As a first time buyer with very little knowledge of how the processes worked, I couldn't recommend Susanne from Slater Hogg Mortgages enough. She was incredibly helpful in explaining in simple terms how mortgages, purchasing and the various legal elements all worked. And in the end she helped secure me a great mortgage and worked very quickly to meet deadlines we faced from other parties. Really appreciate the excellent service and I've already encouraged other friends that are looking to buy a house, to get in touch with them!

As a first time buyer I had no clue about the whole house buying/mortgage process and Gary was such a brilliant support every step of the way! He has such an engaging and helpful manner, nothing was every any bother or an issue to him and he made the whole process seamless - definitely reducing the stress for me in all aspects of buying my first home from putting my offer in, securing my mortgage to liaising with my lawyer also. Very helpful. We dropped in to say we were interested in a house they were selling but there was only 15min left for sealed bids to get in. They got our bid in and sorted a solicitor in just 10mins. We didn't get the house in the end but stayed with them and ended up getting a better house. Claire was brilliant as our mortgage broker and we will be staying with them when it comes to remortgaging.

I had an unusual source of income & a high LTV. I found it difficult to source a lender. Slater Hogg were honest & worked with me to get me a deal. Despite a few sweats we got there & I'm now in my beautiful flat. I paid a fee to Slater Hogg for the service but I had contact with a few 'free advisors' & none of them placed my mortgage.
