After years of persistency and relevant guidance by CSM, helped me understand the importance of having the right health insurances. Living abroad as an expat on my 10th year, coming from a country with free health benefits took me some convincing, but seeing people around me getting sick or having an accidents. I’m quite happy I made the right choice and got the whole family insured, within the first year my (now) x spouse contracted a heavy kind of ulcer Hospitalizing her 4 times in first year alone, expenses exceeding the premium I paid by 8x, I could have paid for it out of pocket yes, but having the insurance cover before she got sick means she is covered for life, and expense I would have hard time keeping up with in the long run. Thankfully I have not yet had to claim anything myself, but I am getting older. Knowing that I don’t need to worry about hospital bills could save my life!!
