Cissbury Barns is a perfect wedding venue, the wedding barn, reception barn, bar, stretch tents, gardens, views of the South Downs all make it a beautiful place to be. The staff are all amazing, thank you Helen, Michelle and Christina for making it all run so smoothly. They made both our days perfect (we had our wedding and wedding reception 15 months apart due to Covid). Everyone at Cissbury Barns is amazing, they made it all so easy, it felt like we were organising it with our best friends. I can't imagine having been anywhere else and can not recommend them highly enough.

We’re currently on our honeymoon and have spent every day so far thinking about our wedding day and reflecting on what an absolutely incredible time we had. The 17th June 2022 at Cissbury Barns was without doubt the best day of both of our lives and we cannot thank Michelle and the whole team at Cissbury enough for making the day run so smoothly… it was all just so perfect! It exceeded our expectations in so many ways. The venue itself is so stunning and the atmosphere was just amazing all day long. Michelle was so helpful in the lead up to the wedding, i felt very confident in her ability to run the day and she certainly didn't dissapoint. It was such a pleasure to have her around throughout the day. She calmed my nerves on arrival and even put suncream on my shoulders during the drinks reception to make sure I didn’t burn on what turned out to be the hottest day of the year! So many people have complimented us on our choice of venue saying how beautiful it was and we couldn’t agree with them more. We wish we could do the day all over again! Cissbury Barns as a wedding venue was perfect. We viewed several venues, many of which were nice, but didnt have everything we wanted in our quest for perfect. Cissbury had beautiful open space, views of the South Downs, an undercover bar with plenty of undercover areas if the weather was inclement, space for the ceremony and the reception on the same site. There was loads of seating, and the staff were great. We saw the venue on a wet late-spring day, but fell in love immediately. We stood chatting to Helen for 30 mins or so after our viewing, and were clear straight away we loved it. We also met Geoffrey, the owner, who was lovely and welcoming. Communicating from this point was easy, and we got help from Michelle and Helen throughout. Just over two years later we had our day, in brilliant sunshine (though we'd have had a great day in less impressive weather). An earlier blip with one of our suppliers had caused us a mini drama, and Helen and Cristina had been phenomenal in their support for us - reassuring, solution driven, and supportive... everything we could have asked for. The day itself went so incredibly smoothly. Cristina had everything set up before the groom arrived, and talked him through the first few parts of the day. From that point on, everything just seemed to happen, and happen without any drama, difficulties or effort. The evening team were phenomenal, great spirited, and good fun. And clearing up the next day was straightforward... Helen and Geoffrey helping out with a couple of queries as we packed up. Our guests loved every minute, and all thought the venue was amazing... Thank you one and all for your support, good humour and assistance on the day. We loved every second, and our love and connection for the venue will be strong forever. Thank you

We attended a wedding here and it is a lovely space. The selection of barns enabled us to separate into family groups to chat, and the central areas were big enough for the main gathering. Everything was clean (including the washrooms). The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are great views for photos. Not sure how easy it would be for disabled access as some walkways were unpaved.

Wow is all we can say from the team at Cissbury. They made our dream wedding a reality. Michelle and Helen have so much knowledge and experience when it comes to weddings, and it really showed during our wedding planning experience. We had to re arrange our wedding due to COVID-19 But Michelle and Helen took the stress away for us. They couldn’t have been more accommodating and just wanted us to have the best day. I was so thankful to have them as nothing was too much to ask. They knew exactly how we wanted the venue to look on the day and it really took my breath away. The barns are effortlessly beautiful and the grounds surrounding are just spectacular and make such beautiful photographs. We really didn’t feel stressed at all on the day, everything ran like clockwork, the team had everything organised and put emphasis on the fine details. Michelle and Helen, we can’t thank you both enough. We wish we could do the whole day again. Words can’t even explain how amazing the team are at Cissbury Barns. Michelle and Helen are the easiest people to communicate with and who really understood our vision. Cissbury Barns is the most wonderful place to get married and have your reception. From start to finish, (3 years in the planning due to covid) all the staff have been incredibly supportive and reassuring,especially when the date changed 3 times! Cissbury Barns made it a breeze.... there was nothing stressful about planning our big day. The day could not have gone better, it flowed perfectly....if only we could of slowed time down a bit. The decorations were gorgeous (To Have and to Hire) and the ones we did ourselves, Cissbury staff decorated the venue so nicely with. We couldn’t have been happier with our wedding at Cissbury Barns. The team couldn’t have done more for us. It exceeded our expectations and has everything you would want in a wedding venue. We had Elizabeth Caton providing the catering and To Have and To Hire decorating the venue. They all worked well together and we didn’t have to do anything on the morning of the wedding. As everything was complete for us. I stayed on-site and the accommodation was amazing the pictures do not do it justice. It made my morning stress free as I only had to travel a short distance up the track. They were awarded venue of the year for a reason and it truly is a hidden gem. The team are also very good at what they do and went into so much detail. By far the best venue we viewed and I went to over 15 venues in Sussex. Thank you so much for a great day! The Spragg’s Xx

We got married here last Friday and had the most wonderful day from start to finish. The staff were so helpful and attentive, from planning to postponing, to making sure that the day ran smoothly and everything was perfect; we couldn't have asked for more. We attended a wedding here recently. The venue is beautiful and most of the staff were lovely and tried to make sure everyone was looked after. However as previously mentioned in another review, the guests were prevented from taking out the opened bottles of wine and toasting fizz, (which were provided by the parents of the groom), when we were told the barn needed to be cleared. So the option to finish our drinks in the barn wasn't available. The guests could pour it into glasses and take these out but not the bottles. Not sure what the difference was!

Well what a team! We booked our wedding venue back in 2019 for 2020 and then Covid happened. Helen leads a great team and she was there to help us throughout what turned out to be a very long journey. She has been so helpful, understanding , supportive and professional throughout and we cannot recommend them highly enough. As the big day approached with the ever changing rules Helen was there to provide a helpful dose of sanity and cometh the day we were passed onto Michelle who oversaw events on the day.. Michelle is a lady who takes things in her stride and led her team with quiet professionalism. The day was amazing, everything went smoothly with the team at Cissbury Barns quietly sorting things in the background. They are a team clearly used to dealing with such events and we cannot recommend the venue and the team highly enough. We chose a relaxed theme and we had numerous guests say how fantastic the venue was. So in short if you choose Cissbury Barns for your wedding you will not be disappointed. We visited Cissbury on a whim one afternoon whilst hunting for the perfect wedding venue and it absolutely ticked all of the boxes. Beautiful barns, beautiful setting and stunning location. We immediately fell in love with it and looked no further. Helen and Michelle were incredibly friendly and helpful and managed to accommodate everything we had planned for the day and really nothing was too much trouble. Michelle ran our wedding day and she was fantastic, always on the ball and picking up on all of the details, it was like having a good friend around me! Lots of our guests commented on how beautiful Cissbury is and we only wish we could do it all again every weekend!

It seems impossible to know where to even start when writing a review for Cissbury because they were simply so brilliant. We booked the barns as the venue for our wedding back in September 2018, with the original plan to get married in August 2020. Then came that fateful year and we got to see how truly amazing the team at Cissbury really are. Helen was there to metaphorically hold my hand through every tough decision and change of plan that came with trying to plan/re-plan a wedding during a pandemic. Never have I dealt with someone so understanding, empathetic and open. She became like an old friend! When it finally started looking like our December wedding would actually be given the green light, it was full steam ahead for us all. The team opened up days before the wedding so that we could go an see the styling and add our own little touches and on the day, the staff bent over backwards to make sure we all had the best day ever. My only wish is that more people could have got to share it with us. If you're planning a wedding and you're still considering venues, please make sure you pay a visit to Cissbury

We had our wedding at Cissbury Barns in August 2019 and can't recommend it enough. It's a beautiful venue, with loads of nice spots for photos, enough outside spaces for guests to spread out whilst still feeling in the same place. Everything in the Barns is beautiful, and it was the perfect space for our wedding. Not only that, the team at Cissbury were brilliant right from the start, taking us through all the questions we asked, giving us useful paperwork to plan our day, and providing several chances to visit the venue on weekends to see it dressed up and ask questions. We had the best day ever - if you're looking for a Barn for your wedding, this would be a great choice!

Wow, what can we say! We got married at Cissbury on 30th August. Quite simply we fell in love with the place during our first visit and knew Cissbury would be the venue for our special day. Helen and Michelle were so helpful from the initial booking, and ensured everything went smoothly, quietly working in the background on the day. Cissbury is in such a beautiful setting with amazing views across the South Downs - perfect for photos galore! The rustic character of the barns and the bar just added real charm to our day and the whole place offered a great mix of indoor and outdoor spaces for guests to quench their thirst! We had two classic cars (Austin Healey, Jaguar MKI) which were perfect against the backdrop of the barns. We looked at many venues and nothing came close - attention to detail, support and coordination of Helen and Michelle, it was a faultless day and we recommend you go and see the place for yourself!

We used Cissbury House as the venue for the reception following the funeral of my husband. Kate and the staff at Cissbury made this painful process very easy. The venue and catering were spot on. The delicious bite size food was served around while the guests talked. So much better than a table or sit down buffet. The grand yet comfy house had fantastic views and space enough for all the guests. I would recommend this for anyone who would like a reception following a service at Worthing Crematorium.
