I was lucky enough to discover Tan and his team of amazing craftsmen after seeing some work he'd completed for another client of theirs. Having acquired an old victorian Howard style chair complete with wobbly arms and tired upholstery, I knew this was a job for an experienced professional and Designer Workshop are certainly that and more. Not only are they all wonderful people, but also incredibly talented, knowledgeable and generous with their time. They're a credit to their industry and this shows with the clientele they work with. I couldn't recommend them enough if you're looking for a highly professional service and exquisite end product for your upholstery projects. Thank you Tan and the whole team!

The photos show how beautiful this job is - how they got the fabric horizantal and vertical in the right places, with accurate and well tensioned pleating and buttons, too. From start to finish our experience with the Designer Workshop was fantastic. They have a wide range of fabric choices and Tan was extremely helpful in assisting us with our choices. Once the chair was collected it only took 2 weeks for it to be completed, with communication throughout. The delivery of our chair was perfect. The care taken to showcase the chair once the van doors were open was just beautiful, and as our chair had sentimental value I became quite overwhelmed. Our chair is perfect. Just collected my beautifully reupholstered cocktail chair from Designer Workshop. If you can, go and meet these talented and friendly guys and see their work up close. They bring tired old vintage furniture back to life, or they will give your own piece a revamp. They even make sofas and chairs from scratch. Huge thanks to Tan, Steve and the team.

Excellent service from start to finish. Beautiful fabrics to choose from and they really know their stuff. My upholstered bench seat looks stunning, and was very affordable. We had a chair that could only be described as dogeared after many years of puppy abuse it really was shameful. We decided time to have the chair refreshed and went to the designer workshop. With design ideas from the in-house team and a quality re-upholstery job by Colin we are absolutely delighted with the result. It’s like having a new chair again but this time with our own stamp a mixture of the original fabric, new leather and a lovely velour cushion. Would absolutely recommend these guys and will certainly be using them again.

Went to see Steve via a friends recommendation. He was so helpful and accommodating. I needs some custom made seat pads for a bespoke piece of furniture for my summer house and the resultant products were awesome. I'm so happy I found this place. I was looking everywhere for someone I could trust to fix my vintage Italian leather sofa and then stumbled upon this gem of a company. Steve and Tan are genuine artisans who really care about what they do. Steve went through sample after sample to find the perfect match to the leather. As I was only in town for a week they also rushed the job though. The best thing was, they even dropped the price at the end because they hadn't needed all the materials they thought. Great guys, awesome service, perfect work.

Tan, Steve and their staff have just reupholstered our vintage Chesterfield sofa and an armchair. We could not be more pleased with the result. Both items look fabulous, and the whole experience has been a delight form start to finish. Tan and Steve were really helpful throughout the process, enabling us to choose the right materials for our furniture and moving other furniture around when they collected the pieces for reupholstery. (They even moved our piano!) The work was carried out promptly, and at a reasonable price. We shall certainly return to Designer Workshop for any future upholstery needs, and do not hesitate to recommend them.

Definitely the best sofa upholstery company in Nottingham. They make absolutely amazing bespoke furniture to your taste. You can design your own new sofa or have an old one reupholstered with top quality fabric or leather hides, whatever you like.
