I was considering retirement so needed professional advice about pensions before making decisions about how to proceed. I had initial meetings with three different financial advisers, one of which was Midwinter Financial Planning. It was clear from this first meeting that Daniel had a clear grasp of what I wanted to achieve, and was able to explain things clearly to me. He had done a great deal of work before we even met by asking for some basic information prior to meeting. Since then we have had a few more meetings at which Daniel presented his detailed report on my options going forward. I am pleased to say that I decided to follow the findings of his report. I would have no hesitation to recommend Midwinter Financial Planning to anyone requiring the services of a professional and responsive Financial Adviser.

I contacted Midwinter Financial Planning 4 years ago to help me with my personal pension. Daniel Midwinter helped me to understand and make the most of my available pensions. Approaching retirement I sought advice regarding my pension options. Daniel was able to illustrate these in layman's terms, making the decision making process quite straight forward. Daniel, unfortunately, cannot control the world markets, but is always at the end of the telephone or email, to answer any questions or concerns we may have. This brings peace of mind that we are leveraging our investments as we would wish. Whilst, clearly, Daniel is offering a professional service, our relationship feels closer than that, his annual visits to our home in Norfolk, having the feel of a social catch-up rather than a financial one. I approached Midwinter Financial Planning with a plan to release some funds for my daughters house purchase from my savings and pension funds. Daniel was easy to talk to and was quick to understand my situation. After considering my case, Daniel explained that my plans were well founded and there was no need for me to become a client and enter into a service agreement. I was pleasantly surprised and very grateful for the honesty and integrity Daniel had shown. I am not particularly financially astute and could quite easily have been persuaded into a business relationship. But Daniel spoke in a simple, friendly manner, he did not try to baffle me with financial jargon, and there was no attempt to coerce, bully or frighten me into paying for advice that I did not need. I have approached large financial organisations before and found the advisors treat you as an opportunity to extricate money from your hard earned savings whether you need help or not, just to increase their own quota. I felt that Midwinter Financial Planning was a small friendly business that treated me personally, with my own interests at heart. I will happily return to Midwinter Financial Planning the next time I need advice.
