We've just been back to Southampton Furniture Village to purchase a suite we'd fallen in love with. Thankfully, the friendly, kind, and patient Grant was there again to put our purchase through. Not once on our visits did we feel pushed to buy; we didn't get hounded by salespeople. We'd recommend the store for its range of furniture, and staff, and if you're really lucky you'll get served by Grant (maybe even ask for him, you won't regret it!) for a really positive buying experience.

This was an outstanding experience (in a good way !). My wife and myself have spent most of the last two days in the Furniture Village Southampton store and have to say how absolutely brilliant Victoria was throughout, very ably assisted by her colleague Ian. Our mission was to find furniture to put into an apartment in the local area. With space being very limited in the apartment, size and bulk was key to how the place will turn out. Victoria actually took the time (in her out of work hours) to come to the apartment with Ian and ourselves to measure up and advise on the different items we were proposing to buy - if that's not going beyond the call of duty, what is ? We only went in to the store in the first place to see if we could find a sofa but having seen Victoria's enthusiasm for our project, we ended up buying numerous other items and we will continue to furnish the apartment with as many items as we can find from this store. Why would we go anywhere else !! Thank you Victoria and Ian.

I had an amazing experience at furniture village southampton. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and very helpful. I would like to be very specific and mention the gentleman in sale " IAN" IAN is a breath of fresh air, his massive help means I walked away with the deal I wanted and even got a very substantial discount. I was very lucky to have met such caring person. He made me a very nice Mocha and deal done in less than 1 hours 😃 The sales manager was very kind as well. Staff friendly and helpful, spent ages with us picking the right mattress, nothing was too much trouble. We tried 10 different types. No high pressure sales. Victoria from Southampton was a star. They even gave us coffee.

Excellent service by Neelam we highly recommend her for your purchase. Me and my partner were in the store for nearly 30 minutes and no one approached us then we went upstairs and after few minutes we were greeted by Neelam. This gave us confidence for purchase, time and again she guided us about the product which we found were quite useful. She carefully listened to our requirement and advised us to go for Guardsman which we found was much needed as we have pets. We were planning to go only for dining table but ended up buying wardrobe and other furniture with her help. We highly recommend her as she gave us the time we needed and allowed us to make the best decision. Popped in on 08/05/2021 to buy a new bed. Had an appointment and the lady at the front of store sent us up. We initially had a little mooch about to see the stock. My wife then popped over to see the staff. Teck assisted us by explaining the different bed manufacturers and the different types of mattresses available. Once we decided he explained how we could get the best deal with discounts available.. In short i left having spent more than i initially intended but our purchase is good value for money and frankly we have the king of beds!. Many thanks indeed to teck for his help.

We visited Furniture Village yesterday to purchase our first sofa suite. Bana greeted us warmly as we entered. She gave us the perfect balance between space to view sofas alone and intervening to help and offer advice. She let us know that most sofas were available in both leather and fabric which we didn't know and even offered us a tea or coffee! When we had clearly chosen the suite we loved, she noticed we were choosing between the 20 or so different fabrics it was available in and suggested we looked at them beside the window too to see what they looked like in daylight. This was really helpful as the fabrics really did look very different in natural light. Once we were ready to purchase, she came straight over and took us to the sales manager Victoria. Considering this was only her fourth day working at Furniture Village, we thought she did a great job at customer service!

Firstly, this store was the only one within 30 plus miles to have my hoped for sofa choice actually in the showroom (how can you be expected to spend a large amount on something you can't even sit on!) Arrived to find very good Covid precautions in place for a start, and whilst browsing was approached by salesman Paul. Very professional, no pressure, just wanted to explain all options available, and his product knowledge was excellent. Very happy to make my purchases, with fantastic discounts from both the store and manufacturer, which meant I saved £659 on the purchase price!! What's not to like?

I've recently bought a lovely sofa from here and the sales woman Victoria was absolutely amazing. A constant smile on her face and delivered an amazing customer service. I have 3 children and I was buying my 1st ever new sofa and I found the one I wanted so she helped me figure what was best to go with on the sofa. FV ACTUALLY WERE VERY HELPFUL AFTER OUR INITIAL DISAPPOINTMENT **** Hi Grant and all other staff at Furniture Village Southampton we have spoken to in the last 5 months. We would yet again like to express how disappointed we are in the service we have received. As you know .... We ordered our sofa & electric chair in September with a promised November delivery date. We were called at last minute to say there was a delay - no foam (which would have been known already). We were then told we would get the furniture beginning of January. We were then called again at the last minute in January - no material, having had 4 months to get it?? Can we ask, what do you think of that as a service for fairly high end furniture? You keep using the pandemic as an excuse but you took our money and order in the middle of it so it didn’t come out of the blue.

My parents had visited various other furniture retailers and received no service (Bradbeers and Peter Green as two examples). Grant met them at the door and ensured they used hand sanitiser and checked their temperature. He then stayed with us to help us choose our sofa and wasn’t pushy at all. The only negative small point - we didn't realise the staff were on commission per sale. If we'd known we would have continued with Claudia downstairs. Aleks, as friendly and as helpful as he was, should, out of colleague respect, have let Claudia complete our sale. All in all the furniture is amazing and we can't wait to take delivery. Our second trip to Furniture Village this week, Monday we chose the design and style of sofa with the help of Victoria who explained the various suites that had the reclining features and those available in fabric. Yesterday we went in armed with cushions from the settee we were wanting to pair the new one with. As we sat down with the fabric swatches a kind assistant asked us whether we’d like a drink while we browsed. Drinks and fresh cookies provided to help the process. Never once did we feel pressurised by pushy sales staff but when we wanted assistance, we received friendly and most useful information, which helped in making our decision from Victoria. We have shopped here in the past when looking to replace our Millbrook mattress and we still have a settee that is so comfortable 19 years on. The store was very accommodating and stored the furniture until we needed it. We visited furniture land today to look for a sofa and two chairs. We saw one we liked and got the attention of a salesman, he gave us a leaflet and directed us to Gplan sofa because we liked a recliner. He then walked off obviously not wanting our sale. We looked at the Gplan but then went back to the one we like. If it wasnt for a sales woman called Claudia we would of just left buying one. Claudia asked us about what our needs were and gave us all the figures. She told us all about the grade of leather and about the care plan. She then went through the price after sales price and discounts. At no point did Claudia try to pressure us into a sale. On top of all the discounts I asked if I could use my blue light card which was another bonus. Claudia was very helpful and not at all pushy I would definitely advise you to ask for Claudia if you visit.

Recently moved into my first property so needing all new furniture was the main priority and ensuring that everything was organised in time for when I moved in. Furniture Village was fantastic and I can’t recommend them enough to friends and family. As i went in the shop with a colour scheme in mind I thought would limit my choice completely, this shop excelled itself with a wide range of choice all fitting my ideas to put together my dream home. The staff were knowledgable around all areas of furniture within the shop and nothing was to much for them in order to make sure I was happy. The one thing I hate is shops being unorganised and cluttered, however, furniture village was excellently well presented which lead to me buying and copying one of their show living rooms exactly how it was in the store. I didn’t feel like any of the staff wanted to just ‘get the sale’ they were really invested in making sure my first home was amazing as well. When purchasing my furniture I was giving all possible options of payment and everything was explained in depth including delivery, which was so helpful especially as I had never brought a piece of furniture in my life. Care packages were explained and outlined in detail just to make sure I fully understood what service I would be provided after my visit. If and when I decided to move property again I will definitely be returning to furniture village all I hope is that the staff haven’t changed to much as they were fantastic throughout.

They offer lots of additional helpful services (some at an additional cost, of course) such as putting furniture together, if required, removal of old furniture and a very reasonably priced stain protection plan. 13th July 2020. Our visit to Furniture Village Southampton was amazing from the start. We were greeted by Aleks who was very welcoming and wearing a face visor asked to take our temperatures and hand sanitiser were readily available, which made us feel safe along with the layout of the store. Aleks asked how he could help us, he listened to our needs and showed us various options, there was no pressure selling which made us feel relaxed. Aleks also offered us drinks, he makes a perfect cuppa tea. He left us to browse but was readily available when we needed him. Aleks answered our questions with a wealth of knowledge and worked out prices for different combinations, he offered finance if we would like it. We didn’t but was nice to know the option was there if we did. Aleks could see we needed time to decide on which combination and which sofa to go with, at the risk of loosing his sale he suggested we take time out, we promised to come back that day. Aleks said he could stay later if needed, going above and beyond his end of day. Because of Aleks we did return and put in an order for the upgraded leather sofa, arm chair and storage foot stool. We are now very excited for September when we will be due our delivery, just hope we get the same service we did from Aleks, he is a credit to your company.

This Company really makes you feel safe when shopping during these difficult times. When first entering you have your temperature taken and there is sanitiser for your hands. As viewing is by appointment there were very very few customers inside. All the staff wore face masks and there were screens at the sales desks. The person who dealt with us - Grant was very helpful and made us feel safe. This is the first time we have been to shops since lock down( havnt even done food shopping) and found the total experience very safe and relaxing. Would visit again

I was very pleased with the service I got from the member of staff. However, I asked how long the mechanisms are guaranteed for on my new chair and I was told 10 years but on reading the documents at home I see the mechanisms are only guaranteed for two years. The salesalesman offered me what I thought was scotchguard fabric treatment and a upholstery protection plan (which is a bit iffy about pet damage) but all i can see on the receipt is the 5 year protection plan so I'm not sure about the fabric treatment? Never-the-less I am looking forward to my new chair arriving.
