Visited the gardens to view the snowdrops in season. The gardens were very well tended and the snowdrops plentiful and beautiful. Also an abundance of these lovely flowers in the woods. Thoroughly enjoyed our tranquil walk.

We had a lovely visit to this historic house. Enjoyed a chat with the owner.Worth a visit if you are staying at Thoresby Hall. The properties were owned by the same family in the past and the owner is happy to tell you all about this. Despite awful weather on our visit the winter garden was really beautiful. Gorgeous display of snowdrops and other early flowers.

A beautiful and well maintained garden that I'm sure looks superb through the seasons. The house is magnificent, but I'm pleased not to have the heating bills.

Beautiful setting for a wedding. Gorgeous grounds and lovely rooms so that there could be dancing in one, talking in another. A family home which is a privilege to use, and the oldest brick built building in Nottingham.
You can visit the grounds or garden only. Heartily recommend seeing the snowdrops in February and gardens at other times of the year.

Lovely hall, really nice gardens to walk in, great wedding location

Perfect venue for a wedding. Beautiful courtyard and gardens and only a short taxi ride from Nottingham City centre.

What a little gem, not one of the biggest places to visit, but sitting in the courtyard garden was peaceful and transported you to another time, well worth a visit.

I visited Holme PierrePont Hall in preparation for photographing a wedding later this month. Both the house and grounds are stunningly beautiful with many photographic opportunities to tell a wedding story.

Only open for general purposes on WEDNESDAYS (Also no walking routes in the grounds open apart from Wednesdays).
There is a sign on the gate but it didn’t mention the same on google maps at the time.
It’s best to check directly for other opening times for events.
The posh lady was polite when informing me of this.
It might be better to have an official opening times board on the main entrance from the road so we don’t have to go right up to the house to check.

Beautiful venue, unspoilt and still family run stately home .

Faded Grandeur with a delightful host was ideal for the wake of our son in law. Downstairs was awash with almost 200 farming folk talking farming and the long gallery upstairs was a grand surround to conversation for Widow, siblings, partners and offspring. The floor made an excellent tummy sliding resource for our 3, 4 and 6 year olds.
Definitely recommend for a very competitively priced special occasion venue.

interesting gardens and house. We had an enjoyable walk around the gardens following the trail to a small wood. We also look round the house which was short enough that our daughter did not get too bored. Cake and tea was ok but not outstanding.

Not alot to see, but a very nice location and garden

If you like a historical, time worn environment with nicely kept gardens, exceptionally accommodating host, this is the place for you. The only reason for the 4 🌟 is the fact that it is a work in progress although to me this just adds to the charm. I would definitely recommend it as a wedding venue. They even have a baby grand piano for you to play.

Another fantastic corporate day at Holme Pierrepont Hall, the grounds are huge and always kept in great condition. Wonderful gardens. Perfect for large groups, and covid-safe as there is so much outdoor space. 11/10!

Beautiful place.. very rustic and lovely place, like something out of a story book. Went here to set up drinks/bar for a wedding. Definitely recommend for an event.

We were married here on Saturday and we had such a wonderful day. We were very impressed with the owners and how helpful and friendly they are! We managed to move our wedding from Feb 2021 to September 2020 with only 4 days notice and everything was perfect! The venue was beautiful and full of history and the gardens are also beautiful. We honestly couldn't recommend this place more, they did everything to help us get our wedding ready in 4 days and it was honestly perfect.

We visited HPH in August 2020 and decided it was the perfect place for us to get married.... cue winter 2020/2021 and we are still waiting for the perfect day! Throughout the process Robert and Charlotte have been accommodating, kind and extremely responsive. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, not only is the hall absolutely gorgeous but your wedding plans couldn't be in better hands - an essential in these strange and stressful times.

A superb hidden gem of a venue. We had sole use for the day and a gorgeous intimate wedding celebration. They made it perfect with roaring fires, a variety of historical rooms and beautiful tables and chairs. The courtyard and gardens were a delight.

We had such a wonderful day at a wonderful venue supported by wonderful owners. We held a white civil registration and sit down reception here recently for my son's marriage and it was a such a success!
We cant thank Charlotte and Robert enough for giving us access to such a stunning venue in such a peaceful environment. Our guests were blown away by the beauty and serenity of Holme Pierrepont Hall.
The management were flexible, cooperative and highly professional in their attitude and support under such difficult covid conditions.
I would certainly recommend this venue to all my family, colleagues and friends.
This place is an amazing hidden gem...youve got to see it to believe it.
Holme Pierrepont Hall will definitely be seeing me again in the future.

Beautiful garden.. and very relaxing area

Amazing historic privately owned hall and gardens. My daughter was married here and it went like a dream. Beautiful house and surroundings, lovely gardens for the photos. Very friendly and accommodating owners. Open days and fetes are held throughout the year. It is private so it is not a visitor attraction as such. Don't just turn up.

We visited here for a company day in September 21.
It is absolutely stunning and certainly would be perfect for a intimate wedding setting.

Holme Pierrepont Hall, nestled in a tranquil, rural setting is a fascinating Tudor house.
Built in 1500 by Sir William Pierrepont it is the earliest brick building in Nottinghamshire and is still lived in by his descendants. The interior of the house is filled with portraits, regional furniture and personal possessions, still very much a family home.

Went for the car show today and was a really nice place to be. My partner does catering at venues all over the country and says this place is by far her favourite.

Took advantage of the recent warm weather and popped in. To get here is a reasonable trek but is so worth it. As you drive down the long, winding speed bumped lane, the hall just appears into view. Evidently, parts of the hall are one of the first brick built buildings in Nottinghamshire. Just enough to keep you interesting but the grounds are a real pleasure to walk through. Far enough to be away from the crowds, but close enough to be home in time for tea (if the tea room is full). Well worth a trip.

After weeks of looking around the various wedding reception venues in the Nottingham city area we stumbled across Holme Pierrepont Hall. A fantastic venue with wonderful gardens and plenty of space for all our guests. Right from the first meeting we felt at ease with Robert & Charlotte, nothing was too much trouble. We had such an enjoyable weekend with many of our guest commenting on what a beautiful location we had chosen. The long gallery was perfect for our wedding breakfast, the drawing room a great place for our guests to relax after enjoying our disco in the ballroom. We decided to stay overnight in the bridal suite, a beautiful annex at the front of the hall. We awoke to a lovely cooked and continental breakfast, the perfect end to a magical weekend. It's all about the small details and Robert & Charlotte made the whole weekend run like clockwork with such personal attention to detail. I can not recommend them highly enough. Keep up the good work guys. Many thanks, Rob & Rosie

I could not have imagined a more incredible venue for our wedding! As soon as we arrived to have a look around, we were convinced - it’s a red brick house, with a sweeping drive that leads up to both the house and church (St Edmund’s, 50 steps from the front door of the hall!), and stunning gardens including a flower garden courtyard in the middle of the house...we knew it would be a great venue for the guests, as well as for the photo opportunities it would provide!
Robert and Charlotte Brackenbury were incredible - no question was too small or too big to ask, and they treated us like family! We really felt we could decorate to our hearts delight to make it feel “like ours” for the day, but also that we could ask for advice at any point. We had the Hall the entire day before and both Charlotte and Robert were there to help.
I stayed overnight with my bridesmaids the night before the wedding and we were woken up to a beautiful breakfast complete with fresh flowers and juice...AND the beds were super comfy (I never expected to have such good sleep the night before my wedding!)...
We had the most wonderful day, felt very well looked after and everything went smoothly. We had so many compliments from everyone about the venue we had chosen! Our champagne and canapés were outside in the back gardens, with garden games...but the guests could wander around the entire space to their hearts’ delight, especially the courtyard flower garden (it’s also the most beautiful backdrop for bride/groom photos!)...
So, if I haven’t already been clear enough, a stunning day at a stunning venue that I couldn’t recommend more highly if I tried!
(Also, on another note, a wonderful place to look around/go to events!)

Very interesting historical hall and even though it's on my doorstep I had never been before now. Gardens are beautiful and the house has lots of character with a fascinating history behind it.
Great place for all the family.

Attended a marvellous car 🚗 show there! 11/7/2021 ....lots of cars from the old days and the 70s 80s 90s n best of today's! Even Michael Barrymore's car was there! 😉👍

We got married at Holme Pierrepont Hall and had the most wonderful day! We couldn't have picked a better venue. From the first time we met with Robert to discuss dates and options, we were always confident that we had picked the best place to hold our wedding reception. Robert, Charlotte and Chantelle were helpful, flexible and open to our ideas and offered flawless service that made the entire wedding planning process stress free. All our guests had a fantastic time and thought that Holme Pierrepont Hall looked stunning in the sunshine. The reception was everything we wanted it to be! It was an absolute pleasure working with them.

We got married at Holme Pierrepont Hall and had the best day of our lives! It was the only venue we looked around as we knew from our first visit it was where we wanted to get marrried. It has such character and charm and incredibly beautiful gardens. The owner, Robert is lovely. Chantelle was wonderful- very communicative and quick to reply to emails before the big day. It is also very reasonably priced compared to some other venues. I would highly recommend Holme Pierrepont Hall to you!

Lovely day, very covid safe. Good value for money

Lovely hall, with friendly staff and rather agile sheep! (One jumped the fence while we were visiting)
May benefit from some more info, maybe a room guide, but still rather pleasant to visit. Also a lovely church next door too!
K. W.
Lovely place. Went to a gardening event, thought the entrance fee was a little high considering the amount of stalls, the fee also allows access to the grounds but living locally I have seen them before.

Lovely walk round Holme Pierpont this morning to see the snowdrops and some of the blossom already out. Good one way system, very well sign posted.
