Reviews of The Forum
D. M.
Always plenty to do here depending on which day it is especially Thursday and/or Friday. There are leaflets and catalogues that tells you what's on at any one time and not least the internet of course, innit.
S. M.
This place is lovely. The building has such a beautiful view. The library is large and staff are friendly. I mostly use their audiobooks. But it feels so good to sit upstairs and enjoy the view while you are reading a book as well. There is a cafe and restaurant too. They often have exhibitions in the large hall at the entrance. In front of the building you often see someone playing music. It’s just behind the large market. They also have a good parking.

Makers Festival
Very interesting to see and lots of people to help you learn
G. G.
I stopped by today to see the Gaming Festival and it was better than I imagined it could be. There was loads to do and people to speak to about the industry.
L. Y.
Bright and airy feel, nice restaurant and cafe, great library, nice shop for trinkets and Norwich-themed gifts, great art exhibitions sometimes. Downsides are (1) there's almost always a queue for the ladies loos at the weekend - suggest that they have too few loos for the demand, (2) the parent and child parking spaces are no wider than standard parking spaces which means that you can't open car doors wide to make it easier to get kids/baby car seats in and out, and (3) only 1 lift which means there can be a long wait for the lift at busy times - a pain if you are a buggy / pram / wheelchair user or cannot use the stairs for any reason.
L. F.
Been going to the forum since it first opened. Love the extensive library and facilities and it is a great place to use as a meeting place. Toilets have always been clean and nice when o have been in and there is a great atmosphere when there is am event on! A lovely building all round! :)
A. D.
A wonderfully modern piece of glass architecture enclosing the Norwich library. Events such as the Norwich Gaming Festival, open air ice rink and continental fairs can be held within the huge atrium and outside on the large paved area. A very pleasant place to go for a meal or coffee or just to hang out.
K. M.
I work at the forum. Great place to visit.
L. F.
nice and well equipped public library inside, on the 1st floor. It lends books (free of charge) and movies, board games, etc (for a price from 2 pounds). There are always some expositions or events on the ground floor. And also a café upstairs.
C. D.
The architecture of what is on paper a library and a radio station, is astounding. The huge glass exhibition space is always a thriving hub of unique people and creativity day in day out. The forum's exhibition space always has something new to display, and you can almost guarantee that if you turn up on a saturday, you'll love what you see, from car shows to street food festivals and arranged street music with people dancing outside in the fresh air, there's always a brilliant atmosphere here which makes you just want to stick around.

Quite an impressive building that houses the BBC East news studios, a lending library, a venue for hire, a small gift shop, large coffee shop and a Pizza Express restaurant. It's in stark contrast to the Saint Peter Mancroft church opposite. The ground floor occasionally hosts an exhibition but most of the time is underused in such a grand city centre building.
Outside is a spacious plaza, where the coffee shop spills out onto. The paving and steps is popular with skateboarders and young people meeting up with their friends, this area too is host to occasional events during the year but nothing permanent.
Overall though, I wish more was done to make use of this building.

The forum is a great place to visit and hang out. The library is well worth a visit with or without kids. The children's library is brilliant and little ones can run about without fear of upsetting anyone. There are often fayres and/or exhibitions and loads of interesting events.
Marzano's is one of the best cafés in Norwich and there's enough room for all types of visitors from solo pipe smokers to feral families.

Great Public Building
What's not to love? Not only is this a fantastic building to visit and enjoy but it houses a truly great library. Fantastic staff and wonderful facilities. Another bonus for this fine city.
D. T.
Very impressive public space for Norwich. A cool building and very busy. Marzano Cafe had great food and coffee and was a reliable cafeteria style destination for any meal. We visited the 2nd Air Division Memorial Library, in back of the Public Library, which was very educational and enlightening regarding WWII history.

Large building in centre of Norwich
Central library is housed here
As well as multi storey car park, tourist information centre and shop and pizza express
Usually extras going on here too - for example craft fair, Christmas card sale, art display etc
The local BBC news programme Look East is also broadcast from here
O. C.
Brilliant library, archive, and selection of eateries. Big enough to not feel cluttered. Parking is good value if you don't know the free spaces in the city.
M. G.
There is always something going on there which is amazing! Last weekend Forum hosted Xmas theme stalls with lots of beautiful handcrafted goods and also simply stunning exhibition AniMotion. My daughter loves it (me too really).
Thumbs up!
M. H.
I love this place every time I take my 3 year old here. There's constantly something amazing happening and lots of life and things going on. The library itself is wonderful too.
D. H.
Great piece of modern architecture. Makes a good picture with the church opposite. The forum itself holds holds a host of events including the Christmas market, on at the minute. Always a high calibre of sellers present.
J. S. P.

The Forum is a library and social meeting place. The staff are very good and helpful.
It had a coffee bar called Martsarnos and YouCan buy food. It also has a Pizza Express up stairs. These places are very good
M. R.
We're so lucky to have the Forum in Norwich.
After seeing a friend at the BBC, we stopped for a coffee, then pizza, and then finally I went to do some work in the library. All without leaving the building.
The only problem - car parking is expensive. A token system where users could claim an amount of their parking charge if spending money inside would be of benefit.
R. P.
Best library ever. Great selection of not only books but films, music, graphic novels, audiobooks. Lots of space, relexed atmosphere. Friendly helpful staff.
J. A.
The library is good here with a nice coffee shop near the entrance to the forum. There is also a tourist information Pizza Express and the BBC Studios here with a small space for exhibitions

The forum is a brilliant public building. There is always something going on, be it a farmers market outside on Millennium Plain, an exhibition in the main building or events for kids in the library, you won't be bored at the Forum.
M. M.

A. W.
Kids library is amazing. Great rhyme time sessions for little ones. Cafe and pizza express good too
k.
Great Architecture and building layout. Good parking, nice Pizza Express. Bar Marzano, however, very average service.
L. N.
Love the infrastructure, both in and out. There is a cafe in there. The library is brilliant. The kids library has had a revamp.
R. T.
When ever I am in Norwich I visit the Forum as there is usually something on to see and this week was no exception! With the weather being so nice I sat and watched the street entertainers performing during a "Lunch Box" session; Flhip Flhop were brilliant! If it is wet I usually go into Fusion which is Europe's largest permanent digital gallery as there is always something interesting being shown there. Not forgetting the Tourist Information that is always manned by very helpful staff and the Jarrold shop which never fails to get money out of me due to having such unusual gifts for sale. The Millenium Library is also housed in the Forum which is always worth a browse and there are good food and drink outlets as well as toilets on site too!
