Had a lovely homemade cream tea in the cafe. The short talk about Bedern Hall was interesting and good to see this hidden bit of history in York.

Had great catch up over afternoon tea with a glass of prosecco. On offer with Travelzoo £25 for 2 people. Everything homemade. Delicious. Tried a lavender scone. Would definitely return.

The hall has information about the Vicars Choral, who originally inhabited the building. I highly recommend the tearoom as they have lovely cakes.

Great place for a coffee or a glass of wine. Well off the beaten track, but just a few minutes walk from the shambles. Lovely, tranquil setting,in a medievil hall. Very friendly, welcoming staff.
