I joined the floral project in lockdown and found such pleasure in sowing and growing seeds. Yes it was an uphill battle at times, some seeds didn’t germinate at all, others got eaten by slugs but Nicola guided us through each step of the way and the fellow growers are such a supportive group of people. It becomes quite addictive- I’m now starting to take over veg beds as I have gotten better at germinating my seeds and then run out of space for them to grow on. There is so much pleasure in giving the flowers away to folks who seem to really appreciate receiving them. The courses Nicola runs are very informative and helpful and the amount of knowledge out amongst the other growers is amazing. I would really recommend this group as a way of learning, relaxing and giving back. Being in it makes me feel so good and I encourage others to join the ‘floral movement’ too 👍

The Floral Project is amazing. Not only has it allowed me grow my own flowers from seed, but has given me help, advice and friendly chatter amongst like minded people. I now feel part of a lovely community across the UK that are all growing and sharing tips together. I thank the project for filling my garden, and heart, with beauty.

I was fortunate enough to happen upon The Floral Project early last year. I am an avid gardener and what appealed to me was the wonderful suggestion of actually sharing my flowers with others. The idea of growing and giving away for others to enjoy was such a simple idea but I had not done it myself.
I also love the sharing and encouragement from other like minded people.
I live on a country lane and when ever I can I will pass on small bunches of flowers to people passing by.

I grow plants to raise money for a charity assisting young people with autism.
The support, advice, guidance and encouragement I have received from members of The Floral Project has kept me going when things have been difficult.
Thank you everyone

This is such an uplifting group of growers to be involved with. Such delight in growing and understanding that the fruits are for everyone. The Floral Project is an inspiration which brings together like minded people and is a force for good when it’s much needed. I am so happy to have found it.

Being a part of the Floral Project has led me to growing seeds that I have never even contemplated. My garden is full, and I do so enjoy giving posies and bunches away. Everyone loves a gift of flowers. I look forward to my lovely box of seeds arriving each month ...

Wonderful, friendly, helpful bunch of people. Life keeps getting in the way of my ambitions but, following the lovely people in the Floral Project keeps me trying to grow and gift my own flowers. I have high hopes for this summer ☀️
