Needed to buy 10 doors. Was initially considering buying them online but once I visited the store and saw the wide choice of door colours & finishes along with the great customer service, it was an easy decision! Kieron was very patient, double-checked all the measurements to ensure I buy the right sizes and then helped me choose the various door handles and locks. Couldn't have done it without his input! Will definitely recommend.

We decided to give the house a makeover, and was looking to change the doors, but after going to many competitors showrooms to have a look at what options we had, we were left a little disappointed, not necessarily in the options available, but mainly in the attitude of the sales staff which we found to be “aloof” or “dis-interested” We had not previously heard of the Door Store, but a friend of ours mentioned their name, so we decided to pop in on a Saturday afternoon, where we were introduced to David. We were immediately impressed with him, he listened to our initial requirements, and took the time to explain about each door, and the way they were put together, which was important to us as our door sizes are not Std. and needed quite allot of trimming to be able to fit. Even after about 25 mins of us bombarding David with questions and then changing our mind over the colour and style of the doors… nothing was too much trouble, his patience and knowledge was first class.. We finally decided that we liked the Grey Laminate style doors, but as we needed to take off the sides much more than was recommended (20mm per side on some of the doors), he showed us a sample cross section of the door in question and explained about the makeup and layers and how it was put together, which was a huge help as I was going to attempt to fit the doors myself, but having zero previous experience his knowledge was a massive help!! then after much deliberating and yet more questions, he pointed us to a slightly damaged door they had for sale in the style we wanted, which was only £30 and said give it a go, if it works then we would have a better idea going forward. Thankfully it did, when we decided to purchase the rest of the doors, he also helped make a suggestion about an awkward size double glass door opening, as originally, I decided I required 2 x 762 glass doors (which would require allot of trimming) but after giving David the opening dimensions of 1440mm, he suggested to try two 686 doors with a liner kit brining the frame in by 60mm which worked perfectly without having to trim anything off the doors, as a complete novice, this was something I had not even thought of.. They even did me a super deal on another Ex display door which i wanted to try and cut in half to make a twin opening door for a smaller opening.. I would highly recommend the Door Store Reading ... Super helpful, friendly, knowledgeable Staff.

The store has a relaxing atmosphere. I expected the delivery to be weeks but was amazed it was So quick We bought the doors on Saturday and they were able to deliver on Monday. The service we received from David Lake at the Reading Branch of The Door Store was second to none. From the moment he approached us, he was so knowledgeable, polite and helpful. He spent at least 1 hour patiently explaining everything we needed to know about doors, including showing us a sample of the inside of the door as we needed to trim the doors quite a bit. He explained every part of the information perfectly and nothing was too much trouble. When phoning to make payment, his helpfulness shone through again. David would be an asset to any company, The Door Store are very lucky to have him on their team!

We have been so impressed by manager Marc, at the Reading branch, today we purchased 8 doors, with furniture, largely because he was so helpful, professional and knowledgeable of all the products, during our first visit some time ago. He made the whole process so stress free and straight forward, and personally helped to load a couple of doors onto our vehicle. This was customer service at its best, we can't recommend this store and Marc highly enough. The added bonus, is the doors can be stored their until we are ready to fit them (within reason of course). If you're contemplating buying quality doors, at a competitive price, with superb service, then this is the store for you.

Beautiful doors, great company to deal with, amazing service!! We ordered replacement doors for our property, most doors I had seen online were ‘the same’ The Door Store had soo many ‘different’ doors from the norm. I immediately fell in love with a set of doors and just knew I had to order them. I called Marc and ordered over the telephone, Marc was soo friendly and helpful! The doors arrived quickly and are as beautiful in real life as they were online! The amount of compliments I have received soo far is amazing! As a complete novice, I found all three staff who helped me with my purchase to be excellent - knowledgeable, patient, asked good questions to help me narrow down my preferences, kind and friendly. David was the first person I spoke to on the phone. Without his guidance and support, I would have given up trying to order. He explained exactly how I should take the measurements required and explained various terms to me, so I became more confident in what I was doing. His colleague, Kieran, was equally helpful to me when I called back and David was unavailable. A visit to the store was suggested as I was reasonably local - David was not at work, but Justin spent a long time helping me to try out different doors. Quality doors I would recommend. I had Colin who Door Store Reading gave me details of fit 6 Oak doors on the first floor of my property. Colin did an amazing job which I was extremely happy with. Good quality doors, handles and locks, very happy. The staff in store are helpful and they have a great selection of anything you might need door-related. Also have to mention Glen, the guy who fitted our door. He's very helpful, giving lots of options and following through with what you want. He arrives when he says, works really hard and finishes to a very high standard. He was so good that we used him for other jobs in our flat, and will use him if we need anything else doing. His company is PHILLIP design. Can't recommend the guy enough.

Very knowledgeable staff who were able help and advise on the purchase instead of a who were pressuring a sale. Purchase included doors, hinges, locks, handles, frames, architrave and skirting. Recommendation to use Colin Quinlan for the fitting was endorsed by several other people so we went ahead. Turned up when promised, gave good advice, flexible around order of work and always punctual with a tidy workspace ethic. All work completed about 3 weeks ago and no issues during or. All doors are fitted perfectly within their frames, skirtings level, architrave cut and fitted with mm accuracy, several difficult frames were made bespoke and all finished off to a high standard. Colin is top of list for our next carpentry project. Top bloke.
