I joined the Beginner's Navigation training day with Peak Adventures and found it really helpful. I couldn't read a map or use a compass at all before this, but by the end of the day, I had learnt enough to navigate and feel confident doing it. I'm surprised to have learnt so much in just 1 day. Simon is a great teacher and I found it helpful to be given a set of notes to take away and personalised feedback at the end of the course. I'll definitely be booking onto the intermediate level too once I've practiced my new skills a bit more. Thanks Peak Adventures!

My first course with Peak Adventures - introduction to map reading/orienteering. Very well organised and very well managed - felt safe every minute. A fantastic introduction to navigating with map and compass, which was a full day with interesting and challenging sections. Simon, the instructor, took time to explain in detail and at a pace that our group of 4 appreciated. As a complete beginner I feel confident that I can now begin to explore outdoors and find my way back! Already looking at dates for the intermediate course.

Completed my Beginners Navigation Day with Peak Adventures in July. As part of a small group, the amount of tuition per-person was excellent. Everyone was given plenty of opportunities to put their new navigation skills into practice and the refresher notes have really helped me to keep my map reading up to speed before I book my next step - Intermediate Navigation! Our leader, Simon, was approachable, had excellent knowledge and ensured our group was well supported all day. Would thoroughly recommend.

Very glad I joined Peak Adventures for a fantastic guided walk of Dragon's Back. The walk itself is stunning and accommodates all levels of fitness and experience. The group was a great mix of people and Simon's knowledge, expertise and stories and history of the area really made for a fantastic day out. I'm looking forward to the next walk with them!

Thoroughly enjoyed my first trek with Peak Adventures along the Horseshoe Walk in the Brecon Beacons tackling 4 peaks in one day. The leaders knew the route very well, setting the pace suitable for the group and telling some interesting facts and stories along the way. I particularly liked the different difficulty levels so you could choose which peaks you felt comfortable to do. Pepsi, the small Maltease/Jack Russel was a great mascot, keeping us company along the way and showing us that we could do it if she can. As every great walk does, it ended with a quick stop at the local pub on the way home for a well earned refreshing cider. Looking forward to the next Peak Adventure 🏞️😁

Simon and Nina are great guides, they are very friendly and accommodating. I really enjoyed our walk along the Dragons Back in the Black Mountains. I would highly reccomend their walks for both newbies and more experiences walkers.
