There are lots of wedding directories out there so I was sceptical about joining another but I am so glad I did. The Whitewed Directory is the only one that cares enough about couples to vet their members. I feel really reassured when I work at a wedding with whitewed suppliers as I know that the day will run smoothly. After re-opening my business, I was determined not to spend too much time alone, as working from home can be a lonely business! I joined Whitewed to meet other suppliers and people that really understand the wedding business - I look forward to the get-togethers, have built up a great network of fellow suppliers and have made some great friends. From this I am now able to use fellow members skills and support their businesses too. I don’t feel alone anymore, and the Whitewed Members Facebook group is a great place to ask questions and get help. The Wedding Shows have been amazing for my business. I know that Natalie and her team put all their effort into every Show. They are well organised, advertised and have a high standard of suppliers. Couples are reassured by the Whitewed ‘Stamp of Approval’ and I’m very proud to be part of that.

As a wedding supplier what attracted me to The Whitewed Directory was that each and every supplier listed for Bride & Grooms are individually vetted and approved, meaning each supplier has to be insured, have wedding reviews from real couples and follow a code of practice. Whitewed really is a great resource for couples planning their wedding day, not only do they have a great directory but a great blog regularly updated and they always have plenty to see on social media. The wedding fairs are well organised and its always a pleasure to work alongside Natalie and her team plus all the other Whitewed suppliers. We have been advertising and exhibiting at Whitewed wedding fairs for a couple of years and look forward to continually working with them in the future.

As a newcomer to the wedding industry, my goal was to build a network of other florists and wedding professionals so that I could quickly grow my knowledge. Being a Whitewed member has made this possible in so many ways, and I’ve been thrilled and humbled by the generosity of everyone we’ve met. The Whitewed Wedding Shows have introduced me to lots of different people and this has led to exciting opportunities to collaborate. Just one example was a recent styled photo shoot which I coordinated following an informal chat over a glass of wine at a Whitewed get-together. The results surpassed our expectations and were recently published by a leading wedding blog. The business benefits have been great with a steady stream of direct enquiries from the website Directory and lots of bookings from Wedding Shows. We now have a full diary for this year and several weddings booked already for next year. We have a saying in our house about winning new business: ‘if you want to get wet, stand where it’s raining.’ Being a Whitewed member ensures a lot of lovely rain!

Whitewed is the only advertising I pay for and it is worth every penny! Just the shows alone generate so much interest and business and the venues are beautiful! Firstly, I'd like to say that since joining Whitewed, my business has doubled-I joined in 2015 and had 7 weddings for that year, in 2016 this leapt up to 18 and 2017 is so far booked for 17 weddings. I feel that Whitewed has had a big part to play in this increase. The Whitewed get togethers are hugely beneficial as not only does it allow networking, it allows relationships to be built up and therefore results in being confident to recommend other Whitewed members to potential bride and grooms. I personally have build up relationships with at least 3 other photographers and we now refer each other when one is booked up. The one to one business advice has been hugely beneficial, it has allowed me to express ideas, ask advice and to generally be more confident in knowing that I'm on the right track! When I first joined Whitewed, I wondered if I was good enough, I wondered if I was ready to expose my business - any doubts that I had initially, soon vanished as I got to know the Whitewed team, they are all extremely positive, ready to listen and Natalie has been very instrumental in helping me develop my business and make sure that I'm pitching to the right audience. The social media side of the advertising has helped direct people to my website and Facebook page, the number of hits to both, have increased since joining Whitewed and it just helps to get my name out there!
