I agree that this can be a treasure trove & a great place to find interesting odd bits & pieces. I've always found staff friendly. II enjoy the quirkiness of the place. Seems refreshingly "uncommercial" in that not money-grabbing or excessively priced. Plenty of bargains.

This place is amazing, so if you just see junk in such a place, then it's not for you. If you see beyond the junk, and appreciate all the history and beauty in such a place, then it's well worth a visit. The old website is still up, and says it opens at 10.00, but the lovely new owner's business hours are from around midday. We were there today and can't speak highly enough of the guy who is now in charge, he was incredibly helpful and great to do business with. We've been here a few times in the past before it changed hands, although it wasn't such a great experience then, but we'll definitely be returning for another visit soon.

Went in to look for a home desk to work from home, spoke with James who was really friendly and full of ideas. Ended up having and old School Science desk with hairpin legs made up, it looks great and was at a reasonable price. I will be going back to get a new TV stand made to match the desk.

This is a real treasure trove if you like a good hunt 😃

Great place to find basically anything you need! Went into new ownership earlier in 2020, James, friendly and very helpful! Ignore comments from before Nov 2020 as the old ownership have left, thank goodness!

What a great place for any one who loves exploring interesting old bits and pieces...things you would never find anywhere else..great for decorating..and furnishing a place with unusual and interesting items..it is filled with great furniture..fire places..old frames mirrors..desks..pots, pans, stuffed animals..farm equipment and bric a brac.. You can browse in a unhurried relaxed way...money is not really the object of the place...it's the stuff..the owner is a great bear of man... more like Bongo from rainbow..than a grizzly...he bustles about full of his own quixotic "savoir faire..".it's a great place
