Thank you to The Great Hall Leyton for holding our wedding reception. All our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and warmly complimented the venue and service provided. My partner & I were really happy we went with this venue as it had fit our criteria and more. Maria as an event manager, was amazing. She had always been hospitable, kind and warm, always offering to make tea/coffee and always reassuring when putting us at ease. On one particular occasion we had faced a last minute unprecedented issue that was completely out of our hands. However, Maria selflessly went above and beyond to swiftly resolve the issue. We would love to recommend The Great Hall Leyton to anyone who is considering holding events at this wonderful venue, as it surpassed our expectations!

We would like to thank Maria and her team for her exceptional professionalism, throughout our wedding event. Given the unprecedented circumstances with a global pandemic, we like most couples had to change our wedding dates several times and came across The Great Hall by chance. We loved the atmosphere of the hall the moment we both walked in. Maria was very precise on what was on offer and how we can work with her and her preferred suppliers in turning our vision into the reality for our big day. Literally around 6 weeks before our wedding day, we booked the venue. Maria and her team welcomed us and our families and friends with smiles on their faces throughout the day, making sure every aspect of our wedding day was on point. We had great feedback from our guests on the venue, decor, food & organisation of the day. We cannot thank Maria and her team enough, they went beyond and above our expectations.

Our family and I decided to look for a local hall where our parents home is. As we were planning our dad's funeral. All I can say is that Maria, the Events Manager, was absolutely amazing and extremely supportive from the get-go! We couldn't have asked for a better Events Manager! Especially during our difficult time losing our dad. All facilities there, were of an excellent standard. From the toilets to the kitchen and of course, the main hall. We used the Great Hall for a Conference to honour and support Practice Nurses working in GP Surgeries across North East London. We are not a big organisation (a group of Lead Practice Nurses and our administrator got together to design and run the conference, which was funded by NHS CPD money.) To our great relief we had kind and considerate support from Maria the Events Manager all the way through. Nothing was too much trouble and she did above and beyond what we expected to make it a success! It was a brilliant venue with a lovely Events Manager! The nurses and speakers were so impressed with the hall and the food she helped us to arrange. It was a fabulous day for everyone!

What a stunning venue! We had our wedding here in May 2022 booking this venue through our caterer - Ummah Catering who recommended Leyton Great Hall to us as an option. Ive read some of the negative reviews here and its really unfair - You need to understand you are hiring a listed building, there are strict rules and regulations that need to be followed. Parking was a breeze for my 180+ guests not a single complaint, free on street parking after 4pm on Saturday for us. Maria offered us facilities for disabled guests too. Maria, the events manager was the person looking after us. Booking was quick and easy. No messing around, straight forward. Everything was on paper. Maria, it was an absolute pleasure working with you, your prompt responses to emails and phone calls, and all the small details made our whole wedding experience a pleasure. We and our guests loved the venue. The natural light coming through the massive windows, the high ceiling made the room feel incredibly airy and spacious. Everything was exactly how we wanted it. The layout of the venue makes a lot of sense, book a viewing - you will see what i mean. Everything just flows and works. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone, the massive windows letting in nature sunlight is definitely the highlight of this place! We already got amazing pictures from guests - cant wait for the professional ones to come through. Thank you Maria! I deffo will be sending people you way :) Will add pictures when we get them :)

The Hall is stunning & the manager (Maria) and her team are very welcoming & professional. Even though our booking was for a Celebration of Life after losing someone close to us. The manager and her team made my family/guest feel at ease and were friendly and helpful throughout our hire. Although we were unable to book the venue due to a last minute increase in our guest headcount, the size and location of the Leyton Great Hall is really good. There is good space in the hall, on the stage, in the bar area and in the corridors around the main hall itself. The toilets are done up really good too! I also think the price for hire and for all the additional options e.g. bride/groom suites and corkage are very reasonable. Maria was very helpful and supportive - I felt she personally invested herself into our occasion to ensure we have the best experience, even if we didn't book at this venue! We visited the hall 2-3 times and she never made it feel like we were a burden. She even scanned over a handwritten draft layouts of the hall to meet our initial requirements. And she is very open and honest about the terms of the contract - it really showed that there are no hidden catches... just a great manager who is ready to make your occasion as special as possible. Would highly recommend - and we're sure to return someday!

The hall itself is beautiful. Maria is helpful. ( once you paid deposit, she'll remind you of rules regulations now and then like as if your a school kid). No Parking, so families with little ones, or any one with disabilities... GOOD LUCK. We had our event after the 19th July, restrictions were eased. But not for Maria, she didn't care what Uncle Boris said it was her way. See 4 out of my 1000 pictures which I can't upload all but see the ugly blue arrows in our pictures, they were in reception, hall in - out on doors, the stairs. How can I give it a 5 🌟???? Also don't book in summer my advise, when it gets sooo hot, the hall has NO fans No Air con. (she won't help u here). Unless you want to see your lovely guest melt. I could go on and on, but ermmm yeah that's it folks!

A wonderful hall and brilliant, professional staff. We recently held our event at the Great Hall and we had a great experience. Maria and her team took good care of us, and on a personal note, Maria was brilliant to correspond with. We recently celebrated our daughter’s 18th birthday at Leyton Great Hall. The place was beautiful, clean and massive. The event manager Maria was so helpful and very knowledgeable. We recently got married at the Leyton Great Hall. It is a beautiful venue and worked really well for our needs. We were able to hold the ceremony and the evening reception in the same location as we used the Chambers room for a cocktail reception in between. We were also really pleased that profits from our wedding feed back into local community projects.

I had to hire out the great hall for my grandad's funeral and was so transparent and had such a lovely comforting personality, I was completely at ease. She made such a unfortunate time in my life which is filled with stress, a easier experience. Maria the manager of Leyton Great Hall has been nothing short of amazing. We used the hall for our wedding and from the point of making enquiries to booking and then on the night of the event, she was extremely professional and so pleasant to work with. A thoroughly nice woman!! She went beyond the call of duty to make sure our anxieties were eased and we had a very pleasurable event. She would always pick up the phone whenever we had to speak to her and communication was never a problem. She made sure we had access to the building and had enough time to set up and take down. She was very clear in her requirements and did not at all make things difficult for us, but was rather a great help. She was available during the event and afterwards, when it was very, very late to supervise the take down and clearing out and she was nothing short of an angel. I highly recommend!

I recently used this hall for my Grandads funeral. The venue itself was incredible and was able to accommodate the large number of guest that we had. The Event Manager Maria was absolutely amazing. Not only was she so professional, but given the sad situation as to why we were using the venue, she was also extremely supportive and caring. I would definitely recommend and book again.

We had our wedding at the Great Hall in September 2017 - its a very beautiful hall, the architecture is stunning both inside and out, makes wedding pictures look even more stunning. I would highly recommend this hall and the price is very reasonable for a hall that's ideally located with great transport network and in London. We were allowed to set up the night before and as early as 9am the next day. Maria and Frank were very professional and courteous to our needs - they went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic day and catered to our every need - before, during and immediately after the wedding. The design of the hall is very spacious and can accommodate those with detailed decorations. The bride suite was very spacious, the kitchen was very spacious and fully equipped. We had a beautiful wedding at this venue and thanks to the halls management for their service - Maria, Frank and Karen.

I have been recently dealing with Maria who is the new Events Manager for Leyton Great Hall to book for my wedding in August 2017. I would like to say that it has been an absolute pleasure dealing with Maria. Maria has been extremely helpful. Me and my fiance went to view the hall where we were made to feel very welcome. Maria explained everything to us in detail so there was nothing left to the imagination. She explained the prices and gave us a complete breakdown of everything. I m happy to say we have booked the hall and more so we may even book it for the second part of our wedding. I got Married in January 2019, and what can I say. The venue is walking distance from Leyton station. It is so amazing specially in the evening when the curtains are drown and all the lights are on, the hall becomes sooooo beautiful. The venue is kept very well, very clean and I believe is regularly painted which is a bonus. The bathrooms are modernised and so clean you could sleep in there. In terms of service MARIA is an angel, she helped me so much, I have no words to describe her. Always available and will go the extra mile and then some more to help and make your day special. She will negotiate with her bosses if you are in a tight budget like me. My husband and I are very thankful Maria, you made my day so special we cant't thank you enough.

If you are looking for a hall in Leyton to hold a special occasion or wedding reception this is the hall for you, it has been restored to its original design and reminders me of those listed buildings which has lots of original characters, l believe it can accommodate up 200 people seated, this is one of those venues that will surprise you when you walk in, and you will wonder how comes you have never heard about it.

I recently rented the venue for an end of year school prom. The venue is a fantastic place to hold a special event as the hall has such great character. The event was extremely successful and this was particularly due to the amazing staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they went above and beyond what I could have expected.
