As a bride that knows very little about flowers, I wanted a florist who just knew and understood my vibe, and who would magic something up. Adelaide did exactly that... and more.
My husband and I kept changing our minds about what we wanted, where and what our budget was, and Adelaide met us every step of the way and guided us through it, suggesting ideas for installations and table displays, sharing pictures for my bouquet and coming up with different ideas for the bridesmaids.
The flowers she did for our wedding ceremony reduced me to tears as they were being prepared, and then the next day to see the beautiful display go over the venue entrance took my breath away. The bouquets were absolutely perfect and smelled divine.
Adelaide is such a joy to work with, she just got what we wanted (without us really knowing) and made it happen. I cannot recommend her enough. We hadn't realised how big a part of our day flowers would be and how important they would be, until we met her!

Adelaide went above and beyond all of our expectations for our Wedding Day. From the very beginning I knew Adelaide would do a fantastic job and she really didn't disappoint. The flowers not only looked unbelievable, but smelled good enough to eat, filling the church and Gosford House with perfume and colour.
Nothing was too much, from arranging flowers for our Cheese Wedding Cake and picking out flowers for our bridesmaids hair in colours perfect to match their dresses to sourcing the perfect baskets for confetti.
Adelaide and I met a couple of times at the venue at Gosford House in East Lothian to talk through ideas and see what could go where. Being based in London meant that Adelaide and I spoke weekly either by phone or email, sending though ideas and photos of the kind of things I liked. We would highly recommend using Adelaide to sort out all your flower needs!

It was a total pleasure working with Adelaide. She’s creative, talented, and her passion for local and seasonal flowers really chimed with what we wanted for our wedding. She was amazing at interpreting the ideas that came up as we chatted, and we ended up with flowers that suited our day absolutely perfectly. The bouquets for me and my bridesmaids were super colourful and so gorgeous.
She is also totally on top of things and responsive during planning, which is always reassuring but as we were planning the wedding from Canada, it meant a lot! Somewhere along the line, my new husband and I had got a bit confused and we ended up with a different marquee style than the one we’d told Adelaide we were having (sorry!!) but she took it totally in her stride and adapted her planned installation on the spot so that we still had beautiful flowers decorating our reception. I’m so grateful for how calmly she dealt with that!
I can’t recommend her highly enough. Thank you again, Adelaide!

I got married in July this year and asked Adelaide to take care of all things floral for our big day. Right from the beginning I know we were in safe hands. After meeting Adelaide and taking time to talk through all our ideas, general themes for the day and our budget, Adelaide took notes and sent through some ideas and sketches for the table displays and installations. Adelaide had perfectly interpreted all of our inspirations and tastes to come up with beautiful, wild floral displays that really brought the countryside into our city-centre venue. There were countless compliments on the flowers and how they were arranged with candles, terracotta pots and moss; in fact, the compliments are still coming! Adelaide made each of my 8 bridesmaids beautiful floral hair-combs and the 3 flower girls had gorgeous fresh flower crowns. The button-holes for the groomsmen were delicate and intricate and perfectly complimented the bridal party's flowers. The day before the wedding, my original plan of a homemade bridal bouquet failed and Adelaide saved the day right at the last minute by creating a stunning bouquet for me. I cannot recommend Adelaide's Secret Garden enough. She handled everything with ease and ensured that our venue, bridal party and groomsmen all looked stunning! Adelaide's prices were very reasonable and it was an absolute pleasure to get to know her in the lead up to the wedding. Thank you!

Adelaide did the flowers for our wedding in November and we couldn't have been happier with them. As we lived in London at the time of planning the wedding we didn't get to meet Adelaide until the day before the wedding. Several other florists that we had contacted had not replied, but Adelaide was extremely reliable at getting in touch throughout the planning stage. Adelaide and I spoke often on the phone and she completely took on board our ideas and also gave some really great suggestions of what could work and what would be in season. We really wanted lots of greenery and textures and something more interesting than some of the standard wedding flowers that you see and Adelaide did an amazing job of delivering this - they far surpassed what we imagined and got lots of positive comments on the day. The arrangements went perfectly with our venue and the time of year and we are so glad that we went with Adelaide and would definitely recommend her to others.

We couldn't have asked for a better florist!
Adelaide did the flowers for our wedding in February. My husband and I live in London so most communication was down via email and phone. Adelaide was very responsive and came up with some wonderful ideas for our day.
We wanted a relaxed feel to our day and for flowers to be natural with pops of colour to compliment the season. The flowers were perfect and exactly as we had discussed. Our guests all commented on how beautiful and in keeping with the venue the arrangements were.
Adelaide found us a lovely variety of seasonal flowers (quite a challenge for Feb in Scotland!) The colours in the bouquets and arrangements worked perfectly with our theme.
Thank you so much Adelaide, you were a pleasure to work with!

It was great working with Adelaide and our wedding flowers were amazing! Living in London and getting married in Scotland meant we didn't actually meet till the day before the wedding but it was so easy to talk to Adelaide on the phone and exchange images by email. It was also a bit of a challenge that we were having the ceremony in a polytunnel which neither of us had seen and wouldn't till the week before however, Adelaide researched the venue and I knew I could trust her to ensure it looked great on the day! I loved all the different varieties of seasonal flowers that Adelaide used something I think is unique and can set your wedding apart. We were so pleased with the end result and we had so many compliments from our guests.

Absolutely loved our flowers for our big day, they got a lot of compliments from other guests too!! I knew I wanted a bit more of the ‘wild’ style, and Adelaide definitely delivered while still managing to throw in some colours I wanted. You can tell how passionate Adelaide is and she seemed genuinely excited when helping us set up for our big day. Would highly recommend her to anyone.

I couldn't have been happier with the flowers Adelaide did for our wedding! The whole process working with her was great fun and she managed to make sense of my jumbled up thoughts and pile of pictures. The flowers were a real talking point on the day and suited the venue perfectly. Adelaide was so flexible and relaxed. When I asked for another big piece 2 days before the wedding she was unfazed and came up with a wonderful solution within hours! Xxx

Adelaide was the perfect florist for our wedding day! She was very perceptive to our needs as not only did she understand our vision for a slightly more wild and informal approach to the flowers, but she was able to fulfill the wishes of the mother of the bride as well.
She handled all aspects of the wedding flowers; from the delightful head pieces, bouquets and button holes to the decorated candelabra in St Giles Cathedral and playful hanging hops in the marquee - all of which we loved.

Adelaide produced the most amazing flowers for our wedding. She gave so much of her time to listen to what I was visualising which therefore meant she totally understood our needs. She also checked in with me the whole way through the process, keeping me up in the loop with all the details.
The end result really was more than we could have hoped for. The flowers were totally stunning, and commented on by so many of our guests. She created so much more than just simple flower arrangements, by using what was available in the area at the time, along with some bought in flowers she pulled together very impressive and unusual decorations. Adelaide was a total joy to work with. I couldn't recommend her highly enough to anyone looking for a very creative florist.

Adelaide was absolutely amazing! She was so easy and flexible to work with, listened to all of our ideas, and then created bridal bouquets, boutineers, and flowers that were absolutely stunning. Could not recommend her more.

Adelaide did the flowers for the Commanderie de Bordeaux a Edimbourg at our Fete de la Fleur in June. Her flowers were stunning - they looked so natural, just as though they were growing there. Everything she used was sourced locally and the effect was spectacular. We will definitely use her again and would recommend her highly.
