I took the three-day course at Judith’s flower school early this month and it was great fun! I was so surprised that the course was so well-organised and professional though it was only for three days! All the materials were so well-prepared and surprisingly great especially those gorgeous fresh flowers!! Judith and her teaching team, Tom and Pip always ensured that we understood their instructions and answered our questions in great detail. And Julia was also very kind and helpful in explaining the differences among the Judith’s books. This helped me choose the right books for my future self-leaning! Beyond enjoying my time at this lovely place in South Kensington, I learned practical skills that made me confident in arranging flowers and creating my own floral design. And also, during the three days, I made a few floral works such as the handtied bouquet and the table designs. I gave them to my roomie, my teacher in uni for farewell, and the church. People who received them were all very happy and surprised! I did gain the joy of sharing flowers!!!! The Chinese saying goes ‘no comparison, no harm’. Judith’s course was the best comparing among other courses that I took in both England and China. Can’t recommend more!！

I have just completed the Three Days of Flowers course with Judith and her team and I cannot recommend it enough. This course is perfect for those who want to learn about the main aspects floral design, but in a shorter space of time. The level of care in ensuring the class were understanding the steps of each floral design was extremely high. Judith and her team always ensured that we felt comfortable to ask questions and that we worked at our own pace. From initially feeling quite unsure of my abilities and skills, after 3 days of learning, I now feel confident to work with flowers and use my imagination to create my own designs. I highly recommend it and will be returning to the school soon!

Judith was an amazing lady who allowed her students to not only learn from herself but also from different tutors who were excellent in their areas. She also created the classes in an enjoyable ambiance . I participated in the 1 week Intensive Floral Design Class and it was a very good exposure and learning experience as we have students from all over the world to participate and sharing of experiences. Judith is also very helpful to ensure those overseas participants were well taken care of. The New Covent Garden Flower Market experience was another super plus point. There, she explained to us how to pick and differentiate the freshness of the flowers , the good flowers distributors and so on. Overall, it definitely worth my trip to fly in to London to join the 1 week class. This was the same feeling shared among other overseas participants. I shall look forward to return for other classes again in the future.

I highly recommend Judith and her school. Her teaching style is very clear and inclusive. I have just returned to Vancouver, Canada after attending the Judith Blacklock Flower School. This is the fourth country where I have attended a floral school. As each course involves an investment of time and money I research thoroughly before I attend and I go into it with HIGH expectations. As an absolute beginner in flower arrangements, I didn't build my expectations too high. After a concise explanation followed by 20 minutes of practice guided by Judith, I felt as if I had been making bouquets all my life. Have just completed Three Days of Flowers at the Judith Blacklock Flower School and would thoroughly recommend the course and experience. I was bought the one day flower arranging taster course for my birthday as I love flowers, whic I attended last Saturday 02 Sept. I throughly enjoyed myself, and Judith and her assistant, Tom, could not have been nicer or more helpful to the whole class. I recently attended Judith's introduction to flower arranging course and really enjoyed the whole experience. I attended the one day taster with Judith in January 2016 and absolutely loved it! I was given the day as a birthday present by my boyfriend - he knew that I wanted to explore floristry as a (change of) career and this was the perfect course as an introduction. There were others who just wanted to spend a day learning about and enjoying flowers and I think it served both purposes very well. We learnt a table arrangement and a tie bouquet, both were fantastic fun and beautiful. Judith was wonderful, encouraging and ever so happy to answer questions - I'm really pleased I got to spend a day learning from her years of experience. If you're looking for a cheap course (and I'm not sure one actually exists), this isn't for you, but if you're looking for a course that will give you a solid introduction, a wonderful day out and a memory to treasure, then this is definitely it. In my book it was certainly worth the money (think what the flowers must cost). And the flowers themselves? Absolutely stunning!

I took part in the Parties, Events and Festive Entertaining course last week and I must say it was a huge success. I could not recommend this course highly enough, Judith herself was on hand every day with her extensive knowledge, pleasant manner and keen interest in each and every one of us on the course. Judith also had experts in various areas to bring their wealth of knowledge to the course and teach us their own very unique style. Also, Tom who's Judith second pair of hands in house was fantastic, very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly Also Julia was very helpful and looked after us very well. The students on the course came from all walks of life, from retirees who have a love of flowers and were looking for more knowledge to create beautiful arrangements in their local churches, to retired business owners wishing to follow their passion for large arrangements to florists and even a pastry chef. The wonderful mix of students also came from various corners of the world and it was a real pleasure to get to know each and every one of them on a personal and floral basis. We have all exchanged emails so that we can keep in contact and share our further development. As stated I could not recommend this course highly enough, from my point of view it will help me progress my business on to the next level, it has given me confidence and all the tools needed to create these grande designs that I signed up to learn. I cannot speak highly enough of Judith Blacklock's "Business Floristry" course. Having previously completed two floristry courses in Korea (where I am from), I was a little concerned that I would be covering too much of the same ground, but the range and quality of Judith's course truly distinguishes it as something special. The course is suitable both for beginners, and for those who (like me) have some previous experience, but wish to hone their existing skills while also being introduced to more advanced techniques. Students receive tuition from several different teachers, all of whom are both professional and approachable. There is also a wonderful balance between practice and theory, with the course covering everything from the fundamentals of floristry as a career, right up to the advanced "fully-wired shower bouquet" technique. The students are made to feel extremely comfortable, being offered teas and coffees several times throughout the day (it might not sound like much, but it goes a long way) and I always felt as though the teachers were attentive to my individual needs and concerns. Finally, Judith works hard to secure each student work experience (according to their preferences) when the course is finished. I had two fantastic work placements, and gained some invaluable experience. Overall, taking this course was the best decision I could have made, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone who has an interest in floristry.

I attended Judith's 3 days of flowers course 8-10 June 2016. I had the most amazing time and enjoyed absolutely every minute of it. Being a novice to floristry I was feeling a little nervous but was very quickly put at ease by Judith's teaching style and having Tom on hand to help out as well. We created a number of individual arrangements that we were able to take home and 2 larger designs as a group. Judith and Tom taught us how to select and condition flowers to make sure our arrangements lasted as long as possible and also demonstrated techniques for us to try at home. A very informative trip to New Covent Garden flower market was also included. Also thanks to Julia for making sure that everything ran smoothly for us. I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone with an interest in flowers at any level. I will certainly be booking another course in the future.

I attended Judiths' one week floral design diploma corse on the 16th of may 2016. It was the most amazing experience. The school itself is situated in the most beautiful location, Which helps to create a relaxed working inviroment but at the same time we learned soo much in just one week. I've just completed Judith's 2 week Business of Floristry course. I would have no hesitation in recommending this course to anyone considering a career change into the flower industry. The course provides a solid grounding in all elements of running a floristry business, from core floristry skills to how to make the most of social media, shop window dressing, events....the list goes on!! I was astonished at what it was possible to achieve, having had no prior floristry training. The course was taught by Judith who is a wonderful teacher, along with a range of other inspiring tutors, all of whom brought their own styles and perspectives. The flowers we used were of beautiful quality, and the school itself is cosy and welcoming. There is also an opportunity to do work experience following on from the course which the school arranged for us. I recently just completed the 2 week professional business of floristry course. I can not say enough great things about Judith's! As soon as you enter the building you are greeted with a smiling face and a cup of tea. All of the tutors were amazing to work with. So patient and kind. They all want the same goal for every one of their students which is to succeed in what ever direction you go and to have a great understanding of the tasks learned! I attended Judith Blacklock School of Floristry on the 25th-29th of July for a one week intensive Floral Design Diploma. Before selecting this course I did extensive research into the courses offered around Europe and found this course to be one of the most intensive and information rich course offered over one week. It had the added bonus of being taught by such an esteemed floral designer. I wasn’t disappointed! Day one was straight to the point creating various arrangements. The most important part for me was learning all the techniques and steps to creating aesthetically pleasing arrangements following certain design criteria. As a yacht chief stewardess with a degree in interior design I have always been able to work with flowers and know what looks good and what doesn’t, but have never broken it down to analyse why an arrangement works and how to get it right time and time again. In my role as a Chief Stewardess it is essential that you are able to cater to every request with little notice. After completing the course I now feel a lot more confident working with flowers and wouldn’t falter if asked to create any style arrangement due to understanding the techniques and principals. It is very handy to know how to make an arrangement out of the last few surviving flowers and foliage on board when we are out at sea! All the arrangements taught could be transferred into many situations using a variety of flowers and foliage dependant on location, season and the occasion. I also enjoyed creating bouquets and button holes and has opened up a whole new array of ideas for me to create different displays and table decorations. The course was very hands on and I feel each of us 11 students got extensive one on one time with Judith and the three other tutors bought in. We used top quality flowers and obtained information on how to purchase and source the freshest flowers. I recommend all yacht stews interested in floristry to complete the course and have suggested it to my team. I also plan to do some training with my team after the season form everything I learned on the course. I loved the course so much I am going back in November to complete the parties and events course which covers wreaths, archways and large scale arrangements. I would thoroughly recommend Judith’s school to anyone interested in flowers and absolutely loved my week spent with her and her team. Judith is an excellent teacher and I look forward to seeing her again in November.

The school is located in the most divine area of London in a stunning little courtyard, The standard of teaching was impressive and not a moment was lost. We started at New Covent Garden Flower Market where Judith shared her passion and knowledge of flowers as we walked around fascinated by the enormous range of blooms. April-2016 One week Intensive Floral design Diploma Over the last couple of years I've taken some courses in my home town in floral design. It's something I do as a hobby. I decided I wanted to explore design in flowers in more depth and as I have links in London and Manchester it made sense to look into courses in these areas. Spoilt for choice, the Judith Blacklock Flower School in Knightsbridge really took my eye. They offer various courses, I chose the 5 day Floral Design Diploma course and when I made contact with the school they couldn't be more accommodating and helpful. The school is located in an inspiring environment which lends itself to creativity. All the teachers and especially Judith were so attentive and worked with us with such patience. We were provided with all materials including the most beautiful fresh flowers. I can't talk highly enough of the course. I highly recommend this school and hope to attend more courses in the future. I attended Judith's intense 2-week 'Professional Business of Floristry' course last Autumn and it was a truly life-changing couple of weeks! I'd been trading as a Florist for just a couple of months prior to attending the school having had no formal training (only practical work experience) and I found my confidence had taken a complete nose-dive and I'd started to question the sanity of what I was doing! I sat down one Thursday afternoon and typed some generic key words into the search bar to see what courses it might throw up. As a resident of Northern Ireland, I'd (perhaps too optimistically) hoped there'd be a suitable fast-track course available nearby but alas, it was not to be! Judith's school was one of the first search results I clicked on and to be honest, within about a half an hour of reading the information on her website, I'd made up my mind that this was the school I wanted to train with. I called up the school and spoke to the kindest lady; her name was Julia, who informed me there were still places on the course starting the following Monday. I took it as a sign, fate if you like, and said 'I'll take it!'. I booked a flight and headed across the water, stayed with a friend and attended what was to be the most amazing 2 weeks ever. The teaching was world class. We had so many different tutors over the course of the 2 weeks, from the GM of Mark Jacobs' London store who taught a session on visual merchandising to one of the most renowned floristry business minds in the US, who Judith flew over especially. We got real variety - theory, group work, flower demonstrations and probably the most useful, the many practical sessions we had on learning the techniques necessary to be an exceptional florist. Each day, we received guidance from Judith and her team on photographing our works for our portfolio and we were given special bags to ensure the safe transportation of our arrangements home. The whole thing was sensational. I don't have the words to express just how beneficial the whole experience was. The best money I ever spent - hands down! And to top it off, the ladies I trained with created a Whatsapp group to keep in touch and we all have done - it's been a great support to us all as we each embark on our own journey of self-employment in the floristry industry. Superb!! :)
