Brilliant space, easy to reach by public transport, love its location and owners were very calm when I said we were hosting a party for my teenage daughter. The two rooms are beautiful and very well equipped and looked so welcoming and Christmassy when we got there. Easy to book and everyone really enjoyed themselves and all of the friends were enthralled by the two spaces and were so excited that it was all ours for the evening. Also love that we were encouraged to decorate it.... just perfect instructions. Many thanks again and we'll be back very soon. X

I was looking for a local venue to hire for my Childrens birthday party and I came across ‘The Living Room’ space. The owners James and Pascal were very responsive with good communication and I was able to be shown a preview of the venue before hiring as well before the event. The venue though being ‘smaller’ than a ‘traditional’ big hall, meant that the feel was more ‘homely’ and the split level of having an entertainer performing his show upstairs (at street level) for all the kids and the kitchen area downstairs was good, as able to set up tables and prepare the foods etc with no interference of what was going on upstairs. The venue is clean and accommodating and there is free parking. I would recommend the place for cosy ‘homely feel’ party and yes good for for 20-24 kids and would not hesitate to recommend this venue.

Hosted a paint party recently! This space is perfect for all occasions. I was able to bring homemade food to warm and seemlesy cater for my guests using the utility area. It's modern, and a perfect size to celebrate with friends and family.

This venue is absolutely superb!!! We had my sister and her husband’s baby shower here and could not have asked for more. The venue was so versatile and all of our guests said how much they loved it. The hosts are wonderful and allowed me to pop by before hand to visit and see the space. There are lots of chairs, tables and all kinds of other amenities to use. It’s a fantastic blank canvas for any kind of event. They also have an incredible picture hanging system which we found very useful to hang some of our decorations. Will absolutely be returning for future parties. Top notch!

We celebrated our baby shower there and it went great! The place is quite big (bigger than in photos) and it has all the facilities you need in a party. Also, the oven/fridge and cleaning products are super handy! Highly recommended.

Beautiful space with a glorious ambience. Was looking for a home away from home to have an intimate family gathering for my son's birthday. I had my daughters 1st birthday here at the living room space. As soon as we arrived to the living room space it was such a nice space to decorate I loved the upstairs and downstairs part of it, where I could have family downstairs and friends upstairs. James was very good at communicating and would always be very prompt with emailing back. My family and friends loved it there and would like to do a party there also.Sofas was comfortable and loads of chairs to sit on. Very clean and looks very modern. We used this venue last month when our charity needed somewhere to carry out a bit of recording prior to our online fundraising event. It was excellent, nice location, spacious and clean. The crew and artists felt relaxed in the space under the current circumstances. A number of us were keen to consider future alternative usage for the space. Good value for money.

Once again the hiring this venue at The Living Room Streatham came up trumps for my dad’s surprise 80th birthday party. It was the ideal intimate venue to host such an amazing and beautiful evening. Thank you so much for making our surprise day so amazing. I would like to thank James again for all is help from the day I enquired about booking the venue. Nothing was ever too much to ask for, and questions were always answered super fast. I couldn’t have asked for a better day, or a better venue. It really did exceed all exceptions of how the venue looked on the day, and how the day came together after I decorated the venue. I will always recommend the living room to anyone looking for a small venue. Everything was clean and we were able to use the facilities fully. Chairs, tables were provided. I was allowed to hire extras eg tableware etc to add to the evening. The living room is an idea venue for all your event needs. Will definitely use again. Wish I could post pictures. Wendy

Found The Living Room Place on Google as I was looking for a local venue to host my sisters baby shower in 2020. Due to the many lockdowns, we had a number of date changes and the owner, James, was very accommodating and helpful. Love the venue, easy to decorate and will love to use it again in the future

We held a First Aid class at The Living Room in September 2020 and it was brilliant. There was plenty of room for us to socially distance, even with multiple prams inside with us. There is a toilet on the ground floor, plenty of chairs and tables to set up as required, and lots of space. Booking with James was quick and easy, and he was so helpful and friendly. We booked for the evening which meant we got the keys remotely and let ourselves in and locked up afterwards - all went really smoothly, and James was on hand to help when we caused ourselves confusion! Cannot recommend The Living Room enough, and we’ve been trying to come up with excuses to book again! Update: We’ve used The Living Room for a second time now. It’s such a gem of a find, and we’ll keep coming back! Update #2: And again for a third time. It just always works!!

I love this space. I have come here as a participant as well as hosting events here. It's always clean and tidy. Spread over two floors you can start an event upstairs and then have tea breaks downstair with it's kitchen area. Or move from one activity downstairs to another upstairs. I taught a class in the light upstairs room and it had everything I needed. A discussion of essential oils, feminine health and space to create blends. I also booked a photoshoot here. We did photos upstairs but downstairs was great to keep our "stuff" and take breaks. I can definitely recommend it.

I had previously been to the living room for a baby shower. So when it was time to celebrate my daughters first birthday it was the first place I thought of. As well as being in a great location with loads of parking on the side streets. It is a really well kept venue which is reasonably priced. The neutral decor and ability to optimise decoration by hanging them on movable hooks was super handy. We used both upsides and downstairs, which allowed us to have a dedicated children’s section where they could let loose with an entertainer which the adults relaxed and played some games. The owners were really responsive and lovely. I’d use the venue again in an instant.

A modest venue but serves the purpose for a budget party. Especially if you are looking to host children's parties without having to ruin your own house, this is an ideal place which doesn't cost you the earth. We attended a party here. Tables and kitchenette was in the basement, which was quite spacious to accommodate both children and parents. Stairs have gates with child-lock. Heating works fine too. Good place for a party.

The venue is lovely - I organised my baby's first birthday party there and it has everything you need to provide the guests with a good time. The space is nice, the facilities are flexible to adapt to what you need and couldn't ask more of the neighbourhood with easy and free parking available around it (weekend). The owners and also nice people and approachable to answer any questions, doubts, etc - definitely recommend it.

The venue came equipped with chairs, tables and a little kitchenette downstairs which was definitely handy! I would definitely recommend this venue, and would use it again in the future.

We've recently used The Living Room Place for a workshop and have just booked in a further two. The space is bright, airy and clean. Tables and chairs are provided and the kitchen downstairs meant we could offer our participants refreshments without having to do a coffee shop dash. The owners are extremely helpful and the whole process was just about as stress free as it could possibly be. No hesitation in recommending The Living Room for business or private get togethers.

Last Sunday we had rested this property for baby shower party. It was a great experience. The place is cosy and good for up to 30 40 guests. There is a kitchen with fridge, micro and Owen to heat the food etc. James was very prompt with his responses. Will book it again if required.

The living room was a great venue for a bridal shower for a group of 20 of us. The plain backdrop provide a great venue to decorate it with bunting, flowers etc. Bonus was parking was free and also there was space so no one had to walk to far. The lady who showed us around was very nice.

A great little venue - the space is well-suited with two floors and comes equipped with moveable furniture and a small kitchenette so you can really customise it to your activity. The owners were helpful and easy to communicate with. Trying to come up with what we could book it for next!

I have used this lovely place to teach art lectures and workshops. It was really convenient to have the spacious basement for video projection and the ground floor for the workshop or meetings. The main space has high ceiling and is full of light.The place is very clean and decorated with neutral tones, new floors boards, there is a projector, enough tables & chairs, everything is new and in perfect condition. The owners are friendly and helpful. Loved it.
