We have just had 7 new internal doors fitted and I cannot speak highly enough of the experience. It was a two day job for two people and Russ and Allan were brilliant from beginning to end. They were professional, experienced and very knowledgeable, and friendly throughout. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the finished work and we would highly recommend them.

Since my review of a few weeks ago (below), I have had two internal doors, plus one external, replaced. One door was particularly tricky to fit since the frame is no longer square, but Russell and Alan did a really excellent job on all the doors, and I'm very pleased with them. They were also very careful not to make a mess in the house. Russell carried one of the doors up and down stairs several times so that he could plane it outside (on a dust sheet) to avoid shavings and sawdust inside. Highly recommended! Previous review: I have, so far, had four doors (2 external) replaced by NRT, a radiator cover made to measure, staircase spindles replaced, window frame repaired (sections replaced), and a window sash replaced. In all cases, the quality of the work and professionalism was exemplary. All the above work was done by Russell and Alan, who really make an effort to do the work to the highest standard possible. They are also friendly, relaxed and considerate, and generally a pleasure to have around.

Bought some 18mm ply from here so can only speak to that. Their worst quality stuff is better than the best you'd find at a big retailer by a long way and they stock some extremely good quality birch ply if you need it. Staff were great and do free cuts if so no need to buy or rent a plunge saw for me.

Bad communication with paying customers. Take your money up-front for a job, then leave you to chase them when it's finished; you've taken my money, the least you can do is give me a phone call ? - Obviously not. Having said that, the craftsmanship of the finished goods is superb, which earns them the 2 extra stars plus the 1 they would have received otherwise. All-in-all however, any good points I'm afraid to say, are outweighed by the bad points here and I would find it difficult to do business with them again in the future, sorry.

phoned up at about 13:00 on a Saturday to get some sheets of wood cut to length and they did it within an hour for an extremely reasonable price. really great customer experience, would recommend!
