I. A.Attended Wedding Reception here. It is in a lovely setting and has ample parking. We had an evening barbecue which was excellent, good choice, including gluten free and vegetarian options. The Bride & Groom said it was a magical experience, and everyone agreed it was an ideal venue. Staff very helpful, spotlessly clean The Garden Room and outside patio area, complemented by large pond and fountain was beautiful. There was another, much larger Wedding being held there, but it is so well thought out and designed that there was no noise from them at all. Recommended.

J. H.Goosedale is such a beautiful and amazing venue throughout. The staff were very professional and polite however there doesn't seem to be a consistent uniform with some staff dressed in a uniform and others just in plain black.
The food was a mix with canapes generally okay, but nothing to shout about in terms of wow factor. Whereas the meal was very nicely cooked and full of flavour.
Look forward to returning here next year for yet another family members wedding
J. W.Beautiful location tucked away, leading up to a peak with great views of the rolling hills. Loved it. Nice and friendly staff. A luxurious venue for classy functions. Chandeliers, AC, dance floor, copious space between tables. There were over 30 tables and we were not cramped. Ample parking space, though a bit tight for SUV's and top of the range Saloons. Best if you travel by coach if your guest list is over 200 people. I must also say that the postcode sends the SAT NAV on a wild goose chase away from the correct route to the entrance. Something needs to be investigated there. Overall I loved the venue. Our function was one that I cannot share photos of, but what you see on the website only gives you a glimpse of how beautiful it really is. Enjoy.

R. C.Venue was amazing before, during & after our wedding. We originally had Sept 2020 which got rescheduled due to the pandemic, Goosedale couldn't do enough in rescheduling our date and finding us another weekend slot, likewise for our May wedding that got moved to August. Special mention to Ben & Lisa for this however all the staff were amazing. It finally went ahead with no restrictions and the day was just what we pictured. Everything was so organised and well thought of and it just made the whole day so relaxing for me and my wife. Everyone was very complimentary on the day, the pictures looked amazing. I can't wait to go back there for our anniversary.

Downside :- The entrance was locked if your function goes over into the night time and the exit was via french doors into the garden which was illuminated however the car park is situated at the opposite side of the building and was pitch black.The visibility was virtually none existent and the ground was uneven leading to the car park very difficult walking or for wheel chairs.

The day was made especially nice by the very helpful and friendly staff. Our assigned contact (Usman, if I recall. It was a very busy evening so my apologies if I have got the name wrong) was available throughout the event, he was very response to any request and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you.

All the guests were asking how we had spotted such an amazing venue. In particular we’d like to thank Ben who was very organised and calm when we were uncertain if the wedding was going ahead with the pandemic. Also we’d like to thank Chris who kept things running so smoothly on the day. It was so magical to have our wedding at Goosedale and the guests were so impressed with the Crystal Hall. The grounds were perfect for photos and we were so glad it could go ahead to give a beautiful end to 2020.

The hospitality industry, especially wedding venues are struggling right now and you have to be willing to meet in the middle to support each other through these challenging times which the venue were more than willing to accommodate and work through with us.
I would recommend this beautiful venue to anyone looking to get married and want to thank you all for making it so special for us.

After having our wedding in Greece cancelled in May we never thought we would find anywhere in this country that would fulfil our dreams- we were so wrong! Goosedale had it all! Even though it is on our doorstep I never knew how truly beautiful it was until I visited it. Their lodges are 5* with amazing views and have everything you could possibly need for your stay. Very modern and stylish managed by the lovely Niamh.
Dominik dealt with the initial booking, made in September 2020, he made sure he took care of us and gave us an absolutely fantastic price during COVID for the original 30 people allowed. During all the changes he kept in contact with me updating me every step of the way when eventually we re-negotiated a price when the numbers dropped to 15! He also offered alternatives if we no longer wanted to go ahead due to the changes- However, we were determined to not have another one cancelled.
On Sunday 25.10.2020 we became husband and wife at this stunning venue!
Both Dominik and Chris went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect- nothing was too much hassle for either of them- Chris went out his way for us and was even adding decorations that I’d decided I wanted on the morning and provided us with batteries for arches and flower garlands, as we forgot them! They made sure everything was just so and stress free for me.
During COVID this venue and its staff have managed to provided us with the most memorable day, everything we wanted and more! We have no regrets and without a doubt it was the perfect day we always wanted!
I want to say to every bride and groom who think they’ll have to postpone their wedding because COVID restrictions won’t allow them to have their perfect special day -
DON’T POSTPONE IT, JUST DO IT!
You can still have an absolutely amazing day, We did! We still have amazing memories, fantastic pictures, we got to cut the cake and enjoy a first dance. Everything was perfect and actually felt somewhat normal in this crazy time ❤️

T. W.Lovely venue. Went there for a friend's wedding and the setting was gorgeous. Would have been 5 stars but a member of staff was showing people round and using our wedding party section as a cut through. Just seemed a bit off to me.

D. K.I had this for 2 pre-wedding parties and have attended further weddings at this venue.
Its VERY expensive, the timings are quite strict, the hall/marquee and lounge bar is nice and the outer area is good to have open in the summer.
The manager's are OK, the service was there but, for what you pay you do expect them to go the extra mile which they don't. Also don't take a low slung super car up the long pebble path, there's a lot of dips which need filling.

Y. T.Not the best of locations if you are coming from Nottingham, It's some distance.
If you factor out the distance then it is a great place to hold a function, like a wedding reception. Lots of space, beautiful scenery inside and outside and lots of parking space too.
S. K.We had our wedding reception there on 12.10.19. I can honestly say it was most wonderful day of my life. Goosedale team make my dreams come true, and it was worth every penny we spend. We also had a chance to stay at theirs new lodges and it was a breathtaking experience. I’m already planning to book it again for a short break.
I will recommend Goosedale to everyone I can as I can’t even describe how amazing I felt. For 24 h you change my life into a fairytale.

T. W.Great venue for large weddings - I attended a wonderful "Indian-style" Wedding (approx >400 guests) here. The Goosedale Conference Centre had everything needed - a smaller hall is perfect for the civil ceremony, there are large separate rooms for the bride & grooms families if required, and a very large banqueting room (with tented ceiling) for the religious ceremony and celebrations. It is surrounded by open fields, so was great for wedding photos and celebratory fireworks. The facilities also seemed to work well for the outside caterers, who provided excellent food.
