Kate and her team were brilliant from the moment we met. Really helpful and reassuring preparations in advance, and helped us to think of the billion things we never would have thought of, and connected us with suppliers who were all excellent. And her value really kicked in in the weeks before the wedding to manage all the suppliers and obviously on the day to make sure the day ran smoothly. I can't emphasise enough how all consuming a wedding can become in the run up, and so cannot imagine how we would have managed without Kate's help - in short we cannot recommend FOIL highly enough. We had the time of our lives and it was in huge part down to Kate and Jessica. My only regret was that I was having so much fun I didn't get the chance to thank and chat to them properly on the day! Probably the most essential bit of wedding spend we did, if you are in doubt about whether or not to hire foil, I would say 100% to just do it!

We had been engaged 7yrs before we finally decided to book our wedding, the main reason for such a long engagement was the fear of organising a wedding. We booked our venue at the canary shed, and Kate came as part of the package as wedding coordinator on the day but we asked her if she would help us out with planning the whole wedding. She sent over her planning packages and we booked her straight up. We had Kate onboard for just over a year and she helped with every aspect of the wedding planning and took so much stress away from us (who didn’t have a clue what to do or where to start). Hands down - the best thing I spent money on during the whole wedding planning situation!
Ever since our wedding a few weeks ago, people ask "how did it go?" and to which I answer "everything ran completely smoothly" and that is all down to Kate and Foil Events. Since chatting with Kate, everything has felt completely smooth and it was such a relief to be able to hand off things to her a few weeks before the wedding. On the day, she was there to hand us a glass of fizz when we arrived to the spectacular set up she created that morning! I knew we could not only trust her organization skills but also her attention to detail so the room looked fabulous for our guests. We had absolutely nothing to worry about and could just get on with enjoying our day which is really the most important thing! Thank you so much Kate!

It is hard for me to express the value that Kate and Jessica added to our marquee wedding reception. Kate was so helpful from the start, always making time for us and being very proactive with suggestions and making sure everything is on track. Honestly, the whole day ran so smoothly that I know Kate & Jessica were doing a lot behind the scenes to make sure everything went perfectly. This meant we could just let our hair down and enjoy the wedding we had planned. We are so grateful for your support on the day and in the lead up and would highly recommend Foil Events. In fact, I would say having a coordinator is a must have for a DIY style wedding. Thank you so much for being so brilliant on Saturday, from the pre wedding pep talk to making sure all the Pizzas were eaten.
We had a ton of people coming up to us towards the end saying that it felt like an incredibly smooth wedding. You and your team are such pros and genuinely is the best thing we spent money on. Will be recommending to all who dare to do dry hire after us!

Kate and her team were the dream - all the admin and worry in the build up to the wedding vanished on the day in Kate’s very capable and reassuring hands, exactly what we needed to chill out and thoroughly enjoy our day without worrying about whether food would be on time or where I’d left the bouquet. Definitely worth the investment for a wedding with a few moving parts that need coordinating.

Kate, I don't even know how to thank you for helping us so much get our wedding set up and happen! When we first met with you I had no idea how little I knew, particularly about a dry hire venue, and you were incredibly patient and supportive in helping us work through what we needed, with us throwing new things and changes at you up until the day itself! We were recommended Kate through our photographer and we have to say that it was the best decision we made!
We spoke to Kate back in the summer of 2019 as we were planning our wedding for April 2020.
It still makes us smile to think how naïve we were back in March 2020 when we first walked around the venue, thinking we would be fine to be back there a few weeks later!
Despite all the hiccups and THREE wedding postponements, Kate guided us throughout and we couldn't done it without her. She put us at ease the first time we met as she really made the effort to get to know us and talk through exactly what we wanted.
She was super organised and went above and beyond to make sure our day was exactly how we wanted. She was on hand every time we needed her and able to help with any question we threw at her.
She really was invaluable and we would not hesitate it recommending her to others!

Kate was amazing. My husband and I had our wedding under a marquee at his parents’ house in the country - meaning we had to bring every single vendor and chair in ourselves. We further complicated things by having our guests stay in one town, our church in another town, and the house was effectively in the middle of nowhere. We thought we had it under control, until about 2 months before the wedding we realised we needed someone to help us with logistics on the day of, and some advice as we approached our wedding day.
Enter Kate. We interviewed a number of potential coordinators, but we felt so immediately comfortable with her we pretty much made up our minds on our first skype call with her. We just got the sense that she would get things done and make the right judgement calls if needed. And she did. Having her on board allowed us to enjoy our day - legitimately be present and soak in every moment. Things went wrong, the schedule definitely slipped by about an hour, but every time she would just discretely come tell us what was happening and how it was already handled. She’s just a very warm and calm person who feels trustworthy and reliable. On such an important day, that’s exactly who you want in your corner.
We set up a lot of our wedding the day before, but there are some things that just can’t be done until the day of the wedding. Neither me or my husband could do it. Kate took care of everything and it was set up just as we had discussed.
While Kate was our day-of coordinator, she supported us from the first time we spoke to her. She sent us an incredibly detailed information package where we ran through everything she would need to know. She gave us advice on our running order. We changed it as she came to walk through the venue. She liaised with our vendors - of which there were many. We were both quite surprised with how much value she added to our wedding well in advance.
My husband was skeptical about the need for a wedding coordinator. His view now is that Kate was the best money we spent on the wedding. She gave us so much advice and so many things to think about, then was integral in having it all come off. We would not have had such a perfect day without her. She helped us bring our vision to reality and we will always be so grateful to her for that.

Last week I was fortunate enough to spend time with Kate via a virtual pitstop planning session for my 2021 DIY/dry-hire wedding. As a bride who has spent the last few weeks feeling overwhelmed about progressing with the wedding plans, it was a breath of fresh air to hop on Zoom with Kate. She is incredibly friendly and professional. From the start it felt like I was chatting through our plans with a friend. The difference being that Kate's knowledge and expertise meant that she guided the conversation with complete ease and listened to all my ideas and questions. Kate shared lots of fantastic ideas and so many top tips that I came from the session with 3 full pages of notes. At the end of the Zoom call I felt completely re-energised, re-focused and ready to plan the BEST DAY EVER for my fiance and I. I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to Kate again as we progress in our wedding planning journey. We were lucky enough to have Kate as our on day coordinator for our Old Marylebone Town Hall and London pub wedding back in October and we are so so glad we did! I cannot imagine getting married without her, and it allowed us to be truly present in every bit of our wedding day which I know would not have been the case without her. Everyone says it goes so fast, and it really does. So after spending a fortune on the rest of the day why would you not then invest in the one cost that really allows you to put aside all the plans in your head, forget your Trello board, and handover the reigns to just have the BEST DAY EVER and enjoy all the fun you have painstakingly planned. We had our reception at a London pub who is building their experience in hosting weddings and wanted someone who would make sure our vision came to life and keep a slightly chaotic day with multiple locations and spaces organised, to time (and manage our going rogue with timings like a pro), and interact with all our suppliers on the boring bits so we didn't have to.
With Kate it's not just a stranger behind a clip board for 8 hrs on the day, but a proper hero on your side in the run up who also happens to be a super fun, lovely mega babe as well as being excellent at her job, allowing more time for drinking post dinner Espresso martinis with your guests and on the dance floor with that band you spent months looking for. Book Kate, you won't regret it! You'll just be sad when it's over and don't get to hang out with her anymore. Jessica & James xxx
