I would recommend The Ivory Lounge to everyone! The lady I had for my appointment was so helpful, calming and made the whole experience so thoughtful. You have the whole shop to yourself, and the prosecco/mimosas make it feel even more special. It was the first bridal appointment I had, and I ended up buying my wedding dress. The selection is beautiful. The shop is beautifully set up. Thank you so much for the best experience!

I had the most wonderful experience with Rachael here at The Ivory Lounge. The store itself has a beautiful, classy, elegant interior, which makes you feel a million dollars as soon as you step in. It’s evident that the dresses are carefully curated, so you’re not overwhelmed with 100’s of options, yet there’s plenty to try in varying styles. I would have been happy to wear any of them down the aisle! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

My bridesmaid Lottie and I had the most wonderful afternoon at the Ivory Lounge, I'm right at the beginning of my journey of choosing the perfect dress and after feeling disheartened from a few other shops it was a breathe of fresh air at the Ivory Lounge. Rachael was lovely and the dresses were gorgeous, a lovely selection to fit different tastes. I found a very strong contender to be chosen as 'the one' and once I have done my due diligence and checked out a few other styles and designers I would be overjoyed to purchase my dress from here... and my friends will be getting the recommendation once their men pop the question! I had my first appointment with Rachael at The Ivory Lounge and enjoyed every minute of it. Rachael made me feel so at ease and was amazing at fitting me into dresses and making them look as they should on me. She had a great eye for choosing what I wanted after I'd tried a few on and offered to order in another style to try on. Out of the 3 shops I tried, The Ivory Lounge had the best choice of price points and styles. Thank you.

My Mother and Mother in-law to be went to the Ivory Lounge last week and we had the most amazing experience. Nothing was too much trouble and they had such a wide selection of beautiful wedding gowns. Certainly worth a visit if you haven't yet found your gown and to have most personal and lovely time!

I can’t rate the Ivory lounge enough!! They where so Accommodating to me and my bridal party, they went above and beyond for us staying open later one day so my mother in law could see some of the dresses I liked. The attention to detail from Rachel and the owner was very welcome giving advice one how and what to style the dress with and what looks good and they where never wrong. I had the most wonderful experience at The Ivory Lounge and found my dream dress. Rachael was so welcoming and helpful - no ask was too big and she was so patient with all of our questions. It was really lovely to have the shop to ourselves and we did not feel rushed or pressured into making a decision at any point. The Ivory Lounge was my first dress appointment, and Rachael helped me to feel at complete ease despite the nerves I wasn’t going to find anything - but we left the shop having found ‘the One’! I had a wonderful experience at The Ivory Lounge and can recommend them to any brides-to-be in the Devon area. The shop had a small luxury boutiquey feel and the selection of dresses were elegant and classy. But what impressed me most were the little details in the shop, particualrly the dressing room. I have been to a lot of dress shops trying to find my dress, and the detail The Ivory Lounge went to in their fitting room was by far the best. For example, in between trying the dresses on you were given a beautiful silky robe to wear... in every other shop I had ended up prancing around in my underwear! There were also mirrors on all sides allowing you to see the dress from all angles, again, something I didn't come across in other shops. In many of the other shops, the changing room was tiny and you get so warm trying dresses on. This changing room had tonnes of room and the furnishings were just beautiful - it felt like a cut above the rest. I also have to mention Rachael, who was extremely helpful and squeezed me in to an appointment very last minute. She knew exactly when to step in and offer advice and when to step back and let me soak it all up and nothing was too much trouble. My only wish is that i had gone to this shop earlier! If you are looking for a classy dress and to feel like you are being spoilt, look no further - The Ivory Lounge is THE place to go. Thank you Rachael for a wonderful experience :) x

Such a friendly team, Elly and Rachael are amazing at making you feel right at home in their lovely bridal shop. They offer you a drink and a gorgeous sofa to sit on and talk through what you are looking for, before moving onto trying on some amazing dresses! No rushing, no pushing, they just let you enjoy the time you need to decide. I can't recommend them enough - they helped me find my dream dress and were super lovely throughout the process!

I had a wonderful experience at this boutique, the ladies made me feel so welcome and that nothing was too much trouble. It was my first experience of trying on dresses and they made me feel at ease, even though I felt completely out of my comfort zone. To the credit of these ladies even though I didn’t find my ‘one’ at their shop they went above and beyond to help me, (even in contact afterwards to tell me about exciting new collections) and this was the boutique that I had the best experience of wedding dress shopping out of all the subsequent ones I went to. The Ivory Lounge was the first bridal shop I went to, after a friend spotted it on a dog walk! I had already booked other places, so came just to have a look as it was local and I liked the look of a few dresses online. I’m so glad I found this place! It was the perfect first shop to come to, the shop is beautiful and has a lovely atmosphere and dresses for all budgets/tastes. Myself and my family/friends were made to feel so welcome by the ladies, and it felt really laid back. The dressing room is huge! So I was able to get a real feel for all the dresses, and after going to other places afterwards where the changing rooms are small and awkward - I realised how spoilt I was as it gets very hot jumping in and out of dresses! The ladies are so nice and supportive, without making me feel like they were telling me what I wanted to hear and definitely didn’t feel pressurised at all! They even advised me to go to other places to make sure I was making the right decision for myself. And the appointment slot gives plenty of time to try on as much as you like, they were very accommodating. I fell in love with a dress and after going away I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so I went back and as soon as I put it on I knew I wanted to take it home! Unfortunately the wedding is another year away so it was hard to say goodbye for now haha! I can’t wait to come back for my fittings. It can be daunting find a wedding dress, so much pressure to find ‘the one’ but thank you for making the experience all positive, I’ve already recommended you to friends :) Xx
