I’ve not been here for many years but today dropped in to have a look around. There is a small bit adequate carpark but getting in and out with traffic waiting at the lights isn’t easy. There is easy access with a wheelchair lift at the entrance to provide access to the ground floor reception and showrooms. There is an eclectic mix of sitting room furniture, hot tubs, bathrooms, rugs and most other assorted furniture you could ask for. The overall set up is quite disjointed and a bit tired with a mix of posters, price labels and posters touting various offers. A varied mix of furniture but not easy to navigate and you can easily get lost in the sprawling building

Lovely store friendly staff. Plenty of furniture for every taste. A lovely cafe but they have just introduced a parking fine if you stay over 3hrs which is easily done if you visit the cafe.

We have had outstanding assistance from this company. My mother purchased a suite three years ago and we needed a battery back up for the chair three years later in case of a power cut. So that my mother could safely get out in an emergency. Nothing was too much trouble from the staff who went well over an above normal service. I would highly recommend the staff and store.

A traditional store with a good range of quality furniture, competitively priced. There is no hard sell but when required, the customer service is excellent. I was given a two hour delivery slot the day before, items were unpacked and the packaging taken away. I will definitely shop there again.

Just to say a huge thank you for all the help and advice given by Dave and team in relation to our recent purchase of a Pembroke Hot Tub. Something we have wanted for so long but fed up of wrong advice or hard push sales trying to sell a product to us that we didn’t really want. From the day we walked into the store we have been offered perfect sales (no push) staff only interested in us having the product that we dreamed of. The after sales commitment to the customer was exceptional, and very patient and understanding with delivery times. The delivery was another story, awkward to say the least. However, Dave kindly visited to assess the situation and organised everything- from hi ab driver, to electrician and wonderful George Street staff to position the hot tub. Certainly was an experience to observe. So we finally have it - constantly pinch ourselves in disbelief but are so grateful to all the help we received. We could not fault the team at George Street and are thrilled with our purchase. Even another visit last night to check use of tub and explain use of chemicals. We would certainly recommend purchasing from George Street Furnishers for value for money and distilling their expert knowledge. Many thanks David and Lisa

Perhaps the only shop in Newport that you would want to visit if you live in Cardiff! Huge range of furniture, especially sofas, in a multi story family run shop with very helpful and knowledgeable staff. A real PROPER furniture shop, making JL and the sheds of Cardiff look like cold heartless versions of Ikea. The biggest problem we had was deciding what to choose, due to the massive selection and range of prices, styles, materials etc. We visited about 4 times before we placed the order with the very patient staff, for something being made now in Italy. Free parking infront of the shop made it an easy trip each time. UPDATE - great delivery and assembly experience, and the furniture is all that we hoped.

An excellent range of sofas, beds etc all spread out across a large number of floors. The shop feels warm, open, friendly and well presented. Staff are very helpful and they have a lovely cafe.

Bought a bed staff where helpful and happy deliver within 4 day's and took old bed away for £30 and they get recycled which is brilliant would definitely go to get any other furniture in the future such good quality 😊

Excellent range of good quality branded (Gplan, Ercol etc) household furniture ranging from conservatory to bedroom. Plus water beds, fitted kitchens, carpets and a bathroom furniture concession.It also has a quaint cafe serving excellent homemade food. This is the ultimate one-stop shop! All staff very friendly and helpful.

Was shocked how big this store is, it's nothing like Ikea it's how I would imagine an old shop to be. Lots of different departments and really unusual items. I bought a beautiful lamp on sale cheaper than normal, works perfect and looks great. Staff were lovely also. Well impressed

What an excellent store! Local, lost cost, fast to deliver - all round excellent service which exceeded my expectations. I needed urgent supply of a mattress, and following recommendation to the store from Ben, was helped by Bart Malpas to find exactly what I needed. It was available for delivery within 3 days, was given a 2 hour time slot, the delivery guys (Gareth & Simon) were 10 minutes early and couldn't have been more amenable and helpful if they tried. I'm really grateful to all the staff who helped me/ recommended the services of George Street Furnishers and couldn't recommend them highly enough. All round satisfied customer!

Difficult times during lockdown and here we are since waiting to replace our 3 piece suite since March find George Street Furnishers open and having brilliant stock. Luke in the G Plan and Parker Knoll department was most helpful giving up his time and vast experience in guiding us to exactly what we wanted and in stock. Where we thought we would have to wait to near Christmas. Needless to say stain guarded and delivered within 10 days Thank you Luke and all who pulled the stops out

Outstanding communication and service! I bought a sofa from George street and being ages from the store I conversed solely through Facebook. They were kind enough to take multiple pictures of different leather types in order to satisfy my choice before ordering. Their price is unbeatable. I am more than happy with my sofa, as apprehensive as I was in never having seen it in the flesh, let alone sit on it!! I went completely on their judgment, and I’m so glad I did. Use these over DFS any day. Don’t hesitate!

I first shopped here several years ago when I needed a bed for my guest bedroom. They had a sale on and I bought a single bed with pull out guest be under it for i think it was 50% reduction. The mattress is VERY comfortable - I know because I slept on it myself when I decorated my own bedroom. When I needed a new mattress for my own bed, they were the natural choice to go to. They, again, had a sale and u got a decent reduction even though the mattress was not in stock. I would recommend you take a look at George Street Furnishers if you are looking for quality furniture. The service provided is excellent with staff who still believe in devoting the time to help customers make the right choice.

Still waiting for items - despite assurances when we bought furniture that it would arrive in ten weeks.
