Reviews of Cult Wines Ltd
E. I.
Whilst a new arrival as an investor to Cult Wines, my experience to date, has been a positive one. Overseeing purchases my advisor Jonathan Stevenson has delivered everything as promised, never failing to offer multiple options in tune with my investment preferences.
Its early days but it would seem a 10% pa return will be achievable. Also worth noting is and well presented online access to the portfolio.

I've been with Cult Wines since start of 2016. Jonathan Stevenson has been my trusted advisor all the time. Very good advice so far. Stock sold has had an average gain of 66%. Very impressive for the short period.
My wife also had the pleasure to visit them. This was important to us being a foreign investor. Cult Wine and Jonathan have my full support and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

I'm a relatively new wine investor, and so the 5 stars are based on my experience so far., which has all been on the buying side...I can't yet testify to the long term value of my portfolio, or it's future liquidity!
As has been mentioned elsewhere in reviews Jonathan, my advisor at Cult Wines, is enthusiastic to a fault and I feel that sometimes a more personalised approach would be useful, rather than a blanket offering of all the deals that Cult Wines have.
I think the team seem to work very efficiently, and a couple of small glitches I've encountered were sorted out smoothly. I very much like the ease with which I can view my portfolio online.
I'm likely to continue to invest with Cult Wines and will be very happy if they can begin to offer a more tailored service to me based on what they now know of my current investment.
I would certainly recommend them!

I’ve trusted Cult Wines with my wine investments for a few years now and I am a very pleased with the all-encompassing service. Decisions are made easily with plenty of supporting analysis and I have total confidence in my portfolio manager’s (Jonathan) ability to manage my the account with my best interest in mind. At first I was a tad sceptical, and dare I say, the returns projected seemed too good to be true but within two years I was receiving recommendations to sell wines which had increased significantly in value. Margaux 2015 was one of the best investments I have ever made! Recently, Jonathan has also advised me to sell some of the underperforming wines in the portfolio and since we have redeployed the proceeds into areas where I am already starting to reap the benefits. I can track my portfolio online and Jonathan is always on hand to provide insight as and when necessary. I have gladly recommended Cult Wines to friends and will be happy to do so going forward. If you are looking to diversify into fine wine then look no further for your service provider – CW are the best in the business!

Cult Wines have the trading portion of my cellar, which I have built up since 2016. They’re knowledgeable, enthusiastic and professional. For the sums involved, their admin isn’t perfect, but errors are corrected immediately. Both on the way in and when selling wines, the process is smooth and delivers excellent results.
My advisor is Jonathan. He’s a typical sales guy, always pitching ideas, always hungry to get you a deal (& himself some commission). There are days when he’s too effervescent and I’m busy. Nevertheless, I find I have a knowledgeable, caring professional on whom I can rely. Having initially taken his recommendations with some success, we built an investment strategy together which is proving singularly successful.
I’ve also shipped wine to them from my other holdings and they’ve produced pretty good sales levels in a short time.
If you’re serious about wine, serious about wine investing and are willing to commit decent levels of funding, in my experience these guys will deliver an excellent result for you. Compared to putting my money in the bank, they are delivering 10%+ pa for me. I have recommended them a few times to others, so far all have been happy.

I have been a client of Cult Wines for over five years and throughout that time Jonathan Stevenson has been my account manager and trusted investment adviser. The quality of his investment advice and guidance has been very impressive and the value of my portfolio has increased consistently and significantly.

I have been a client for over 2 years and have built up a sizeable portfolio, which now spans the globe, including Bordeaux, burgundy,Italy, Australia and the Americas. Once I had got over the shock of how much I was paying for wine, the more expensive ( and exclusive) the wine the greater potential for growth.
As my portfolio grew l became more anxious, so arranged to visit the bonded warehouse in tilbury dock, and was impressed with the levels of security, and was guided down aisles of fine wine to my selected cases, all coded amongst 150,000 cases.
I have been very happy with the advice and support of cult wines, especially my manager daniel. He realises that I enjoy information, so will often send extensive reports to justify buy recommendations. The detail of the reports are impressive, such as the micro climate between right and left banks of Bordeaux. We have good lines of communication, and talk regularly.
It is very easy to keep tabs on the portfolio, with online access. Each wine has a considerable amount of background info. I also enjoy the articles on the wine blog.
My portfolio has grown in excess of 10% pa, but has been helped by the stellar performance of a few.
Sales seem to happen smoothly, just have to wait a few weeks for account to be settled.
One reason I chose fine wine investment is that it is immune from capital gains tax.
I can unreservedly recommend cult wines, as my experience has been very positive.
Whilst the initial fee of 15% seems expensive, this covers purchase and sales, insurance and cellar fees. With good investment advice and a 5 year investment strategy, this can easily be recovered.
As my dad used to tell me "you get what you pay for".......

I have found Cult Wines to be very responsive and attentive in offering me wines they correctly thought I might be interested in. I like their payment structure too, taking their commission on the purchase price (instead of out of your profit when you sell as other suppliers do) is an excellent model for investment wine.

I've was looking for an entry point into champagne for some time given the current buzz in the market. Cult Wines sourced me below market DP P2 (2000). Now let’s just hope the market co-operates and it goes up in price.
