One of my favourite places to visit in Northampton, and a photographer's dream with its Gothic architecture. I've wanted to shoot a wedding here for a long time - and yesterday was that day

We attended our good friends wedding here, it was such a beautiful day and we had a great experience. The building has some stunning architecture details. The main room has a real state of grandeur about it, everywhere you look is packed with wonderful décor. If you're thinking about getting married here, I would highly recommend it.

Was Best Man for a friend's wedding here and is a great venue - one of the most elegant buildings in Northampton. Thr Council chamber is classy and not overblown. Really good for the vows and ceremony. The interior tasteful and well put together. Staff were helpful and the officiating lady balanced pathos with brevity well. The exterior worked well for photos and I was impressed that one of Northampton's finest buildings (that I've walked past many times) lived up to its look.

This is such a beautiful building and very well maintained both in and out. Looking around this as a possible venue for a wedding you get to see all the rooms and walk around the corridors and it is so lovely to see how much the staff genuinely love the building too. Every where is really clean and polished has such history to see. We are very lucky too have a building like this in our town.

The Guildhall is one of the most beautiful edifices in Northampton. Its beautiful both indoor and outdoor, it's a building that when you pass ye it you will be tempted to look back again. The architectural design was excellent. It's a place to visit in order to appreciate its internal beauty too. Apart from that its a place well looked after and serves various capacities as the sit of power in Northampton. It's a time-consuming effort to extol all its value; the best is I can do is to let everyone know that it's a place worth visiting. Seen is believing.

Fantastic for a tour so if you have the opportunity please visit. The tour takes in the key meeting rooms and halls. Some of the artwork is excellent and the Mayoral silverware and gold items are exquisite. The cellars are particularly interesting especially the holding cells for past transgressors.

We attended a wedding here, the place looked good with high ceiling and old world charm. The service was done well and was quite quick. The place at the front is great for a photo shoot with high frontage and large wooden doors with steps leading down to the street.

Great place architecturally and holds some great memories. I have been here for Christmas Parties, which were great. I also came to The Guildhall for my university graduation. Its where I got gowned up and came back for photos after the ceremony. A great place.

We got married here in October 2018. It was a small and simple wedding with 30 guests on a Wednesday afternoon but everything the staff did to help us organise it and get all the legal stuff sorted was just as attentive as if we were spending a fortune. They made it easy and stress-free, really talked us through everything and even made the ceremony funny and light-hearted which is exactly what we wanted. The room we got married in looked much uglier in the photos but once inside for real it was actually quite beautiful so we were glad we got a photographer for it. We would recommend the Guildhall to other couples, especially for adding a bit of grandeur to a small wedding.

A stunning building inside and outside. I love the quasi Venetian Palace style older exterior, covered in symbols and carved scenes that represent the times Parliament met in Northampton, the great fire of Northampton, the crest of the Washington family that inspired the flag of the United States of America,... and so much more! Inside is beautiful too - and for those who know where to look you can see the subtle indicators where the oldest part of the building was extended, with even more grandeur, during the 19th Century. The interior sees the Victorian love of the gothic and drama running riot and topped with beautiful glass in the ceiling of the Great Hall and references in the corridor carved decorations to the firemen and Police who once used the building. Beneath the old court room, on some days you can visit the cells, the kitchen and the room once used as a bit of a morgue, and more! Well worth a visit.

A beautiful building which has a large varity of services on the inside. It is lacking a real attraction for normal people. But it is a great venue for music and for weddings. It is not really worth the visit normally unless it is easy for you to just pop in and see.

Part of Northampton's great institution. This magnificent venue reflects our distinguished past. My Dog is an official companion Dog. However, I think eventually the administration will consider letting well trained and well behaved dogs in on appropriate occasions.

First time to Northampton and went past this stunning building. Happen to go inside and is great that Northampton council has looked after this place so well. You can see an extension but it's In keeping g with the style of the original building.

Accessible history. If you are into amazing old buildings that have not been messed about, be sure to go inside and have a look around. They don't even charge.
