My band Boys of Brass and I made our first visit to the venue for a Thursday night wedding. Not too far from the Toon for once which made a change! It certainly is a very nice place. We felt as gigs go it didn't quite work too well, because the bar was outside of the big barn we played in, as was the outdoor area used to serve the (absolutely awesome) pizza. From that viewpoint there were arguably too many places for punters to go, ultimately away from the action. Maybe that's a big positive for some potential bookings. Feedback all round was brilliant, which is always encouraging. Drinks prices are standard and in this instance card only. It's highly popular so get in there quick.

A truly exceptional venue. My daughters wedding day could have been a stressful time, there is so much to plan and so much to do on the day, however the management and staff at Healey barn made the whole thing a breeze! The personal touch from them is incredible - they do so much for you - you just turn up, eat, drink, dance and have fun! The food was brilliant (we had steak for the main meal and pizza on the evening) and it's no exaggeration to say that everyone was delighted with it! If anyone from Healey Barn read this then can I just thank you for giving us a day which honestly could not have been better!

Our daughter's wedding was held at Healey Barn on Friday and honestly we could not fault the venue at all!! The food was lovely- canapes delicious!- and the whole organisation of the event was faultless!I was particularly impressed with the professional approach of the staff and the way everyone worked together seamlessly to provide an unforgettable experience for all our guests- the comments at the end of the night were amazing!Our sincere thanks- if we had another daughter we'd be back!!

Healey Barn's staff were incredible from start to finish. They made every aspect of planning so easy and we were so touched with how they looked after us and our loved ones on the wedding day. We did not have to think of anything and they guided us through it all with such enthusiasm and care. The venue itself is stunning and needs very little decoration which saves on a lot of money and organisation. The food was outstanding and served in such a relaxed and attractive style, A few even said it was one of the best meals they had ever had which is high praise indeed for a wedding meal! We wish we could do it all over again - If you want the perfect stress free, barn wedding in gorgeous Northumbrian countryside - Healey is the venue for you!

I was at a wedding here couple of weeks back, it's a beautiful place with stunning grounds. The place is in the middle of nothing so it's quite remote it's £5 for a pint and a spirit and £9 for a double but a beautiful venue for a wedding with it's high ceilings and Scrumptious food definitely a place to see if your getting married are having a special occasion.

Beautiful venue in beautiful surroundings. The decor of the building was very well suited for the wedding we attended. The bar was a very unique copper layered counter top. The courtyard was very spacious and well laid out with furniture and fire pits which were lit at night.

Wow, what an amazing venue to host a wedding! As guests we were incredibly impressed bybthe quality of the venue, the food, staff and general atmosphere altogether. It was also surprisingly great for the kids to play safely within an enclosed space, allowing patents to truly relax in the knowledge there was nowhere they could go or no way to get into mischief. A perfect spot for a wedding or other family celebration.

By far the best decision we made during the whole planning process, they were phenomenal. From start to finish they had everything in hand, we felt totally relaxed during the whole process. We were planning for 18 months and in that time the venue was constantly improving ... we already thought they were pretty perfect so were always surprised when they got better and better! on the day they just blew us away, I'm very emotional and can easily be stressed or anxious, I was worried about being rushed and overwhelmed but that couldn't be further from what I felt. Our coordinator for the day Fran was amazing.... I had absolutely nothing to worry about, from the moment I pulled up in the car I felt totally at ease, I didn't feel bombarded with information, there was no chaos, just relaxed and left to enjoy the day... really really can't thank her enough! Weeks passed and we were still getting people come up to us saying how good the day was, no word of a lie I lost count of how many people said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. The food, the flowers, the fire pits... everything was just exactly how we imagined it... it was better than we ever could have hoped for.

We were married at Healey Barn on the 24th May 2021 after 2 postponements due to the pandemic. All through the pandemic they kept in touch with us and were so accommodating to the ever changing restrictions. And on the day they made us and ours guests feel very safe. We originally booked Healey Barn in 2018 for our original date in 2020 and they were a pleasure to deal from the start. Healey Barn was the first venue we visited and we fell in love immediately. We felt the venue was perfect as is and didn't require decoration. After we finished our viewing as soon as we got home we booked it and we're so glad we did! Right from start all staff members we spoke with were so helpful in helping planning our day and we cannot fault the way they have dealt with the pandemic. We feel so lucky to have had such a great quality of customer service and couldn't recommend them more. In the run up to our day and all throughout everyone was so helpful and kept the day running very smoothly. The atmosphere in the barn and surrounding area is stunning and so many lovely photo opportunities! The food was a massive added bonus, we fell in love with the menu, but unfortunately never got a chance to go to one of their feast nights so we felt we took a gamble with the menu but it definitely paid off - all our guests commented how amazing the food tasted which we were really pleased with! We honestly can't thank Healey Barn enough for making our special that little bit more special and would 100% recommend this venue to anyone looking at getting married. We hope we get the change to go back there one day!

Healey Barn is a superb venue with an outstanding standard of food. We loved the feast night before the wedding to help us choose our menu and the venue was very helpful when we had to rearrange the wedding due to covid. There is a great outdoor area that includes a pizza oven and fire pits, a very pleasant dining room and stunning barn for the wedding and band. We feel that our experience could have been a five star experience if the Healey team provided a higher standard of service. There were a number of things we felt could have been managed better, for example we had our final pre wedding catch up only 2 days prior to the wedding and our cake and leftover cheese was not very well packed after the event. We found the early evening reasonably stressful as we had to liase with the band and make sure that the cake cutting happened as we were running late. There were some parts of our day that wouldn't have happened had we not made sure they happened which we felt the venue staff should have been organising. Overall, we had a great day at Healey and the team were helpful, particularly Charlotte our day manager but some areas could have been better.

A beautiful venue with brilliant staff My husband and I have had the pleasure of having two celebrations at Healey Barn - our first official marriage ceremony last year with our immediate families and our larger wedding celebrations with all of our family and friends a year later. The Healey Barn staff have been amazing from start to finish, especially during the Covid pandemic. Everything we asked for and discussed with the staff was perfectly provided on both occasions - the small details which meant a lot to us were perfectly prepared by the staff on the day. The food served is some of the best we’ve ever had and several guests commented on how good it was! We had the pizzas on the evening and these were fantastic too. Our day to day contacts Jack & Leanne have been particularly helpful and have made the whole process easy & enjoyable! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone!

We got married here last week, and everything was perfect. I'm not exaggerating. It was perfection itself. My wife wanted a beautiful venue to get married, and my only criteria was that she'd love it even if it rained on the day. Healey Barn fit the bill, and I was sold immediately by the smells of the fire pits and the tea lights in the ceremony room. From the moment we booked, to the day itself we were in constant communication with the Healey team, who were always quick to respond and very helpful. They were the perfect mix of professional but relaxed - letting us know that everything was under control, but that we could pop in at a day's notice to check out certain things about the venue. We went to the feast night to try the menu, which was an incredible experience in it's self, and that helped us plan a menu and get a vibe for the meals. In the run up to the big day, the team were very informative, and Charlotte called the day before to triple check details. On the day, she guided everything through my groomsmen and was fantastic. We wanted a beautiful wedding with a relaxed vibe and good food. We got a wedding that was genuinely more incredibly than I could possibly imagine, with every guest having an amazing experience. Many have gone on to say it was the best wedding they'd ever been too. As it happens, we were forecast thunderstorms all day. We got lucky, but even during the rainy periods, this venue was perfect. Thank you again Charlotte and the rest of the Healey team. We had the best day of our lives.

Healey Barn is a stunning venue set in beautiful countryside. When we were first looking at wedding venues it was the stand out from online searches, the pictures speak for themselves but seeing it in person was even better. It’s absolutely stunning. Once booked, the whole process was an absolute breeze from start to finish, the team are so friendly and helpful that we never had any stress at any point. There are cheaper venues but for everything you get here it’s well worth it. When it came to our actual wedding day, Charlotte, Doug and the whole team were great and made sure we didn’t have to worry about anything. The food was amazing and the portions were properly generous, and there were a lot of compliments about it. The licence is until 1am too which seemed a bit later than other places. Highly recommended.

We went there as guests to a wedding, and the place is absolutely stunning with a gorgeous and quintessential English countryside backdrop ! The staff were so friendly, polite and helpful. The place couldn't be easier to get - off the A1, into the A69, first exit into the A69, drive down a bit then turn into the road for Healey ! 20 mins from the A1.

Fantastic service and a wonderful wedding day. At no point did we feel like customers or that we were being made to fit what they wanted to provide rather than what was personal to us. On the day when a few things went wrong (from external suppliers we'd booked) the staff went above and beyond to troubleshoot and look after our guests. The food is the reason we chose the venue and it didn't disappoint - we got more comments about the potatoes than the bride! If you haven't picked your wedding venue yet and you want something that is unique and different then this place is for you! We got married here on the 16th of August 2017 and we had 50 daytime and 100 nighttime guests. From the very start, the team at Healey Barn were very professional and offered a service that went above and beyond expectations. I have worked in the wedding industry before and know that some venues can make you feel like your on a production line but the staff at Healey Barn really go out of their way to make you feel that your day is the most important. They have an online system that makes contact easy and nothing was a bother to the team. Our guests have talked about how beautiful the place is and our wedding pictures reflect this. Everyone fell in love with this venue and it is easy to see why. The food is served generously and the roast potatoes were the best I have ever tasted!! We had the ham and cheese buffet and it was all gone, which was a pleasure to see. Thank you thank you thank you!! What can I say that hasn't already been said about this venue and the team that runs it?! My husband and I are still on cloud 9 and cannot get over what a perfect day we had thanks to all at Healey. We stumbled upon an open morning by chance in January and fell in love with the place- it is warm and welcoming with amazing views and everyone I spoke to raved about the food- we booked there and then and never looked back! The whole booking process was easy and broken down so clearly, their online communication system is so efficient and it meant that both my husband and I were in the loop, very handy as he works away! We met with staff 6 months before the wedding to plan finer details and no matter who you spoke to everyone is so knowledgeable and pays a genuine interest in making your wedding perfect for you. I know a lot of couples worry about "wedding factories" but Healey is not one of those places, they have vast experience which means everything runs so smoothly, I really felt I was in the hands of experts and no task or question was too small or frivolous- they make you feel like the only wedding they host all year! The food is outstanding and the family style serving meant people can choose what they like and have as much or as little as they want, so many guests commented that they hadn't had such good food in a long time- and this was 2 days after Christmas! So many people commented on the beauty of the place and how the informality helps add an atmosphere of ownership- you can leave the barn as it is or really make it or own and represent you as a couple. The bar staff are knowledgeable and friendly too, helping to build the party atmosphere for the evening- I honestly cannot tell you how pleased we are that we had our wedding here, the staff are friendly, kind and nothing is too much -they are professional to the end and they are the backbone that will make your day exactly how you dream it to be, perhaps the highest accolade I could tell you is that the best man asked permission for his wedding to be there too- not yet engaged but they must have done something right!! Where do I begin with Healey Barn. The Venue itself speaks volumes its outstanding, the more you go the more you notice. Leanne and the team have been amazing, we booked over 18 months ago and feel like we have been dealing with Friends and Family in the barn oppose to being customers. Everything about the Barn is stunning, the views, the design, and the atmosphere and that’s even before your guests are there. They have such a handy notes system, once you book no emails back and forth, just a notes system all in one place and history to double check, their online platform makes life so much easier. The build up to the wedding we always got invited to feast evenings (which you have to go to food is outstanding and good to catch up with fellow people getting married share and suggest suppliers) We thoroughly enjoyed it. The planning prior is effortless, you sit down, discuss your day one to one. We had Charlotte, which is a wedding fanatic, which really helped us add bits, move things around and plan our day better. We set the barn up, we were lucky, I had my best men to support but Leanne and the team were there to help and muck in if we wanted, which I thought was nice touch, give them a plan and they’ll do the rest! You can ask anything, anytime, and the guys will get back to you within hours Some venues I have heard horror stories about them being like production lines of brides and grooms, Healey Barn is the polar opposite to that, yes, they are getting busier but they have not lost their personal touch feeling, We were always greeted by name when visiting on open days etc. The big day itself, wow simply unreal, better then me or my now wife could have ever imagined, we were gifted with amazing sunny weather in the middle of Feb and it just set the mood for the day. Everything ran to time, even with a few sneaky photos to capture the amazing sunset. The Brides room is such a nice touch, we had a few moments to take everything in after walking back up the aisle as husband and wife and Charlotte even brought us a drink and canapes so we had chance to have a quick bite to eat – they really do think of everything. The food was phenomenal, we had so many compliments on the day from guests, even the photographers and videographers were over the moon with their food, the father of the bride added it to his speech! Even a week later we are still getting comments on how good the food is at Healey Barn – I cannot stress enough how good our wedding breakfast was! Overall Healey Barn is phenomenal, it’s a very unique and beautiful place, which is ran by very caring, dedicated and genuine people If you are looking at this venue, then don’t hesitate, go and visit the team and have a look for yourself it is truly a special place to create so many wonderful and lifelong memories in

The rebuilt former derelict farm on a very narrow road near the village of Slaley is an excellent place for a wedding. A former stone barn for the service, a large dining room, court yard and other facilities. Plenty of car parking. Wood land and open grass areas for photographs.

What a perfect location for the best day of our life! Our wedding was on 18th November 2018, and we could not have wished for a more amazing day! From booking the wedding all the way to the wedding day itself, we had a great experience with all the staff that helped us along the way! Unfortunately we had to cancel our first wedding date in August, due to unforeseen circumstances with the home office, and we can’t thank all the kind hearted staff at Healey barn enough for all the help that followed! A special thanks goes out to the lovely Charlotte who kept in touch with us during this difficult time and helped us to reorganise our dream day! I dont think I could thank the staff at Healey Barn enough for all the hard work they put in to making our wedding day perfect. We were looked after all day by Leanne and Charlotte and then Jack looked after us in the evening. I was insanely nervous and they made sure I had water to sip and kept me calm. My husband went early in the morning to set up and he said everyone was very helpful so that he could finish quickly. The food is simply incredible. They hold taster evenings at different times in the year and I highly recommend attending one. If the beauty of the venue and the friendly nature of the staff doesnt make you want to book, their food certainly will. I didnt have to think about the running of the day at all. We were able to fully enjoy our day with eachother and our families thanks to the all of the staff. From day one, nothing was too much trouble and were always very quick to answer any queries we had (and we were pretty clueless... so there was ALOT of queries). Healey Barn, Amazing beyond belief! The most beautiful location, staff that cannot do enough for you and the most perfect setting a bride and groom could ask for. We got married here on Saturday 23 Feb 19 and from the first viewing we have been kept updated and guided all the way through and during our special day. Everything ran so smoothly and stress free and every single one of our guests commented on how seamlessly the day went. 100% reccomend Healey Barn for your big day. Loved every minute and wish I could do it all over again.

What a great venue. We were guests at a wedding here. Very clever layout of buildings with plenty of space if it's too busy at the bar or dance floor. Pizzas made throughout the night in case you get peckish from busting moves... Beer not overly pricey like some wedding venues are. Really helpful friendly staff too. Overall - 5 stars from me.
