Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Our visit lasted an hour and a half; it just flew by. We've been looking at sofa beds for a while, these are the best made we come across by far.

I now have wonderful sofabed which was assembled in my loft. I never expected a super king size to get up my narrow staircase but Furl managed it. And now I have the most beautiful sofa which with just one pull turns into a magnificent king size bed with a thick mattress allowing it to be used as an everyday bed. Went to see a bed settee that look really good on the website and was really impressed with the quality and design and was able to see how easily it converted to a bed and the quality of the frame and mattress was excellent. I had a day trip and travelled down to London September 2019, specifically to go to the Furl showroom. My mind was already half made up that I wanted a bed from there. The show room was smaller than I thought, however there were lots of beds in there and I got into most of them, raised and lowered all of them and had a good chat with David and his colleague about the beds, options and quality. It was so relaxed that one of the other potential customers there and I got into the same bed to test out "what it would be like if there was someone liking next to one", with shoes on. Tthe guys from Furl did not mind, if any thing were happy for us to try. I was very happy with the quality of the bed-frames ( and mattress though I did not buy a mattress) and the attention to detail. I did end up buying a bed-frame although not the one I originally thought I wanted. It was expensive for me but as it is my Forever Bed I am happy to pay for good quality. Also it was put together for me which was a massive bonus. Delivery was slightly delayed but communication about that was good so I knew what was happening which was great. Only thing missing was having the Wall beds at the showroom as that is something I would love buy.

This review should be caveated by the fact that I bought it online without visiting showroom. You can review precisely what I bought in March of this year below and verified by the email receipt from vendor. Should also note I have waited 6 months + to review so I could test it thoroughly. David was professional and generally well meaning throughout. The spec I eventually chose included premium leather fabric. I was sent A5 size samples from a company in Rochdale which was helpful. Skip to the delivery and I selected anytime after 14.00 on a Saturday. The delivery men were waiting at my house around midday when I arrived home with my family from taking son to his swimming lesson. When in my hallway, as I turned around with toddler in arms the 2 men, without asking, were unloading the sofa bed parts from the van heading straight towards us, where we had not even taken our shoes off. This led to a confrontation. Fortunately the more experienced of the two men helped diffuse the situation and gave us some time to prepare. It was a bad start. On to the product. It was a bit higher in back than expected, and it turned out I had been wrongly informed by David on that matter. Frankly I need not have paid the surcharge for the higher back. Looking back at my emails he was wrong on the back height by 10cm. I am quite sure this was a genuine error. The feet don’t touch the floor (hard wood) on either side (pictured) I was irritated that feet were an added extra in the first place and told it helps with balance if someone sits on the arms. They are twee in size and a full cm gap between bottom of feet and floor looks daft. The leather fabric didn’t match the sample in texture. Far smoother and less rugged. This maybe because the samples were old. Not sure but not as expected, generally more anodised and less characterful than I’d hoped. The sofa is basically very hard to sit on and not that comfortable for me personally. If you look at the design the seat cushions are hollowed to allow space for the mattress to fold below, can’t be much more than 8cm depth beyond the front of the seat cushions. So looking at the sofa from the front is deceiving, that is only the depth right at the front (pictured). Underneath is a folded metal bed frame so naturally hard. The cushions for this model are foam covered by feather/down . The feathers are lumpy and too coarse even under leather. To be honest I have no idea why they didn’t select softer feather/down or just have foam. We opted for the buttoned seat backs. Wish I hadn’t. Slightly uncomfortably stick out and hang precariously by a thread. Look good though. The Lampolet mechanism is excellent and well documented. Mattress is good enough and 2m length is excellent. There are considerably deeper mattresses on the market for Lampolets mainly in Europe like ARREDACLICK, upto 20cm, so at 14cm you will feel the frame under the mattress when moving about. Still about the best on the market in the UK. Gaps at the side are annoying and make it dangerous when babies / toddlers on bed as they fall down gaps and quite hard metal below. (Pictured) All of the added extra costs for some things like feet, that should have been included in the first place, left a bad taste. They definitely listen to their customers even after the purchase. However, they can be unresponsive for a couple of days or there might be slight delays. Great quality products and very nice people. Definitely recommend.

From making the first appointment, to visiting the showroom, to selecting the correct storage bed for me, to delivery and installation of the bed, I found the service to be exceptional. Before I made final selection on my bed and storage size, I took some of my own boxes to see how it fitted inside the storage section. Staff were very helpful in helping me choose fabric and style of headboard based on my bedroom theme and décor. These storage beds are certainly not cheap, however they are a great investment. The quality and craftsmanship of the mattress, bed frame and storage and headboard is excellent. Furl offer different depths of storage based on your requirements. They really are good storage solution for people who live in flats and don't have much storage space.

Showroom is highly recommended and definitely worth a visit. The staff are really friendly, attentive and super helpful. They answered all my many questions - yet also gave me the time and space to test out the furniture. I was able to measure up - and just sit back, lie down and curl up as I wanted - shoes on and off. I visited a few times before I placed my bed order - as I took my time deciding on which product, headboard, fabric and options. The professional staff replied to all my queries - whether in person, by phone, or email. I'm seriously contemplating buying a sofa bed from them too, as the space saving dimensions knock out many other high street/higher end furniture retailers. Do visit if you can.

We visited the showroom by appointment. The person who served us was courteous and professional. We were given access to all the sofa beds in the range and encouraged to try them out. The available options were clear and uncomplicated. All the sofa beds were made to a high standard. The mattresses are good enough for everyday use. Interest free credit was available. We bought a London in leather with storage arms. Perfect for our purposes and very stylish. All very straightforward and an altogether pleasant shopping experience.

We love our vasca sofabed from Furl. We’ve placed our order earlier this year as we were about to move to our flat. However, pandemic hit and there were delays moving into our flat. This review is from my partner who bought a sofa bed from Furl recently. 'Furl provided amazing service from start to finish - I needed a sofa bed to make the most of a very narrow spare room. We visited the show room where David was very helpful, and tested out some of the sofa beds. Once we decided to purchase we were in contact with David again as the space we were working with was so tight (less than a cm spare) so we sent measurements and photos of the space. Organising delivery was easy, and was in the expected time frame. Delivery men were great, putting it together in the room with no problems. We visited the Swiss Cottage showroom 2 months ago coming across the Furl website by chance. It is a fantastic showroom which has all their products on show and knowledgable staff to help you try out all the sofa beds. We were so impressed with the design that we ordered one. It was delivered today exactly to our specifications and was negotiated through a narrow hallway and up to the first floor without any problem. It was put together by two very competent guys in 20minutes. All of our contact with Furl has been a joy - and it is not often you can say that with a shopping experience!

We purchased a Super King Storage Bed. Very professional service from start to finish. Showroom staff were helpful and knowledgeable. The ordering and payment process was simple and arrangements for delivery, plus the delivery itself and assembly on site were handled efficiently and with no last minute dramas. Due to delays in having a new bedroom carpet fitted we asked on two occasions of the delivery to be delayed. This was no problem, in fact staff could not have been more accommodating and cooperative. It was useful to be able to try out the lifting mechanism for the beds (very easy to use) and look at the extensive range of samples. This is the 3rd bed we have purchased from Furl and the beds are brilliant - comfortable, easy to lift, lots of storage space etc. The showroom is light and airy but there are some stairs to climb. There are various bed designs, headboards and mattresses to choose from. The difference in the beds are clearly explained. There is no pressure to buy and you are free to wander round and try out all the beds, mattresses and pillows. There is no rush. Big choice of fabrics and colours. If you are looking for a custom made bed with lots of easily accessible storage this is the place to go.

My fiancé and I had been researching beds for some time before we stumbled across 'The Storage Bed Company' online a few years ago, which has since been renamed to Furl. We visited the showroom in Neasden and were very impressed - the owner was present on the day and was extremely knowledgeable about his products. The amount of storage in all of the beds, but specifically the Max, was significant and just what we required (for my ridiculously-sized shoe collection!). We had to wait a bit before we decided to order but when we returned to the showroom a couple of years later, the owner was there again and just as enthusiastic about his products, which is fantastic to see. We purchased a king-size Max storage bed with end-opening mechanism, 'Deeply' headboard, oak feet, electronic security box and dust cover in 'Linen' fabric. On the day of delivery, 2 men assembled the bed within 30 minutes and were very professional and courteous, and did not leave any mess or packaging behind. The build of the bed is excellent, and it is very sturdy. I am extremely pleased I bought the electronic safe as well, it's been so useful. All in all, I am extremely pleased with the bed and would not hesitate to recommend purchasing from Furl. I would suggest a visit to their showroom if you are able, just to meet with the owner and see the vast array of fabrics on offer.

Absolutely great storage beds, fantastic and helpful service, and a very simply but effectively laid out showroom. Does exactly what it should- it gives people the space to explore the entire product range, and get to know their personal preferences in the allocated half hour slot. We ended up going twice before placing our order, and were quite happy to have done that even though we stuck with our original choice. The customer service right from David in the showroom to the installation team were fantastic. Would have no hesitation in recommending (already have!)

The design of these beds is well thought out with side or end openings to suit your space and quality mechanism for easy lifting - try some of the competition! The option of removable covers allows for cleaning rather than having to buy replacements though the unusually wide range of fabrics is very tempting. The appointment system makes it easy to try the beds in a calm atmosphere with well-informed staff to answer any questions which is reassuring when considering an expensive purchase. The showroom is easily accessible with free car parking and delivery and assembly went very smoothly too.

We found the Storage Bed Company to be very helpful. You need to book an appointment which meant that they had time to see us individually and go through the different features of the beds. We had plenty of time to look through the fabric samples and consider the different options and there was no pressure to buy or to move on quickly. There are plenty of storage beds out there and we thoroughly researched before ordering from Furl, including 3 trips to their showoom just to be sure. The product is very well made and well designed. We have the bed right up against the wall with a right handed opening and the mechanism does not touch the wall when you lift it upwards due to its clever design. We love having the spacious storage whilst still having that deceptive look of space underneath (we have Simplicity Air). The only thing to say is that it's worth opting for their installation service- the instructions are no Ikea manual! Overall, we are very pleased with our bed, thank you Furl.

Tucked away in a small business park just off the North Circular Road in Wembley (just around the corner from Ikea) is the public showroom for the wonderful Storage Bed Company. We had heard about these beds via the internet, and we weren't disappointed. We found the website clear and simple to use, and also to book the visit (scheduled appointments required - Saturdays only). The appointment means that the knowledgeable staff have all the time we need to explain and demonstrate, but without any pressure to commit to a purchase. We are infamous ditherers, and having chosen the bed and mattress we want, we've been stumped by the amazing choice of fabrics and colours for the base and headboard, so we're visiting again to make our final decision now we've selected a bedroom paint colour. All the models of beds are available to see and feel, and we were amazed at how easy the opening mechanism is compared with cheaper models available at the national chains. These are THE standard for storage beds - you won't want any other after you've experienced them. I can't wait to have mine delivered!

I have gone ahead & ordered an extra high Max ottoman storage bed after visiting the London showroom today. Showroom is only an 8 min walk from Neasden tube...easy peasy! Here’s what I learnt by visiting the showroom (hope others find this useful too): - You can see where the extra cost comes in. You are definitely paying for quality & I think going for a cheaper bed would have been false economy in the end & would not have been as pleasing or comfortable on a daily basis. - There is an inner full steel frame that goes around the whole bed like a rim. This is what the mattress base rests on in the down position. Cheaper bed versions from other companies just have wood blocks across the corner which are prone to failure / a design weak point. It could be false economy to buy a cheaper bed. - Proper wooden slats - Middle steel support beam = no sag in future - There are no sections in the storage so I can lay snowboard diagonally. Showroom displays suitcases & boxes in the bed so you get a good visual of how much you can store. - x2 pistons each side make it easier to lift. Cheaper beds only X1 each side. - *** Very well designed & road tested, even down to thinking about the lift angle being very high to make it easier to reach into headend of storage space*** - 5 year guarantee, but he told me that they have beds bought >10 years ago & still no problems/looking great Other: - You can order the fabric to be removable covers if you want to change your colour scheme & easy to buy new ones. Also, the removable covers make the corners look much better (no visible seam / junction). £150 for the removable cover option. And then if you need to buy new covers in future cost = £150. Very reasonable. Removable headboard fabric is only an option in the plain headboard ranges. - Manufactured to order so the you just have to be patient - it will take 8 weeks to be made and there is nothing you can do about that. I also liked: - There were lots of fabric samples to view in the showroom and to my own surprise I completely changed the colour & the fabric I was going to choose after taking time to look through swatches & look at them in good lighting. I also found it very useful to look at them propped up against a bed base from a small distance away. And although texture / feel of the fabric not as important for a base board it would be an important consideration for a headboard. Update: In the end I kept the colour change but switched back to the standard fabric as it did look great in the showroom & was cheaper. - You can’t view all fabric colour choices on the website: you have to go to the showroom & browse the swatch books for that. If you’re still not sure you can request any different fabric samples you want after that, but through the website (you just send a direct email asking for the extra samples; that’s not clear on the fabric request page) - I was able to get help navigating website to price my different options out. I wouldn’t have been able to figure out how to make my request for extra high bed using the website ordering system as the option to add ‘plus size’ to the Max bed doesn’t come up until you are half way through your design build. And it was confusing as they also have a ‘Plus bed’, which is a completely different bed. To make bed extra high select ‘Plus’ as an add on (£195) and then you just specify the bed height you want in the comments section at the end of the order/quote generator. I ended up requesting a 150cm high bed = 47cm storage depth. - Many of my questions were answered within the FAQ section of the website...I just hadn’t been on that part of the website yet. Eg, instructions on disassembly & reassembly when it is time to move. - The ‘standard black’ sub-baseboard looks good & you can’t even see that part unless you’re standing far away. - Saturday delivery is only £25 extra, which is great. Also, I might have a delay of 2 weeks before I can move into my new place & they were happy to delay delivery until I was ready. I’ll edit review in a few years to update on the bed itself

Bought a superking max storage bed from Furl. I can't believe I have gone so long without fully utilising all that space under a bed.
