Do you like to cook, bake, ferment? Or know someone that does and want to gift them something special? Visit this place!
There are very few stores this magical. It is a cornucopia of food preparation kit. Imagine taking most of what you could find (with difficulty) on Amazon and ebay and them cram it into a store where pretty much every bit of wall space and floor space is packed. Here you have Kooks Unlimited.
There is huge benefit in being able to see the size of things, the feel of things, and see related items together. Prices of many things seem pretty much in line with what you might pay online.
My experience has been hugely positive. I have received directions, suggestions and help from the folks in store on each visit. They have looked up materials for me, checked stock, looked for things I asked about that were not on display, super!

I couldn't have received better customer service from this company!
I ordered an item from them through 'Down your high street' I had a few questions about my order, they always replied to my emails very quickly and were very helpful. When i hadn't received my order (which was the delivery company's fault, not theres) they went above and beyond to get it sorted so that it arrived in time for mothers day. Myself and my mum were both very pleased with the item. Thank you so much!

A wonderful little shop despite the previous review - everyone in the shop was so friendly and helpful and it's a real treasure trove of things. I'd been searching for a specific present for a family member and this was the only shop I could find it in. Doing everything I can to shop local this Christmas and avoid using Amazon! Will be going back for all my kitchen (and bits and bobs - I left with ribbon as well for my wreath!) needs.

Busy cookery shop with everything you can think of. Owner/manager is very friendly and always manages to find the thing you came for.
It is a shame that, due to Coronavirus I suspect, they need to downsize to one store which means that the quirkiest items might not make the cut.
I will continue to support these guys over Amazon as there is so much bonus in being able to see items in person before buying. Great knife selection too.

Good unusual Animal Cards collection for all occasions. They also stock selective British Artist made cards. It is a bit cramped inside but you will find an excellent variety of good quality kitchen apparatus. From hand painted to exquisite shapes. Good place to find a special gift.

If the comments below are to do with an Emma Bridgewater large mug being returned, then I feel impelled to answer in our shops defence. It was not yourself that returned this product, maybe your wife. She had not proof of purchase and told me it had been bought from us a few weeks earlier. That the crack appeared in the first couple of weeks. I said she should have let us know sooner as sometimes there can be a manufacturing fault or hairline crack that does not show up until hot water is paced in the mug and the crack expands. This can happen and when the customer informs us we would refund or replace the item. In this case the mug had been bought ages before and used on more than one occasion. However even without a receipt and proof this was purchased from our shop I offered a replacement at cost price. I did not have to do this but by of goodwill I offered. I feel your comments below are completely unfounded and unfair. We cannot be expected to replace every item that has been bought from our shop that happens to get damaged. I am sorry that you felt you had been badly treated, but on our part I think the lady we served was dealt with fairly.

I absolutely love this shop, both the cookshop and the bakeware studio about five doors away are stuffed to the brim with interesting things I never knew I needed! The knowledgeable staff were extremely helpful and I found I had parted with rather a hefty sum before I knew it. I am however very pleased with my purchases and will be back really soon. I will also ask them to make my partners cake, they have plenty of ideas and very well priced.

A veritable treasure trove of kitchen equipment. A helpful chap provided me with everything I needed for a big birthday cake I'll be making. This is not a good shop to take kids to as it's so compact, but that just means it's a real treat to go solo shopping here at the weekends!

Ah, the lovely little cook's shop covered from floor to ceiling with everything you can possibly imagine to do with cooking, and don't miss the two separate basements if you stop by. It's sad knowing that this place is heading to be yet another casualty of the internet shopping, but they seem to be bracing up for this by not even mentioning their shop address on their website's About us or Contact us page. Also, their website is as cluttered as the shop, with no sorting facility, no What's new section, etc. And why am I paying more to buy same products from their website rather than Amazon?
I also agree with the other reviewers on the negatives which I won't bore you with again, thus 4 out of 5.
Definitely pay a visit, whist you can.

One of the longest running independent shops in Richmond. Floor to ceiling with cooking gadgets, gifts and unique items. Super friendly staff too!

I'm not sure what the complaints are about. Sometimes people like to browse without being pressurised. If you have a question, ask. Everyone that works here has been super helpful and friendly.

Great treasure trove of cookery gear. Very useful when you realise the morning of something happening, and you don't have the right baking tray.

A veritable cornucopia of kitchen and baking equipment, all with friendly and helpful staff. Excellent service. How shops used to, and should be
