A really nice place to stay, I spent a week here in February 2018 Just missed the snow unfortunately. The house it’s self is really nice and has a huge set of grounds to explore. There’s a lovely big fire place in the sitting room. With a amazing view of the grounds and sheep grazing. So peaceful. Would definitely recommend to families. The kids spent hours playing hide and seek.

Our stay at Capheaton Hall is one of my best vacations in 76 years. We traveled over 4000 miles from St. Pete Beach, Fl USA, to this idyllic magnificent estate. Our accommodations were everything perfect. Willy and Eliza Swinburne are most exceptional hosts/owners. Louise who helps run the estate is so helpful and friendly. Located in Northumberland, England, North of Newcastle, we found it convenient for all our days trips touring this most magnificent part of England. The rolling beautiful countryside is peppered with castles, cathedrals, history, and everywhere we toured, ate, and visited we were greeted by the most sociable and caring people.
