My wife booked a wine tasting evening with 3 course meal back in Nov 21. I am not the most sociable, so was apprehensive but as soon as we arrived I was immediately put at ease and made to feel welcome by Marco and Helen. We had a fantastic time. The wine (flowed) was amazing and I actually found a red I like (almost). The food was great and the introduction of a little quiz (competitive streak - engage) was a nice touch. We definitely want to do this again and look forward to normality returning. Great value for money and amazing hosts. Thank you both.

What an amazing experience we had with Marco our resident wine expert & sommelier. We drank 6 beautiful wines selected & served by Marco himself. Then we learnt about the individual wines & history. Everyone had a fabulous & very relaxed evening. Highly recommend for either your work team & your friends. We will definitely be doing this again. It’s great to be knowledgeable about what we drink. Yet another great night with Marco. Yet another great evening with Marco. Food, drink, Marco’s extensive knowledge, fabulous venue and a great group of people to enjoy it all with. What more could you ask for. We attended Marco’s latest Club Vino event at King Street Townhouse, Manchester. What a great evening out! Marco has again managed to provide a wine tasting event that is fun, educational and excellent value for money. His passion and knowledge of wine is amazing. Marco has the ability to be informative and entertaining at the same time. You listen, you taste, you ask questions and make comments, as they occur to you, he makes your contribution part of the evening This event was a wonderful three course meal with the opportunity to taste eight different wines, a welcome drink and seven perfectly paired with the courses. I have never seen so many wine glasses on a dining table. The whole experience gets better as the evening continues. The bottles continue to be opened. Don’t forget your smartphone, you will need it to take part in the interactive part of the evening; don’t worry you will be very relaxed by the stage! Looking forward to the next one. I attended Marco’s ‘California Dreaming’ Event In August with a couple of work friends and thought it was a phenomenal start to the weekend! From the moment we stepped through the door we were made to feel welcome and the hospitality, conversation and wine flowed continuously throughout the evening. We were welcomed with a drink while we waited for the group of around 15 to assemble. It was great to see that the evening attracted a real mix of ages and groups, from young couples to retirees. Marco opened with a talk around California as a wine growing region and peppered his talk with answers to questions people had asked him during the welcome drink. This demonstrated his expertise and tailored the event to our interests. His talk was engaging, informative and witty and I left with a lot more understanding of wine production and what to look for when I’m buying (very handy!) My friend said one of the wines was the best he’s ever had and I have to say the same about the brie on the charcuterie board. The atmosphere was exactly what I wanted. It was relaxed, friendly and fun - there was a fast-paced quiz at the end which everyone had a good laugh about, and the nibbles kept me busy most of the night. Overall it was an exceptional night. I’ve been to several wine tastings before and this was by far the best in terms of delivery, quality, atmosphere and value. I will definitely be going again and recommend it to anyone still reading (if you’ve got this far, you know you want to!)

Had the most amazing wine tasting with Club Vino for their California dreaming night. Where to even begin?! Great John Street hotel was such a great venue the food was amazing and so accommodating for me and my gluten intolerance. Marco was such a great host and I learnt so much about the history of America and California wines. Such a fun little quiz at the end where we ended up winning some wine to take home 😍 Can’t wait to be able to do another evening with Club Vino (Yes this is super late forgive me)

I thoroughly enjoyed California Dreaming. I've been to wine tasting events before,but this was an experience. A great one. From the warm prosecco welcome, the quality charcuterie and of course the excellent wine and considerably more than a thimble full. The host, Marco is so knowledgeable, but he imparts his knowledge in an accessible way. I learnt about Californian wines in beautiful surroundings, with lovely people and great tasting wine. I would highly recommend this and I'll be going to others

An excellent evening, both entertaining and educational. Learned so much about the various wines, the wineries and the background to them, without it feeling like a lesson, more a conversation. The pairing with the different courses was perfect, and the kind of combinations I'd never have thought of. The group was big enough to make for interesting company, but not so big it felt "corporate" Will definitely look out for further tastings.
