. C.
Fully accessible great show lots of beautiful car s exhibited Carers tickets are free to pick up on the door. we had a great day. worth paying for the disabled parking on site if you drive
L. L.
Masks not worn... tut tut not as good as last time.
M. G.
Well organised event, with proof of covid-19 vaccination on door to limit infection
D. w.
Amazing venue. We visited for Retail Expo and found it a really open and well lit (loads of natural light). The building is a classic piece of architecture. Facilities are good. The only negative is that isn't served by the underground (though closest is only 15 min walk so not too bad)
G. R.
Fantastic Space for all types of magor events a well lit and safe environment and good travel connections close to Kensington High Street
E. M.
A good space for large exhibits and events. Lots of natural light and well ventilated. Lifts and some entrances have step free access. In some areas the baby changing facilities are only located in the women's toilets. Good public transport links.
C. T.
Fabulous day out. Lovely brunch. Staff were amazing.
J. D.
Very good Christmas Fair. Lots of stalls and plenty of variety
H. W.
Great location for an exhibition! Easy to get to either by tube or overground on the weekends!
M. C.
Great venue, superb food and such an interesting history as documented on the walls
T. M.
Amazing venue for Festivals. A week ago I went to the Muslim Fashion Festival. It was lovely to meet and see all the other lovely people in this little world. It is also a great opportunity to communicate and see modest fashion and see brands which you have never seen before! You can also go to the Kids Zone so your kids can have a lovely time. Also other events are held very organizing. I hope the upcoming events make smiles on other people's faces too!😊
K. D.
I visited the Olympia Grand for DragWorld 2019 and it was amazing, the event itself was absolutely stunning. The venue was wonderful, great acoustics, even though it was quite hot that day, inside was pretty nice. Toilets were clean, worked fine. It wasn't overly crowded even though the Sunday was sold out. A really nice experience!
G. D.
Visited Xmas show, very small this year as most of Olympic under some form of construction works.
S.
Olympia is so worth searching on there website. They have some amazing and definitely family fun exhibitions. It is easy to get to by bus or tube. The underground operates there only on weekends. The prices of entry vary depending on the exhibition however you will often find early bird tickets.
The last one we went to was a Japanese food and Manga exhibition and it was a wonderful day out.
B. Z.
Went for Hyper Japan it was alot of fun and the venue was very spacious and pretty.
S. H.
Huge and very flexible exhibition space well connected for transport though onsite parking is crazy exspensive also food outlets charge a premium for being in-house. Good lifts , good toilet facilities and a great programme of events all year round , they used to stage music concerts though the sound of the room has always been bad.
R. T.
Its a nice place to visit. Its amazing when it's all kitted out. The staff are really friendly and the security are top notch. I've been to a few venues like this one but the security can be bad. BUT here absolutely great friendly and helpful though out. Keep up the good work lads.
T. A.
Great day out. I brought tickets from the 100 offered. I brought my friend & I await the next event. But the toilet facilities aren't good. The unisex one had no toile tissue and the floor hadn't been cleaned, so had to offer females in queue tissues.
M. S.
I went for "Mind, body, spirit" show. I'm surprise that the organisers don't control the noise, meaning, there are many treatments to try but when is so loud inside, it's everything but relaxing. Too much in too little space.
Everything is pricey.
Premises are fine with all kind of facilities, included toilets and, coffees and restaurants.
S. H.
Went to Comicon for the first time and was totally underwhelmed. Great if you want to spend £££ on merch, there were hundreds of stalls but there wasn't much else there. Every meeting with a celebrity costs a packet and even the talks were expensive.
S. R.
Great RTS visit!
Z. D.
Massive venue for major events and large exhibitions.
U. A.
Exhibition was not as good as previous one
S. O.
Great event centre, friendly staff, the cafe isn't always the best as some days it's great and others it's not so good. But it's easy for coffee if all else fails you can go across the street for more.
G. M.
Some views from the Ideal Home Exhibition 2019
M. G.
I had a great day at the ideal home exhibition which i've attended before. Lovely friendly people great deals to be had. The only down side is the woman who crows down the microphone at the end of the evening to get you out of the venue. on and on and on and on.
A. C.
Great exhibition hall!
W.
Didn't love the vibe here and it was very difficult to find the entrance. I went to the mind body spirit festival, which I usually attend in Birmingham. The staff on the entrance in Birmingham are friendly, helpful and upbeat, the staff at Olympia seemed suspicious of us and most certainly not friendly. Weird for an event!
C. A.
Great historical venue
B.
Amazing building but not very good for loading and unloading
C. A.
Good space, was clean but hard to find toliets needs better sign posting. Also i was disapointed there is recyling bins available, considering how many people visit having recyling bins would help.
We walked from white city station to an event there. It was about 10mins walk.
T. M.
Visited the allergy + free from show. Brilliant, lots of new products, samples and friendly people willing to talk. The eating places belonging to Olympia were disappointing if you have food intolerances. Ironically for a Freefrom show it would have been better if we had taken our own lunch!
S. O.
Thank you for having such a store.
A. F.
Visited Language Show which had shrunk significantly from its previous venue at Business Centre, Islington. Access from Tube, Overground + buses excellent but inside, the acoustics were extremely poor, so one had difficulty hearing the speakers at the Taster sessions + in the Seminar areas.
J.
Depending on why you are there, for me it was a travel show. The coffee stalls vary in price so check them out first. Some of the ladies toilets were a bit messy but staff were there cleaning.
K. B. L.
If you are just visiting London for a weekend trip or as a stop off to a tour around the UK, Olympia Grand is a good starting point but check the website first for events tickets which can be purchased at a slight discount price if you subscribe to the site's emails.
I have been to the Christmas event here before and it has a large selection of fine dining food stalls with a vaste range of food outlets to choose from for gifts or just for personal buys.
The events at the Olympia exhibition halls, are usually spectacular so worth the entrance fee of £12 approx.
Then from there, the high street in Kensington is not far away and all the buses going towards Kensington High St tube station are approx. every 5 mins.
J. J.
There has to be a better shortcut from the station to the hall rather than to have to walk up to the high road and all the around to the farthest entrance.
Also, please sort out the coffee cups. It wasn't until mine leaked/split all over me before I remembered that exactly the same thing happened last time.
C. N.
Excellent events location, with great rail and car connections
D. D.
Went to the ideal home exhibition
l. h.
Great day out with friends
W. G.
Its a really good venue however the fact that some stalls required money and none of the cash machines were working that was annoying. Also they charge a fee so if you are going and think you might need cash, draw it out prior
S. I.
Still a great exhibition space, particularly if you get offers via Times Out or newsletter subscription to travel, food, homeward companies. Security are thorough on the doors so don't try to take alcohol in ! Food outlets at all events are quite pricey.. advise you to take your own snacks and a spare drink. Signposting to toilets is ok. However you will find it's a considered thing breaking away from what you're looking at to queue for one. Several exhibitions can be on at a time therefore pay attention to the entrance point suggested on your ticket or you'll end up walking round the block getting confused. There's a handy Tesco Express across the road to pick up aforementioned snacks. Transport links are go with an Olympia overhead train that takes you northwards to Wilsden and southwards to Clapham junction. Buses go past the front.
S. C.
Best place to find yourself! 😂 you can't get lost ❤ mind body and spirit exhibition
M. L.
A great place to visit if you like film and comic cons manic and very crowded but a great atmosphere brilliant if you like collecting Autographs and seeing your favourite film and tv stars also great for buying and collecting comics and things
D. P.
Brilliant Exhibition Hall with Character!

Exhibition center in London. London Book Fair and many more exhibitions are happening here. Great location in London. Easy access to buses, trains and Tube. Great !!!
R. S.
Still a great place for exhibitions and event's but even this is showing signs of age, particularly the parking never enough when the public are fighting for spaces with contractors and event staff
J. B.
This is a great place to visit ,whatever event they have there. When we went it was Hyper Japan w/e and me and my two boys loved it.

Amazing venue!!!
Brilliant location
J. N.
We love the Olympia Horse Show
R. P.
It's not really meaningful to review the venue when it's the show that we attended. However, Hyper Japan fills Olympia pretty well.
N. C.
Great facilities inside the venue for exhibitors and patrons. Natural lighting adds to the beauty of the establishment.
P. N.
Great venue for the British Beer Festival, good beer, facilities and entertainment as well as a wide variety of food, trade stands and facilities
C. L. G. M.
Very good place for expositions. I been attending 2 days and everything was well organized
i. p.
Not as big as usaul only one exhibition hall

Great venue for expos. Clean and spacious. In house cafes are a tad expensive though.

Good exhibition area, but only seemed to have two lots of female toilets to use. Perhaps it was just that day?

A. L. V.
Very nice but expensive.
M. H.
Lovely day here
O. Q.
This building is too old, no Aircon no escalators and looks run down. It's a beautiful building but needs some TLC.
D. H.
Ideal home show. Not how I remember it with the big show homes. A good place to visit for home ideas. Lovely day out.
D. S.
The venue does its job. An exhibition centre for trade shows. Not sure a personal review is necessary. (Food wasn't great, if you want something.)
S. W.
They have a lot of events here, like the Idel home exhibition, Hyper Japan and much more. Go into their website and see. Maybe there something for you.
D. P.

Smaller than i thought it would be, as long as the transport ie tube and train is running, to get there is easy, otherwise can be hard
D. G.
Only worked here building exhibition stands but they seem to be getting more organised it's taken long enough
l. k.
I went to the ideal home show and we spent all day walking around you should try go there is some amaseing railing designs and patterns the only bad thing was it gets very hot due to the glass roof
T. C.
Great show venue, car parking getting very expensive though. Lifts too small for the size of venue. Plenty of loos
M. W.
The Ideal Home Show was OK, but somehow not as exciting or innovative as in previous years.
N. B. T.
I went there for the speciality fine food fair and I liked it a lot plus so easy to get to.
L. P.
Great variety of products available a lovely experience to view many products not available on the high street. Take your own water very expensive.
D. A.
Can do with more varied shows and ticket prices should be cheaper especially on the day
C. S.
Great exhibition space very central. Good food options
