Carol was so helpful and kind from start to finish when I chose to order my wedding flowers. She was full of helpful suggestions, when I had no idea where to start. The end result was beautifully finished bouquets and button holes, all fresh flowers and each slightly different to make me, my Dad, my Groom, my bridesmaid and the Best Man all co-ordinate but be individual. I'd enquired at other florists in the area which failed to impress and went with Ralph & Rita because they were so personal and really seemed to care. The Spring Beauty arrangement in a Sea-grass basket which I ordered online for my Brother-in-law's funeral, was delivered perfectly on time and they were absolutely beautiful! We were unable to attend so I have only seen them on a photo and on video. My sister said they are gorgeous and the perfume from the freesias is lovely. I had difficulty with the payment, as for some obscure reason the website didn't recognise my Credit Card, but a quick phonecall (I was calling from overseas) and it was sorted from their end in no time. Also a query via Email regarding the handwritten card was also completed with ease and efficiency. All in all, Contact and Flowers = Excellent! I've used this florist for the last 5 years for sending flowers to my wonderful Mum. I've never been disappointed, the flowers and arrangements are first class. Today my mum has received the most wonderful basket (Radiant basket) of lovely flowers which really put a smile on her face. The basket means no need to try and find a vase and arrange the flowers herself and the quality of flowers and arrangement is stunning. I know I can rely on the quality and care being there and would go nowhere else.

Such a great service I rang yesterday and ordered flowers for a friend’s birthday. Although the shop was really busy, the lovely lady told me she would get the flowers delivered that day. When they weren’t delivered, I rang back today. Turned out I had been having a totally silly moment and had given both the wrong address & telephone number. Despite the fact that it was my error, the lady was so lovely and assured me that she would resend the flowers today to the correct address. If you’re looking for a good, dependable and reliable florist in Colchester then stop here, because you’ve found them. I have been using Ralph & Rita Martin for over 20 years, since they had a shop in the town centre, and in that time I have not had one bad experience. I’m that awkward customer who has always wanted something a bit different from the HUGE range already available on their website, and not once has it been a problem. The flowers are extremely reasonable but to be honest, for me at least, that is not the main selling point. The customer service is absolutely brilliant, nothing is too much trouble and they are happy to help if you are short on inspiration! But mostly, they are lovely, friendly people who understand that the flowers you are sending mean so much more than an order number, and they go above and beyond to make your ideas happen. And if this all sounds too good to true - don’t hesitate, find out for yourself!

Excellent. Wanted flowers for my mum, to be delivered same day. Wished an autumnal feel to the bouquet rather than early Christmas colours but apart from that, left it to the florist. What arrived was a beautiful display full of autumn colour and added berries/leaves. Brown coloured paper inset to the packaging added to the autumnal request. Delivered same day to specified time and even though the deliveryman had a 'battle' to leave them with my mum (who was sure they weren't for her), he did a fine job in convincing her. On the basis of the full service from first phone call to delivery I have every reason to recommend and will definitely use again. Thank you to all involved.

This afternoon Sadie very kindly sent me photos of the sheaves made up, as i will not be seeing them at the Funeral. Me and family went in and ordered some flowers for my mum's funeral which was this week. One wreath didn't have the right flowers that was chosen and the main spray was 2 foot but we asked for 3 foot. So the main spray was to little to sit on top so they had to put the wreaths on top instead of round the side. A little disappointed there. but the other wreaths where lovely and friendly staff.
