A. J.When looking for a venue, being able to host our friends and family for the whole weekend was the most important part for us. Hornington ticked those boxes and more! We loved being able to start our celebrations on the Friday with a BBQ and our closest family were able to stay with us until the Monday which meant we could stay in our wedding bubble for a little longer. The venue and grounds are stunning! The shepherds huts were built after we booked Hornington and they are a gorgeous addition which guests loved! The barn was big enough to accommodate our large wedding guest list but still felt so intimate. The wedding day went so smoothly and we could put our complete trust in the team to give us the day we could only have dreamed of having. Huge thankyou to Jo and the team for looking after us, our friends and our family (particularly those that didn’t step away from the bar!) We can’t wait to come back to stay and relive the best weekend of our lives!

From the moment we first visited you have all been so warm and supportive, helping us imagine our wedding day and what we could accomplish. The wedding barn is a beauty in itself but the ability to have all our nearest and dearest on site for the whole weekend, especially after Covid separated so many of us for so long, was incredibly special. Watching our nieces and nephews play hide and seek around the manor house whilst we sipped our drinks as the sun set made us realise how lucky we were to find such a beautiful venue. J. R. M.We've provided numerous acts over the years to this venue including wedding and function bands and our Sax & DJ package. One of our favourite venues that works incredibly well in accommodating for live music and an excellent party atmosphere!
The staff are consistently extremely professional and welcoming, the food is always brilliant and the venue is so beautiful. An absolute must visit for any bride and groom to be!

A. C.Stayed the weekend for a wedding. Beautiful place. Rooms were smaller than I expected but the beds were comfy. Our kitchen wasn't as well equipped as the others. With 5 adults and 3 teenage kids we struggled to fine enough cups for a coffee. My first one had to be drunk out of a soup bowl.

A. B.We had the most amazing wedding day at Hornington Manor. The Coronavirus pandemic meant that we had to make a number of changes to our original plans however Jo and her team at Hornington Manor were so accommodating, understanding at flexible with our requests. Unfortunately we had to postpone the date twice due to the restrictions and also limit our guest list substantially but Jo was able to offer us new dates and arrangements which suited us perfectly.
We couldn't have wished for a better day given the restrictions and much of this was down to the fact that we had such a perfect venue. The accommodation is stunning, all of the rooms are well designed and comfortable. The communal areas are perfect for the whole wedding party and the house makes a perfect back drop. We would throughly recommend Hornington Manor for your wedding, however large or small!

L. A.Great wedding venue, beautiful historic manor house with a versatile wedding venue barn, with VIP chill out area, bar, very clean wc facilities . The manor house consists of an array of communal high end decor and furnishings with speciality beds allowing wedding parties to cater for there communal needs in there beautifully designed, well equipped farmhouse kitchens. Very helpful staff.
S. S.Beautiful place - great for events, they also have their own farms, for sheep, alpacas, horses and more - also a hemp,wool/yarn processing plant located there too - BEWARE of the friendly little bird that likes to perch upon your shoulder
H. V.Beautiful location and venue, beds to die for. The accomodation is well appointed and very practical for a wedding party. Rather nice to just walk to your room at the end of the night. As family coming from afar, great to have this beautiful space to get together before the big day.

L. C.Have just attended a wedding. Stayed in a 'Shepherds hut' .Fully equipped for all our needs. The barn setting for wedding breakfast was amazing. Can't fault the staff, they were very friendly and attentive. Surroundings are peaceful and idilic. One tiny criticism....as its a working farm with large vehicles needing access it would be helpful to mark out permitted parking to avoid having to move already parked vehicles.
M.I booked a night over the bank holiday weekend at the shepherds hut. I was truly amazed at the location and the quality of the furnishing within the hut, it had a dishwasher, fridge, oven and hob, cutlery, lovely lighting throughout, plenty of windows and doors for fresh air, everything you need to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing weekend. Lovely waking up to the sound of sheep bleating in the background, not a sound to be heard at night.
We visited York and Leeds during our stay, both locations were approx 20-25 mins drive.
We will definitely be coming back and recommending to friends and family.

K.This the most amazingly beautiful place. We had a long weekend here for a wedding. The staff were perfect, just what you would want. There if you need anything but not invading at all. The house itself accommodates practically every need. Spotless clean and equipped with everything you would need and more. If you're wanting to play pool, maybe take your own cue as the ones provided are well used. We had bbq and a hot tub which was great in the well kept gardens. Car parking is plentiful. I just didn't want to go home. It was so perfect.The wedding was romantic and special and every guest was made to feel welcome. No faults, no moans, it was wonderful.

J. N.We had a wonderful stay in a shepherd's hut at Hornington Manor over the weekend. What a lovely place to wake up, with views over the fields and lambs just a few metres away. The bed was amazing and everything was brand new inside. There was everything we needed for a few nights away - we could have stayed longer! Great location for access to York and there are plenty of great restaurants in the area - Rythre Arms, Sun Inn, Sarpori di Napoli, etc. We'll definitely be back soon.

Some bedrooms on small side but all on suit. Bedding so comfortable, all guests slept very well. We were around 40 guests for pre wedding gathering and enjoyed the space comfort and pleasant surrounding

S. E.Great country Manor, catering for wedding, conference and it's also been used for tv period dramas. You can even spend the weekend there in the shepherd's huts, about 9 huts all furnished.
B. B.We were very lucky to get our wedding in before covid in February and we couldn't of asked for a more perfect weekend. From arriving on Friday to leaving on Sunday, Jo and the team thoroughly looked after us, even quickly organising a generator due to a power outage caused by the storm! We loved that the venue had enough character we didn't have to add a lot, but being able to add our own touches made it really special. We'd 100% recommend for anyone looking for a personalised, well-looked after, (post covid) family and friends wedding.
