Very straight talking, trustworthy individuals, clear advice and don’t over promise. Solid, well researched advice and always available to discuss. I have always been reassured by Realm’s attention to detail when managing my investments. For example, they identified that my previous investment platform had not acted properly or in my best interest... I was not aware of the problem. Realm fought on my behalf for close to 3 years, eventually taking the case to the Ombudsman who ruled in my favour which resulted in a significant compensation payment to me. To their credit Realm did not charge me for all the work they undertook. I am still really impressed by that.

Let’s be honest, Financial Pension Advisors are somewhat like dentists, when you find a good one you hang onto them. My wife and I were introduced to Eugene Lawlor some years ago by a friend. For too long we had the attitude that it would be alright when we retired. We were also concerned that our lack of pension knowledge would mean we were not taken seriously or chastised for delaying in acting. We could not have been more wrong. We originally set up a no obligation call and meeting with them to discuss our financial position. The approach of Realm is to ascertain the clients’ knowledge and expectations and tailor and advise their response accordingly. Everything was explained in a language that we understood and gave us comfort that these people know what they are talking about. Since our initial transfer of funds into one of their SIPP’s we have subsequently now put all our various pensions we have had over the years into their hands. Their online services are easy to follow, we can look at our investments at any time to see how they are doing and the summary page, which is what most people are probably interested in, gives a snapshot of the current financial position. The online reports also give a breakdown into all trading activities, yields, etc. for those who understand this. Communication with Realm is as you would expect, Zoom, e-mail, booking a “catch-up” call and even the old-fashioned way by using the telephone. There is always someone on the end of the phone to assist. In these difficult times we have been impressed with how pro-active they have been with our “pension pots” and how resilient our SIPP’s have been.
