As we entered the store we found all staff welcoming and friendly. We were assisted by Matthew Terry in choosing the right type of bed, base and headboard for us and we were very impressed with his help. He was patient, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic without being at all pushy in getting us to make a purchase. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this store.

Lovely people delivering the bed and very quick once they were here. However the bed came damaged and now we are waiting 4-6 weeks for a new base. But have given 3 stars instead of a 0 as the guys were really nice who delivered it.

The delivery team kept me informed of their arrival and arrived on time. They were courteous (removed shoes before coming into the house), took all COVID precautions and set up the bed quickly and properly.

Also took the time to show us different styles/colours. Having the video call was worthwhile and made the decision making process a lot easier. Nice place, not very busy, plenty of choices to see. However the lighting is terrible, and it is hard to see how an item might look in your house with weird styles and different colours of lighting. As for the items, very expensive but they are good quality.

The process was fine, the delivery went smoothly, the bed is excellent quality.... BUT, I have never been given a receipt for my purchase, despite emailing and calling several times. I will now be writing a complaint letter! - such a shame for simple thing that seems so difficult for you to resolve! 30/03 UPDATE: Having spoken to Grant at Southampton (the original sales person) I am pleased the issue has now been resolved. Thank you Grant for sorting this out with me in a few minutes - something that 'customer services' were unable to resolve despite several phone calls and emails. Our bed was delivered as stated on time and with an am delivery slot. The bed/headboard itself has fully matched our expectations so we're delighted. The guys who delivered where professional and installed the bed as requested. Couldn't fault them! Wouldn't usually consider a video purchase, but these are Covid times, so we took the chance as we couldn't wait forever for a new bed. The guy in the shop did a pretty decent job with his head camera moving around the store and was online with us for a full hour slot. Relieved that the colours matched up on actual bed rec'd so all in all 10 out of 10 from us.

Absolutely fabulous service! I can’t thank this lady enough for helping us . I help care for an elderly gentleman and his wife and he struggles to get out and wanted a new bed , I tried to help with catalogues / leaflets but no one does them anymore . I rang up you guys and was helped by a lovely lady called Natalie Cullings this lady gave us a video tour round the beds you do and Mike found one he wanted plus headboard etc. We could also have the old bed took away and the new one put together on delivery which helps massively . I can’t thank this kind lady enough on the help she gave to us especially in these times and for Mike who struggles . Thank you you so very very much , Michelle and Mike. Also on delivery the driver and companion were fantastic .

The pre delivery process was very well managed. I received regular updates from Benson for Beds and was quite pleased. However the delivery personnel were EXTREMELY rude and basically slammed my own door in my face when they were leaving without even a word.

On moving our new bed to the position we wanted, we noticed the wall behind the bed had been scratched leaving a noticeable mark that will need to be painted over. Delivery men did not mention it to us and it wasn't there prior to delivery. Our old bed did not have a headboard as high as the new one so was mark was not left my us. It had the experience slightly marred as up until the day of delivery the experience had been positive.

The mattress was delivered exactly on time and the old one taken away. Buying from BENSONS was a very easy experience and most enlightening . Matt? made it so easy. The only problem was me opening my wallet!! Shop here with complete confidence. Easy parking right outside the main door with coffee and doughnut shop in same car park. No problem opening my wallet for that......

The delivery drivers were very reluctant to take the bed upstairs they did alot off huffing and puffing they also said I needed to unpack a box it wasn't explained why I had to do that until I asked why he said it needs unpacking because its too heavy to carry so I unpacked one of the boxes he then said is that OK I then had to ask him to take the contents upstairs again very reluctantly

Until you go to buy a bed you don't realise 1, how many places sell beds 2, how little you know about beds. 3, how wrong you've been about beds despite spending so long in one . We learnt most here , the only reason we bought elsewhere was convenience .
