The White Closet was the first bridal store I visited, and the last - I found my dream dress on my first appointment! I couldn't have had a more lovely experience there and I highly recommend it to any brides to be. The dresses are stunning, as is the shop itself, and everyone who works there is really friendly and knowledgeable. I was so nervous about my appointment and had no idea what to expect, but they put me at ease the moment I arrived. My completion appointment was also brilliant, and although my measurements had changed due to me losing weight they were super helpful and gave clear alteration instructions for me to give to a seamstress. The only feedback I could give to make the experience even better would be if they had an in-house seamstress. They did offer lots of seamstress recommendations, but I think their knowledge of the designers, the fabric and the fit was far, far better than the seamstress I went to, and I did find myself wishing that I had someone with that expertise there when my adjustments were being made. That's my only feedback and overall I can't fault a thing - thanks so much and can't wait to wear my dress next month x

I had a genuinely wonderful experience from start to finish at The White Closet. I had no idea where to start with finding a wedding dress and Millie made me feel really comfortable, explained the vibes and styles of the the different designers and guided me brilliantly - she is clearly really passionate and skilled in the world of bridal fashion so I quickly knew I was in safe hands! Millie actually picked out the gown I ended up wearing and I can’t imagine having worn any other dress. The selection of designers TWC carries is brilliant and I found being in the shop really relaxing and lovely - especially with a glass of fizz! I was also on a tight timeline of c.4 months and Millie was great at guiding me to the dresses that could definitely be delivered in time and managing all the timings for spacing my appointments so it worked. I got my dress in plenty of time and even had time to fit in an accessories appointment, which was equally brilliant. Thank you so much Millie and Lucy! I would recommend The White Closet in a heartbeat.

The most amazing experience. I have dreamt of going to The White Closet for my wedding dress since I first saw the shop many years ago, and the service and over all experience did not disappoint. Me and my family still talk about my appointment now and how perfect it was and I simply cannot wait to go back and to collect my dress! Lucy is simply wonderful, nothing was too much to ask and her knowledge of the brands, attention to detail and suggestions were so helpful in finding the one! A couple of days ago I visited The White Closet with my mum, step daughter and best friend for my first ever bridal appointment. I was really nervous but Natalie immediately put me at ease, took her time explaining about all the designers, and was really patient with me. The selection of dresses available is fantastic and Natalie was really helpful in offering suggestions without being pushy and with her expertise I found the one!!! Visited the White Closet for my first bridal appointment ever. The dress selection is really beautiful and unique and the service was lovely. I was assisted by Alice who was so helpful and patient - I had some idea what I wanted and they made really great suggestions - including a dress I would never normally pick that I ended up loving. Alice also made suggestions based on hearing me talk about what I loved/didn't like about other dresses, so I felt like I was really being listened to and I was being helped by someone really knowledgable. There was no pressure at all to purchase and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a fun first appointment :)

I had my first bridal dress fitting at The White Closet and it was an absolute dream. I had the lovely Natalie who eased my anxieties, whilst also making me feel special and excited to try on the dresses. Natalie made sure that I didn't pull any dresses out of my budget and she didn't rush me to make a decision on the day, recommending that we took some time to think as it was my first time trying on dresses (even though I knew I had found the one). I couldn't recommend The White Closet enough and I can't wait to continue working with them over the next year :)

Lucy was really helpful at my first appointment and talked me through the different designers they stocked. TWC know who they are as a brand and have carefully selected the designers and gowns. Lucy listened to what I was looking for and by understanding this she made some great suggestions of additional dresses for me to try alongside the ones I had selected myself. We discussed my budget so she made sure I was trying options that were within that. Being really knowledgable about the designers and bespoke options available presented further options I hadn’t considered and she gave her honest opinion about the dresses I was trying. She was really friendly and her being so nice settled my nerves and made it a really enjoyable experience. The store is lovely and I would definitely recommend for any bride-to-be looking for a more modern look.

The best selection of wedding dresses of all the bridal shops I visited. I loved trying on all the incredible designs. The ladies put together two stunning outfits and they were just perfect. I had a freak out after collecting my dress, as due to COVID it had been a year since I’d chosen my dress and was worried it wasn’t fitting right. However Millie was very understanding and fitted me in for a last minute appointment, and she thankfully reassured me - and the dress of course fitted perfectly after minor adjustments. I had a great experience. The White Closet is a must-visit!

Great selection of dresses so really great for finding something a bit more unusual that you won't see other people wearing the same year. They’ve got it spot on with their curation of designers. It well thought through with a variety but without being overbearing. I was given plenty of time to and didn't feel pressured in the slightest to buy. Their website is fab and I got a great idea of the designers they stock so I went into my appointment knowing their styles were exactly what I was looking for. The appointment was easy to book on their website. The shop itself is beautiful and cosy with great lighting and big mirrors. Lucy was great and talked me through all the designers and helped me pick out a few styles to try and then working through, building on what I liked to find the one! I went to one other shop after but only stayed 20 minutes as it really didn’t match up. My maid of honour and I were raving about the shop and the dress all afternoon! Trying on wedding dresses at the White Closet was a great experience. The quality of all dresses is amazing, and they all look very special. This is a stunning little boutique in the heart of West Didsbury. From my first phonecall I felt welcomed and special. I was looked after by Molly who is a charming and professional person. I was nervous and she made me feel really at ease, whilst also getting along like a house on fire with my brothers (who are my bridesmaids). The shop is clean, beautiful and classy and the dresses are stunning. I was given a full explanation of each designer and Molly helped me pick out some really beautiful designs. Millie who owns the shop helped me at my appointment and she was amazing. It was the first place I tried on a dress and she was so helpful and kind. I didn’t know what to expect following the new restrictions but she made sure my mum and I was well looked after and comfortable, even with the new measures in place (gloves, face mask, distance) it didn’t feel odd at all. She talked me through each designer and what I’m looking for and encouraged me to try things I wouldn’t normally try which ended up being one of my favourite dresses. She styled each dress perfectly and kept going back so I could try on new styles. At the end of the appointment she didn’t pressure me to buy anything at all, she wrote down my favourite designs and said they would welcome me back whenever I liked. I would definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back to have another wonderful experience.

They went out of their way to make sure we got an appointment during the trunk show I wanted to see and were overall just so lovely. The two ladies, Millie and the owner were so helpful and friendly and very informative. Firstly I have to say that Lucy was excellent, helping me to find my way through the wonderful range of styles and pieces. The boutique lives up to its strap-line of 'Celebrating Style, Not Convention', and she helped me to find *that* beautiful dress, just right for me. Being able to have my daughters present on Zoom was also a big plus and Lucy took the trouble of making sure that they had a good view of the items I tried on, protecting my privacy in between. The missing stars are down to two things - the powder room was in a state, with used toilet paper unflushed in the loo and a large bin full of used paper towels, no fresh towels seemed to be available. The second issue is the proximity of the changing area to the door on to the street. The bell went a few times and on one occasion a lengthy conversation took place rather than asking the enquirer to come back later. The salon is small and these things can be hard to manage but given the kind of wedding dresses sold here it was a surprise to feel exposed to what was going on at the front of the shop. The wedding dresses are high end designer pieces, the experience didn't quite match - apart from Lucy's care and attentiveness.

Oh where do I start?! My experience of The White Closet couldn't have been more perfect - it was everything I hoped that finding my wedding dress would be and more! Millie is just so lovely - friendly, honest & down to earth with a great eye for detail & styling that I really valued. I felt like I was in safe hands with her from beginning to end. The range of dresses is fantastic, I found 'the one' pretty quickly but could have probably found 20 more! Plus, the shop is decorated beautifully - I felt like a VIP the whole time and couldn't recommend it more highly. I couldn't recommend this boutique enough. From the first visit, the customer service has been outstanding, and I actually ended up purchasing a dress suggested to me by one of the team which I might not have tried on without her encouragement! The team truly know how to make the whole experience positive and enjoyable, and it was a really fantastic part of my wedding planning. I ended up moving from Manchester down South the week after my first fitting, and they were able to complete all my minor alterations and steam the dress ready for me to pick up before I moved, which they didn't need to do but which was greatly appreciated. A beautiful shop and fantastic service, not to mention they stock only the most exciting bridal designers and accessories.
