A. L.David Snelling has been managing our portfolio for over 5 years. He has been giving us tremendous help in growing our assets. Not only did he make a lot of efforts to revamp our portfolio at the start, David continuously updates us a few times a year. The first lesson we learned from David is the hidden charges of various funds, how some financial advisors usually get their commissions from fund houses (instead of their clients), and how tricky for us to get out of a fund without penalties. My husband and I trust David as he represents us. He has vested interest in the performance of our funds, so he works particularly hard to grow it, rather than selling us whatever is on their plates, and walks away.
David also gave us financial advice on tax planning as we prepared our migration from Hong Kong to the UK. He held our hands to understand the tax difference, and to realign our assets so as to avoid falling into various traps. He also identifies the next steps to meet our retirement needs and possible inheritance tax to our children.
