Really lovely venue and the rooms were amazing. No TV in the room, or coffee and tea but there is water It was difficult to get drinks though so think they may have been a bit short staffed. We had to keep asking for wine refills or asking to order drinks. Also gave a non vegan meal to a vegan, which wasn't good. (Hence 4 stars not 5) There were more good memories then bad though, we had an fantastic day.

We recently had our Wedding at Holmewood Hall and it exceeded our expectations in every way. From the first meeting to the day after our wedding the team at Holmewood made everything so special! Our guests came from all over the world and everyone commented on how amazingly run and gorgeous the venue was. A special mention to our wedding planner, Polly, she just made us feel so welcome and made everything run so smoothly on our wedding day! Also, made our table decorations look better than what we could have done ourselves! Thank you again and can't wait to come back for one of the evening dates.

I attended a wedding at this venue. The location and grounds were beautiful. The rooms small, intimate but functional. The staff were smiley and attentive. One particular member of staff, Anthony, gave us the best service I've ever experienced. Extremely attentive, so fun and smiley during the wedding dinner. Always checking our glasses were filled. Imagine our joy to see him being the bar for the evening do too! Absolute Legend.

We had our wedding here in February and would definitely recommend this venue. The ceremony room is bright and airy, the food was delicious and the team were very attentive. There are a number of rooms so guests who did not want to dance in the evening could sit away from the music and talk. Although we only met him on the morning of the wedding as our wedding planner was ill, Lee was brilliant. He even helped to calm a nervous father of the bride before his speech! Family and friends also commented on how nice the guest rooms are.

Fantastic wedding venue. I attended as a guest. Beautiful grounds and hall,, excellent attentive and unobtrusive service, very well organised. Guests didn't need to remind staff of their food choices/preferences. Food was delicious: 'classic' but great quality. I warmly recommend.

Gorgeous building with beautiful grounds. I attended a wedding here recently and it was one of the most picturesque settings for such a ceremony. Staff were friendly and attentive and the food was very good. Couldn't fault it. Highly reccomend it as a wedding venue.

We have recently attended a wedding at this beautiful venue. The day was perfect and enjoyed by everyone. Regarding rooms. Although beautifully decorated and comfortable they certainly lacked the little extras you expect from a venue of this standard and price. A whopping £170 a room. No tea / coffee facility, no TV, no wardrobe !! No mirror in our bathroom making it difficult for my husband to shave. Also, little touches like when offering tea/ coffee in the lounge being willing to give a second cup? We all had a drink token for the bar, BUT these did not cover basic drinks like Processco or gin and tonic? There is no outside light to light the way to the disabled access room, so we had to use a torch to get our elderly mother over there. These are just small things that could very easily be addressed, making the whole experience perfect. But overall the family had a great day.

We had had our wedding at holmewood hall this year and it was incredible! The site is immaculate and the rooms are amazing! The staff made our day stress free which felt great and Polly was amazing with all our little touches and making the day ours. Food was great and service from front of house staff great also. I have seen some reviews are moaning about tea and coffe facilities and there being no TV in the room...this is not a hotel its a beautiful wedding venue and the rooms are grand and classy! We both fell in love with this venue and it definitely wow'ed all our guests too. Definitely would recommend. We're still buzzing from it, Thank you Holmewood Hall staff 🥳

We were married at Holmewood Hall 5th June 2022. From picking the venue to leaving the day after the wedding was absolutely perfect. Words cannot describe how thankful I am to Sophie our wedding manager and all the staff at Holmewood Hall throughout our whole day. Sophie made our day so special, when planning she always came back to us straight away right up until the last couple days before. We are so grateful to have had her as our wedding manager. We were very particular about the food and even added an extra course - the best food we’ve ever eaten!! All our guests commented on this! You literally couldn’t fault a single thing throughout the whole process. We are so happy we chose to get married at Holmewood Hall. Thank you all so much, Remmi & Massimo xx

The beautiful venue is only part of why our experience was amazing. The staff were calm, polite, friendly and so professional. Our personal wedding manager Lee guided us through the day seamlessly and seemed to pre-empt what we'd need. I honestly felt as if I'd gone through a 10th of the wedding stress that most brides do because so much was taken care of for me. And everything I asked for was done exactly how I asked. And the food! Amazing! I'd love for a friend to get married here so I can attend as a guest!

Lovely location easy to find .Relaxed friendly staff...wedding room intimate... good .only criticism is that a couple of bowls of vegetables on the table would have been nice rather than just 1 bowl eked out...between 6.... Also would have liked some outside covered space if it rains. We had a lovely day..

We held our wedding reception here at the end of October and it was perfect! Lee and the rest of the staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to make our day really special. The food was incredible and I was especially impressed by the diligence shown in ensuring my dietary requirements were taken into account. This meant I truly relaxed and enjoyed the day. Thank you! The venue is truly spectacular, offering something for everyone, and the grounds provided the perfect backdrop for some autumnal photos. The rooms are very comfortable and have everything a bride and groom could want! The bridal suite was perfectly designed, ostentatious enough to make us feel very special. Still waiting to hear from Holmewood Hall a week after the bridal party at our wedding were accused of burning the carpet in the bridal suite (which looks like curling tongs picture 1&2) . We provided them with photographic proof that burns were already there as the makeup artist we used was setting up in the bridal suite before the bridal party arrived and happened to catch an image of one of the burns when shooting a video (you can very see one of the marks under the table where the makeup is set up in the 3rd picture). We also have photographic evidence that our hairdresser was set up in another room and there was no hair equipment in the bridal suite bedroom where the burn marks were. Without the photographic evidence we would likely be liable for damages even though we know it was not us. Holmewood Hall is still investigating this despite the proof provided and is sitting on our fairly hefty damage deposit. It's caused undue stress and left a nasty taste in our mouths as well as tarnished our experience at what was a fabulous venue and day. Since then we have also found out my brother was charged for pots of tea prior to the ceremony and only found out this was available free of charge when he went to purchase a cup of coffee. At this time another member of staff stopped him from being charged again by correcting the bar staff and pointing him to the tea and coffee awaiting our guests free of charge. We are extremely disappointed by the treatment since our wedding and are no further forward in resolving the matter UPDATE: I have met with Anne today and would like to say, after speaking with her that we understand what happened after we left the venue and how easy it is for mistakes like this to happen given the staff only have a 2 hour turn around. I have been assured that there have been lessons learned and things have been put in place that this will never happen to anyone else. Sadly, staff have been disciplined. We are very happy with the way Anne has subsequently dealt with this matter and we feel the issues raised have been more than resolved. After my meeting I have increased the stars from 2 to 4 due to how the issue has been resolved.Thank you once again. I would like to reiterate our wedding day was out of this world and we had an absolutely fabulous time, all we hear from our guests 3 weeks on is how much they enjoyed themselves too. Thank you to everyone at Holmewood Hall for making our special day all that we dreamed off.

My husband and I have nothing but good words to say about this venue! We unfortunately had to scale back our wedding to 15 people due to restrictions and leave our big wedding until later this year, and they couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating! We had our photographers & videographers Rapid Image there as our only suppliers and they worked with the venue so well to get us our amazing wedding photos! Couldn’t recommend either of them more! Looking forward to being back there with the Rapid Image team in September to celebrate our marriage with our closest people and our new daughter!

Went here for a wedding reception on 23/09/21. It's a lovely building. I just felt it was a bit too spread out. The bar was at front of the building, but because it was lovely weather most people were in the gardens. Food in the evening was very good & plenty of it.

Decoratively lovely with great staff although rooms were cold with only a plug in heater. No TV's, no tea and coffee and no hair dryers. For a wedding venue very poor when you need to be your best for the couple. Double the price of a premier inn.

Attended a wedding which was absolutely lovely... Beautiful back drop and grounds.... Food ok, very expensive for the amount... Breakfast nice but kept running out of foods, had to wait for items to be cooked.... Room very disappointing for the price... No toiletries!!! No shower gel, shampoo and conditioner... No shower cap, couldn't have a shower as I didn't want to wash my hair but was a big shower head on the ceiling... No tea or coffee facilities in the room, I do like to have one first thing when I am getting ready... No TV?... Window wouldn't open and was stifling hot... No drawers or wardrobes so had to leave clothes all over the floor... Not great and £150 a night Mmmm... Had better for half the price.... On a positive note the staff are amazing, all so lovely and polite, there from morning to late at night work very hard... Beautiful grounds... 😚Very expensive back drop!!!!!

As a wedding photographer I work at many venues across the region and Holmewood Hall is up there with the very best. The bridal prep suite is light, airy and spacious with a real feel of luxury. The ceremony room is beautifully decorated and well lit. The grounds are stunning with a huge scope for capturing stunning bride and groom portraits with a variety of features to explore including the lake and the bandstand. The light late in the day is fabulous for golden hours shots. Best of all though, the staff. Kate, the event co-ordinator went out of her way to assist and nothing was too much trouble with for the wedding party or the other suppliers.

We had the most perfect wedding day at Holmewood Hall. We couldn't recommend them highly enough - from the day we first looked around to the wedding day itself (and afterwards), the communication from the team has been amazing. Lee was a brilliant wedding manager, he kept the day running so smoothly. Michaela and the catering team were perfect too, and SO many guests commented on how great the food and service was. Jason, the HH DJ, kept the party going all night, I wish we could re-live it all over again! Everyone commented on how beautiful the venue is, and we had the most perfect day. Lovely building reminds me of a country house hotel I worked at... Erm £27 for for 4 drinks didn't see a bar tarrif to verify what I was buying. Evening food acceptable... Barman could do with some lessons in smiling.. Would help soften the blow when buying expensive drinks... That I can live with. Best of luck.

We had our wedding here in November last year. After a stressful year of planning, we decided to change our venue last minute to Holmewood Hall and I am so glad we did. Firstly, this venue is beautiful. The interior has been completed to a high standard and the whole thing just feels so warm and cosy. Tracey, our wedding coordinator made the whole day seamless. We recently held our wedding at Holmewood Hall and Tracey Fowler, our Wedding Planner, was an absolute star before, during and after the wedding itself and is an absolute credit to Holmewood Hall. Nothing was too much trouble for Tracey and her Team and the way they looked after us and our guests was impeccable. Michaela, the Head Waiter at our wedding breakfast, was so kind and attentive to my husband and I throughout. I attended a wedding recently, the place is stunning as was the bride but unfortunately in mine and other members of our party opinions the bar staff let it down. They were slow, unable to take more than one drink order at a time and even though asked many times were not collecting empties or wiping any tables down.
