WOW!!! What a day.We gave the team @ brides of Southampton the impossible task of helping the bride to be find a dress with only 10 days notice. My goodness did they deliver… Prosecco on arrival-found the dream dress and accessories, with all that in tow made myself the other bridesmaids feel completely involved throughout the whole process. For what was an very emotional day Edna made it that little more special (with some of the best cuddles) and really made the bride feel like a princess. Also a MASSIVE thank you to Gemma and Bogusia. Just an incredible experience.

Absolutely amazing experience. Leia was fabulous, very welcoming, knowledgeable and made me feel great throughout the whole appointment. She encouraged me to try styles I hadn't previously thought about but without being pushy. I can not recommend this beautiful wedding boutique enough! Both Gemma & Lily were absolutely amazing. The genuine care, passion, knowledge & insight they have is incredible. I have been to Brides of Southampton once before but as a bridesmaid for my cousin who was getting married & the experience then was amazing, so you can only imagine how I felt returning as the bride! I knew in my heart & gut there was no where else I wanted to go, so I genuinely only booked Brides of Southampton to look for my wedding dress. When I arrived although I was so excited and had been so looking forward to going wedding dress shopping as soon as I booked it, I was also a little nervous, but unsure why. Both Lily & Gemma instantly helped me to relax & took the pressure off & as soon as I started trying dresses on l, I immediately knew I was in safe hands. They both made me feel amazing & within no time at all they were absorbing everything I was saying, seeing how I felt & taking in every detail of helping me to find my dream dress. Then just like magic they brought a dress for me to try & it was absolutely perfect. I felt so listened too & they knew what I wanted even though I couldn’t explain it to a fine detail, they just got it. I loved the dress as soon as it was on before they had even finished doing it up. Ha ha. It was just enough of everything I loved without being too much. Gemma & Lily actually picked this out for me. It wasn’t one I had picked out & it was perfect & beautiful in every way. They just got me in that one appointment, which is why they’re so amazing at what they do. I couldn’t stop staring at my dress & didn’t want to take it off (that’s when you know you have found “the one”) they were both so patient & caring. They took their time, they didn’t rush me or pressure me at all & they were just as much a part of my journey, as my lovely ladies I took with me were. I genuinely trusted & valued what they were saying & they got just as excited as we all did, which I loved. It was truly so much fun, and just as magical as you would wish it to be. Not to mention the beautiful range of dresses they available, you couldn’t not find your dream dress in there. I shared my hopes & worries with finding my perfect wedding dress & they just took care of the rest. You ladies are truly remarkable at what you do & I honestly can’t wait to come back & see you both again & get my dress 😍😭 thank you for all you done yesterday. Honestly meant the world! X

This bridal boutique is a must if you are shopping for your wedding dress. The moment you step in you are made to feel special but, also at ease. I was struck by the stunning array of dresses, to match every bride. Their attention to detail is lovely; prosecco on arrival, a beautiful changing space where they had written on the mirror "welcome bride Naomi", dressing gown for in between changing etc You aren't rushed but welcome to take the time you need to get it right. Their expertise is evident and I was in love with all the dresses they recommended based on my style and preferences. I found my dream dress and I'm sure you will too with the specialist care of the warm, helpful team at Brides of Southampton.

I was so unbelievably nervous going dress shopping for the first time to the point I nearly cancelled my appointment. But as soon as I entered the shop my nerves quickly went and I was filled with excitement!! I honestly could not recommend this store enough. I had the most incredible, personal experience here. Not only did they find me me all time DREAM dress that I’ve always imagined for my wedding, they also provided me the most intimate, personalised experience. They called me beforehand to get to know me and ask questions about my engagement, life, perfect dress etc and when I arrived they had Prosecco waiting for myself and all my guests. My guests were heavily involved in every part of the process. The lady that I worked with was Edna and she was absolutely LOVELY. She made the day super special for me. We had the most wonderful visit at Brides of Southampton. Our stylist, Lily, was so amazing. I’d never tried a wedding dress before and she filled me with so much confidence. My sisters and I picked out a few dresses and Lily suggested a plainer one to start with. The dress she picked was one I would never have picked myself but I was keen to try a variety. I absolutely loved the dress and when paired with a veil (something I also wouldn’t have chosen myself), I felt amazing and so bridal and it ended up being my favourite! I was given the opportunity to try on quite a few more dresses in different styles. Lily made me feel so comfortable and I felt like I could be completely honest about my opinions. She was so professional and so knowledgeable, we were all completely blown away. I couldn’t recommend this shop highly enough, thank you so much Lily and Brides of Southampton!

Such a great and special xperience and I found my dress! I visited a different dress shop before my consultation with Edna who is so lovely and very bubbly (and gives a good congrats cuddles too) and oh my goodness what a different (sigbificantly better) experience did I have. Edna listened to my brief, was clear with why she picked certain options for me and made sure I was comfy. She ensured that a robe between dresses was provided and at no point did I worry about my dignity which was totally not the case in the previous dress shop. She is incredibly good at what she does and as a result I found my perfect dress! Thank you fir such a great experience especially when I'm not someone who wears dresses or is really girly normally!

Such an amazing experience here at BOS! 2nd bridal shop I visited and you cannot compare the way I was treated here to anywhere else. Michelle, Gemma, Amy & Lily are the lovely ladies who have assisted me in my search and even took care of my nan when she noticed she had cut herself! The selection of dresses is amazing, the website is really helpful especially if you live further away you can come prepared with what you’d like to try! Prices are so reasonable compared to all other boutiques I’ve tried, and this one beats them all with their dresses.

A great experience from start to finish. I appreciated being able to clearly view all available stock, along with prices, on the website to ensure that I knew there were dresses of the style I was after before going to the shop in person. Booking online was also very easy and convenient. At the appointment, Lily and Lena were very helpful and friendly, making me feel at ease throughout. I was able to show them which dresses I had seen online for them to get for me to try on. This made the process very efficient as they were then able to offer alternatives once they had seen the style I liked. Despite having a firm favourite from the start, I felt no pressure to buy there and then. I was offered to sleep on it and to try the dress on again another day. They were even able to fit me in for a follow-up appointment just a few days later as I am not local and was going home at the end of the week. Having been to a few other places, this was certainly the best bridal shop experience I have had. Thank you, Lily and Lena, for helping me finding my wedding dress!

I came here today for the first time to shop for my dress, and wow, what a shop! It was one of the best shopping experiences I’ve ever had- and I have now been to a few bridal shops so it’s not just the novelty talking!! My appointment was with Lena, and she was fantastic. She made me feel comfortable, confident and very bridal! She made sure to ask me what I thought and how I felt, as it is easy to get swept up in the opinions of your shopping companions. Having her there to remind me to think about that was invaluable! All the extra touches to help us to envision the look were amazing and so effective - from adding a bouquet to giving my bridesmaids dresses in their colour scheme to stand next to me. Lena and her colleagues also made no attempt to hard sell, which makes the experience feel even more special somehow. Can’t wait to come back and secure THE DRESS!

I found Brides of Southampton when looking for a dry cleaners for my wedding dress on 29th August 2021. Honestly, they were amazing on the phone when I was requesting more information and allowed me to pop down that night for them to see my dress and provide me with a quote. They advised me that the dry cleaning process normally takes 6 weeks (roughly) but due to an unexpected family commitment, they were able to turn the dress around for me in 7 days! Gemma-Louise talked me through the process, kept me informed every step of the way and called me when my dress was ready. I have just been to collect my wedding dress from them and she looks back to how she was when I bought her. The ladies at Brides of Southampton are so friendly and welcoming, it is a lovely place to visit, now to get re-married so I can visit them again! I would 100% recommend them for a new dress or refreshing your old one!

After the worst commute due to traffic I arrived with my mum, 40 minutes late to my appointment, and had also just got caught in the rain so I felt pretty defeated. However, the moment I came in the shop I felt so relaxed. The ladies were so natural, understanding and calm and I had the best experience. I explained that I haven’t felt nice in a dress yet and was pretty insecure and they totally understood, helped me find exactly the right style of dress I was after and helped me feel really good about myself. I never imagined I would feel so relaxed and comfortable but they were just really normal, understanding and attentive. I found not 1 but 2 dresses I loved but never felt any push to make a decision but I will absolutely be saying YES to the dress next week when I go back for round 2. If your looking for a shop with lots of beautiful dresses, natural normal staff, and a glass of Prosecco I couldn’t recommend them more. I had been to 4 shops previous but never felt so comfortable! Also, so many bars on the same street, ideal location for going for a Prosecco or 2 after future dress fittings! Thank you brides of Southampton for being so lovely and making finding the dress such a perfect experience.

After visiting maybe 15 other shops up and down the country this was definitely my favourite shop! The inside of the shop was gorgeous and the ladies were so kind offering us drinks etc on arrival. I loved the online booking system which helped the ladies understand which style of dresses I liked - and clearly it works for them too! I was adamant I was coming to the shop to buy a dress and when trying it on one of the ladies suggested a dress that was exactly the same shape, but different beading and it made so much difference! Honestly a wonderful experience and the best I have had of all the shops I went to - of course, I said yes to the dress here!

Absolutely amazing! I came in Saturday with my Mum and best friend and we all had such a good morning with the BOS team. Michelle looked after us and is so friendly and kind, she was truly amazing. The whole team were smiley and upbeat and everyone made you feel at ease. The selection of dresses were varied, even for me as a plus size bride, and it goes without saying that they are gorgeous! The shop is beautiful, so clean and tidy and it’s so spacious. The little touches of Prosecco and the welcome message on the mirror were lovely and although a small touch, it went a long way. We’ve been to 1 other bridal shop and didn’t think you could get better than that, but you and your lovely team of ladies exceeded all of our expectations. We all left on cloud 9 and we can’t wait to come back with my Nan to show her the dress next Sunday! Massive, huge, great big thank you to Michelle - You we’re so so lovely and I’d highly recommend you to everyone. You are somebody every bride-to-be needs when trying on dresses!! I had an absolutely fantastic experience dress shopping at Brides of Southampton. As a plus size bride, I was worried that it would be stressful and that my options would be limited - but I felt entirely relaxed the whole time, and if anything, I had TOO MANY options! The dresses are absolutely gorgeous, and I'll be going back soon to try my two faves again (once I decide what they are). I had the full attention of both Michelle and Gemma for the entire time, they were warm and welcoming, and their expertise was evident. She was beyond exceptional, with such a wealth of experience snd knowledge. She even made putting on the dresses easy, and picked out ones which were exactly what i was after. This rating is purely on the dress cleaning services they provide. I recently collected my dress which I had paid to be cleaned. Once I had got the dress home I noticed several marks still on the dress. I contacted the store and they replied that they can't guarantee they will be able to remove all marks due to the fabric however I should have been made aware of the marks when collecting the dress. I don't think the shop should offer cleaning services if the can't provide a high standard of cleaning. Dress cleaning is not cheap and I regret choosing brides to clean mine.

I liked the welcome Prosecco and my name written on the mirror, both were a lovely touch. But overall I didn’t feel special and I think it was down to the consultant who contributed to my experience. I was expecting a little more enthusiasm and for her to be more friendly and warm. It felt too much like a sales transaction and not an important, exciting visit to choose a wedding dress. Both visits like that and my mother in law picked up on the same vibe too. I was also disappointed to hear that the dress I really liked at my first visit (only 9 days prior) is no longer available to order in time for my wedding and I would have to buy the sample dress, which wasn’t in a perfect condition and was still offered at a full price. This should have been communicated at the previous appointment. Overall I’m disappointed with my experience at the salon and I think it would have been much nicer if I had a different consultant (other people in the salon seemed a lot more friendly).

I found my perfect dress with the help of Michelle! The whole experience was magical and relaxing as Michelle put me at ease (I was a little nervous about having the spot light on me!). They were understanding of the fact buying a wedding dress is a huge decision, so after narrowing it down to two dresses, they made another appointment for me go back after lunch, think about the dresses, look back at photos and finally to go back and try it on my favourite before deciding. The team were extremely accommodating and not at all pushy in wanting a sale. It was a wonderful experience and I feel in safe hands for future appointments! Thank you again.

Being a relatively curvy 5ft 9 girl, I was very anxious and hesitant about going wedding shopping again as I was worried nothing would fit like in a previous store. However, the team at Brides of Southampton were a breath of fresh air and made the whole experience a DREAM. I was recommended them by a family friend and they truly did not disappoint. I was recommended Brides of Southampton by a friend of mine and I was not disappointed! Before my appointment I was sent a survey about my venue and any themes/ styles I had in mind. I’ve had these in other places but they never seemed to be used but that was not the case here. I want to have a Disney vibe to my wedding and I was assigned Ashleigh to assist me, who also loved Disney and completely understood the look I was going for- thanks to the survey and Ashleigh’s excellent knowledge. She was able to find gorgeous choices I didn’t even think of initially and thought about which veil and tiara would work best with each dress. The shop itself is very clean and inviting and we were offered prosecco and soft drinks without charge. The dresses are absolutely beautiful and they have a wide range of sizes; as a curvy girl most shops I’ve visited have few, if any, larger sizes but I didn’t struggle here. She even found a fishtail in my size! And when I tried on dresses that were too small, Ashleigh managed to make it look as fitted as possible so that I could a better view of what it would look like and even had hair clips for me to get an idea of what my hair would look like. Everyone in the shop was friendly and enthusiastic about finding the perfect dress for me and they weren’t pushy in the slightest. I highly recommend Brides of Southampton, by far the best bridal shop I’ve visited (and I’ve visited around 10). Thank you so much Ashleigh you made me feel like a real Disney princess! 😃

From sitting down at the very beginning and being offered a glass of bubbly, to the very end of the appointment where I found my dream dress! They had even written “Welcome back Nicola” on the mirror in the fitting room, such a lovely touch. At the final fitting in October the dress fitted perfectly. In the meantime my daughter had seen a bridal jacket on the Brides IG that she loved. I decided to try to get one for her as a surprise. I contacted them about it and they managed to get one for me all the way from a designer in Australia! Nothing was too much trouble for them. After booking an appointment, I was sent a survey to let them know what I was looking for. On my first visit, they'd picked loads of dresses for me, and I ended up getting one I wouldn't even have thought of. Amazing shop! I was dedicated the 1.5 hour time slot, however Lara was honest that she still had some time until her next appt and allowed me to over run. Other bridal shops were very strict with their appt times. After my appt I went for a coffee and when I had made a decision Lara fitted me in so she could take my measurements and even allowed me to try the final dresses on again just so I could be sure. There is a huge selection of dresses to choose from. I also received a few personalised touches which made me feel ultra special, something of which other bridal shops didn't do. Lara was so patient and just fantastic all round, there were multiple groups/brides in the shop as it got very busy (mainly because I had come back spontaneously!) and she made sure that everyone got seen, everyone was kept happy and she delegated and prioritised accordingly. Really good experience and I got my dress!
