WatchMyWheels roller skate event at The Oval 🙌🏾 Brilliant! The floor inside is perfect for a skate event. And having the bar outside kept it clean and safe. Hope we get to do it again.

Had so much fun watching the six nations with @4thefans at the Oval Space in London! Drinks were flowing , atmosphere was fab , big screen was perfect and we also got a pie ! We will be returning soon !

Attended a roller skating event and I must say it was really good. The security staff was wonderful and really helpful. The bar staff where really nice. The main hall floor was really smooth with a small area that was lumpy but it had white lines over it so you could see it and avoid it. The toilets 🚻where very clean and smelt nice. If there is an other roller event there I am definitely going back

Went to see candlelight tribute to Aretha Franklin. It was my first time at the venue. It was not what I expected as it was a concert type performance with everyone seated I a row. I was expecting to be seated at a table. Despite this it was a brilliant evening. The singer and band were brilliant. The atmosphere was amazing. We had a really good time. It would have been awesome if we had the individual table seating. Going to see tribute to Nina Simone next week 🙌

Absolutely love the space! It's really cool and trendy! Great for events like the talk I attended. It has large windows so if the sun's out you get great natural lighting. There was plenty of space for moving around and networking even with a load of chairs in the room. The toilets were really lovely too. Great space!

Had a great time here on Saturday for the byday bynight event. Security we’re on the ball but very chilled out, atmosphere was relaxed. Crowd was a real mix and everyone was really inclusive and friendly. Sound system was spot on, very easy to get a drink and toilets were surprisingly always clean! I’d go back there 100%!

Brilliant space, well designed, great choice of food stalls with amazing smells. Not enough shopping stalls for vintage staff or clothing, or any other type of shopping, but nonetheless it was a great evening there with live music, tasty food and a couple of lovely drinks stalls too. Versatile and very cool venue. I've been here a few times for gigs and a club night and always had an amazing time. The layout seamlessly blends a club warehouse with cozy outdoor social areas and the place has good facilities and a nice drinks menu.

This is an absolutely top venue. It's a great size without being too big, easy to get to facilities, quick bar staff and the outside space is ideal if you need to some fresh air and you can still see the band. Ideal! Look forward to returning!

It's a quite nice place to chill with friends in a nice sunny day in London. They have selections of food trucks and some mixed-stuff small stalls that sell many different stuffs. It's a good place, but not very appealing to me tbh. But it's worth to visit if you're bored with your usual weekend spots and feeling like to try something new and different.

Great space for live music and large events... I've done both in this space. The sound for live music is decent and for a secret Sundaz club night, also good. Large outdoor spaces also to enjoy in the summer and warm evenings, decent space for smokers. Toilets are okay, but could be better and have more cubicals given the capacity of the building. It's a space I would go to again. Great night out with friends indeed. It's a private hire space so you get all sorts of events here. Check out the calander to find something you'll like.

Reluctantly bought a last minute ticket for NYE and boy was it worth it! The main room is spacious with great atmosphere, an excellent soundsystem, and easy access to the smoking area and restrooms. Bar staff were very friendly but don't expect much in the way of manners from the bouncers. Overall, a great venue I'll be sure to visit again.

Staff are friendly, soundsystem is really great in the main room. They set up water tanks on the main bar, so you can refill your cup/bottle with water without having to wait for bar staff to attend to you (huge plus). Terrace is nice when they have music, with a nice view too. Toilets are adequate. Drinks are far too pricey.

Some of the best names in a solid, unpretentious venue. We've run into folks of all ages and backgrounds here and everyone always feels welcome and has an amazing time. Plenty of open space means you can easily stand back and a take a break when you to.

Very spacious venue. Looks like a warehouse when you enter but once you go upstairs there is a bar & balcony for smoking area. Staff however aren't the most swift with working behind the bar. I order 3 rounds of drinks and every time I went to the bar the price was different - despite ordering the exact same thing so BE CAREFUL

It was a great venue aside from the fact it got way too hot. I was left feeling lightheaded and faint, and had to ask the bouncers if I could go and get some fresh air in the emergency exits without properly leaving as there was no re-admittence.

Airy and open dance arena, with easy access to the bar. Drinks are very expensive, £5 for a 330ml tinny. The door policy is airport style strict searches. The smoking terrace is long and broad to get free air.

It's a cool place for creative people or anyone who wants to hold an event here. It's spacious and has a fantastic atmosphere. If you want to hold an event here I would definitely say go for it. It's in a back road but it's not hard to find. There is parking but you just have to find it where ever you can.

Pretty damn good venue. Sound is good and there's lots of space to dance (compared to other venues in London!).. Nice smoking area too. Don't expect anything spectacular - it's literally a space.

Nice place for a event. Quite spacious and good outdoor spaces for food. Went to Catfest here and it was perfect for it as there was a stage, and indoors space for stalls, outdoors space for chilling and food, and another indoor room for rescue cats to reside in. All managed well.

Venue was OK, the event we went to was awful, the vibe was completely off. They closed the terrace and forced everyone in to an empty room with the sound system on full blast, not really the best thing to do TBH.

Nice space but the sound, oh the sound. Why is it always a let down and lot carry beyond the front of the stage. Really need to do something about the acoustics of the space.

Bring your hearing aids it unbelievably quiet, you can have a casual conversation with your nan on the phone and every now and then the over enthusiastic bass balance will make the lighting rig vibrate as an accompaniment. Otherwise pretty nice venue.

This venue is really quite special and one of my favourites in east London. Hosting crafty, market-style events by day and ravey club nights when the sun goes down, this place has it all. There's even a terrace with an impressive, industrial vibe; the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine in the summer.

Among the bug clubs in London, my favourite. Crowd is everything but pretentious. Sound is not amazing and closing the bar one hour before closing is not perfect, but I love the place and the big window in summer is a sight to see.

I went to see Cosmo Sheldrake here, and the gig was great. It was absolutely lovely to spend time in the outdoor spaces between sets, the warehouse layout gives it a really friendly vibe, the bar was calm, and the bathrooms were clean and well-stocked. I like that the west-facing wall is a window so the sun set over the gig. However, the venue is quite difficult for anyone with access needs - there is a flight on steps up to the stage level, and there are only three benches inside (not reserved seating). The venue did not return my calls or emails when I inquired about their accessibility over the week preceding the show, which was disappointing as another ticket holder then did not know if they could attend. Oval Space, please add some reserved seating and answer your emails.

Gig was great. Sound was excellent. Dangerously hot, band claimed it was the hottest gig they have played with several people falling ill through heat exhaustion. Also the bar is just a giant ice water bucket rather than real chilled drinks. With some tweaking could be a great intimate gig venue but for now its dangerous with warm overpriced drinks.

£5 for a 330 ml can of beer! I'd have accepted that if it was on tap and served in a pint cup, but that's extortionate by any London venues standards. Venue itself is OK, but was a nightmare to find (quite unassuming from the outside). Sound was fine, decent atmosphere.

Main room has lots of space to dance or, if your not much of dancer, avoid bumping into people. High ceiling and large window makes for a comfortable and airy space to relax and enjoy the music. Seems to be a very well managed venue. The bleak but atmospheric view of a gas storage cylinder surprisingly seems to enhance the music.

An awesome East London venue. WIth day-time beer festivals to late night raves, the Oval Space is one of my fave venues in this part of town. They have a lovely-looking terrace (particularly pretty during the summer) and at the bar you get served surprisingly quickly.

Went here with my boyfriend for a techno event. I've been to quite a few places like this with him for techno music and hated most of them. This is the first time i can honestly say I was able to enjoy myself. It was a great space and a good crowd. No one was smoking inside or doing drugs (at least that I saw)...people were respectful and it wasn't overly crowded. Also, the bathrooms were absolutely spotless! I've never seen bathrooms so clean in any club or bar. Security was pretty strict so just a heads up. Your ID must match the name on the ticket in order to get in or the person whose name is on it must be there with you if you were going to buy it off of someone. Lots of people were turned away bc they bought resale tickets.

Cheap drinks! £14 for two double vodkas and a coke. Great line array sound system with a few sweet spots, so explore the space.

Excellent sound system in a large, soulless, white & grey concrete space. Overpriced drinks, full frisk at the door - the full clubbing experience. If that's your thing you'll love this, but due to the warehouse location I was hoping for something a little more distinctive. Oval's main USP is its nice balcony with a great view of the sun rising behind the gasometer. Otherwise it's nothing special.

Perhaps my favourite venue for my favourite London event - Morning Glory. With its balcony area with cool industrial plant views and easy walking distance from Bethnal Green, I can't fault the venue! And with the only event that I will wake up at 6 am for. I am definitely converted member of the 'Ville' and the Oval.

Trendy concert and events venue near Bethnal Green. Smallish capacity but can feel crowded due to narrow entrances and exits. Central DJ booth is cool although acoustics are a little echoey. Being out on the decking is best, taking in the views of urban wasteland.

Went to see Bonobo on the 18.07.15. Great venue, excellent and very friendly crowd of ravers . Security were polite... Sound system is terrible , what's the point of hosting such great DJ's if you can't feel the music? I got there at midnight and Maribou State played the first two hours, it was so quiet that even stood right at the front one could hear people talking over the music. Admittedly they did turn it up a bit when Bonobo came on and he did rock the place but it still was nowhere near loud enough . Lacks bass and you just can't hear the detail in the music. Oh and it's ridiculously hot in there, you will sweat buckets! In summary : A good venue with an excellent vibe that is hugely let down by the awful sound system and the HEAT!
