I just had the best sofa buying experience of my life in Furniture Village Watford. Nina was so helpful! She was there when we needed her, but let us browse, sit and lounge in peace when we were testing different sofas. She was super helpful with colour tips, and her product knowledge meant she could answer every question we raised. We bought our new suite and are so excited. Thank you Nina for your excellent service, and thank you Furniture Village for your very nice reclining sofa and chairs. We can’t wait for them to arrive!

We came into the store today (Saturday 17th September) just for a browse of sofas and we met Nina, who was there if we needed her but let us browse in peace. We ended up buying two sofa items (one 3 seater and one single seat, both recliners) and Nina was so helpful and delightful to deal with during our experience, and gave thorough expert advice with a smile on her face. I almost asked to speak to the manager to find out if we could buy Nina as an added extra, but alas she is a person and not a sofa so I doubt she would be for sale. Highly recommend, and thank you Nina for being a delight to deal with.

Visited the store today to buy sofas and a dining table. We were served by Arvind who was a lovely salesperson and very helpful in advising us. He takes great care to ensure that your purchase is the right one for you and he makes you feel like your order is important to him. Mike Shah - Brilliant customer service Walked in with no purpose or motivation to buy anything, with my wife. We noticed a mirror marked as clearance which appeared to be perfect for the hallway. I wasn’t sure if it would look right or if the dimensions would work. It had none of this info available. I was also under the assumption that we had to take this exact mirror home too. I did look for it online but it wasn’t there either. Mike was stood close by so I had a quick chat with him. He listened to my question and produced a measuring tape from his pocket. He handed me his business card and simply said go have have a think and if you want it just call me. I will get you a new one delivered to your door. We pretty much did just that. We’ve been on the hunt for a good mirror for quite some time and despite prices north of a few hundred pounds, no was willing to share details on the actual size or the positions it could be hung in. He helped us understand all of that in a few minutes. Organised a payment over the phone so we didn’t have to go back to store. Simple and efficient customer service.

Popped into Furniture Village at the end of the day a couple of Sundays ago.. Saw a gorgeous couch that I loved straight away. We were helped by the lovely Paul Bentley, who gave us all the information we needed, and was lovely to deal with. A nice store with a great range of furniture, in particular the beds which is what we purchased today. Our sales consultant was Ben who was a delight to deal with. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and went out of his way to ensure everything was dealt with quickly and efficiently. He gave excellent advice and explained everything very well. This store isn’t situated in the same retail park as dreams, scs etc but it’s well worth the very short drive to get a lovely bed with a nice overall sales experience. It was possible to pay half of the total cost upfront and the other half a few days before delivery, and the delivery and setup was first class. I highly recommend furniture village!!

Outstanding service by Veera, who happened to come by the store on his day off (!) but ended up spending three hours to help us with everything we need. Extremely helpful and friendly, Veera listened well and knew exactly what we were looking for. He demonstrated a high degree of professionalism and is well acquainted with every department of the store and every product we came across with. I in particular find his knowledge and insights, be it with the furniture's components or its aesthetics, very useful and reassuring when it comes to difficult choices. Frankly, I've rarely enjoyed shopping ever, let alone this much (to leave a 5-star review?). Fingers crossed, we hope the delivery (which will seemingly take ages!), after sales and whatnot will keep up with our very positive impression with this shop so far!

Excellent experience from the moment we walked through the door. Since lockdown, this is the only building to take a temperature of customers walking through their doors. Staff were wearing PPE, as were customers. We were allowed to freely roam the floor, without having to give-way to one way lanes. The staff were also super friendly and helpful. Within moments of being in the door, we were asked if they could help us in anyway, and we were shown around the floor, visiting everything on our checklist. There's also free tea/coffee/hot chocolate, and home-baked cookies in a seated area. We were left alone to relax and didn't feel like a member of staff was lingering waiting for us to finish. We ended up purchasing that day, when we only really went in to browse and compare. Leonard, thank you for making us feel welcome in your shop. You were a great salesman. Not pushy at all, but giving genuine feedback and recommendations. Very pleased with our visit!

I have been into Furniture Village Watford three times in the last week and ended up buying some sofas which hopefully will meet all of our needs thanks to the help and attention we received. Each time I have sought out Mike Shah. We met him on our first visit and he was incredibly helpful, knowledgable and patient as he guided us around the options available to us. After we had homed in on a style we realised we needed to go and measure our room so we checked when Mike was going to be around and I went back a couple of days later to investigate further. We needed another check at home as we couldn’t decide between two layouts and not once did Mike try to push us or rush a decision. Finally I went back in yesterday and finalised our purchase. We can’t wait to see the finished version but are confident we will love it. We can’t thank Mike enough for the time and effort he put in trying to ensure we got exactly what we need. He even drew little diagrams of our room for us with different options. I interacted with a couple of other people whilst there and everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. So thank you Mike and everyone else for great service and also for the coffee and cookies too!

Update (26/08/2021): Finally got the table, it was assembled professionally in our home. In the end the general manager of the store sorted it, connected the dots and such. I am grateful for their efforts. FV should look at their handling of this, it was all totally avoidable. I may well return again. New review (09/08/2021): Ordered a Table from FV Watford on 12/05/2021, the process was really smooth and the salesman was sharp and committed to configuring things exactly as we liked and even sourcing a large (and more expensive) version of our 4k+ dining table for us. From there it was simply radio silence, and knowing that there was an 8-12 week lead time (worst case according to the agent), I didn't want to pester. From week 8 I called weekly or fortnightly, and in each case was told that the matter (an update essentially) would be passed over to the warehouse, and/or a manager would contact me. I am about to make my 4th call in as many weeks, with no response at all, what an appalling service. Bear in mind that each time I called I let them know that I had called previously and no one had bothered to get back to me, and even with that extra pride/motivation at stake, no one at FV cared enough to get back to me. Previous review (removed 09/08/20210): "Excellent experience so far, Veera was particularly good, but so was his colleague (who's name I can't recall from our first visit). Double and Triple checked our order detail, accommodated us when dealing with manufacturer to source a larger table. Will update review after receiving the dining set to provide a full account of the end to end experience."

Great choice of sofas for all budgets. We went in before Christmas with the intention of narrowing down to the sofas we are interested in, so that we can pick them during the Xmas/New year sales. We ended up browsing and speaking to Mr. Mike Shah. He was very patient, not pushy, which was frustrating at the last couple of places we have been earlier on that day. He's very knowledgeable and knows this field very well. He assisted us in narrowing down our options to two different models. We went home measured it all out to double check it'd fit well. We visited again and Mike priced up the one we chose quite well, we purchased them as it was a good price. We then changed our mind to the other set. Called Mike and he helped resolve this over the phone. The price changed, but this was expected. Nothing was too much hassle for Mike. Thank you very much. Myself and my mother visited the Watford store mid-week looking for the perfect sofa to accommodate my elderly mothers needs. When we came into the store we were greeted by a very polite young woman called Ruth who pointed out where the sofas were. After browsing for afew mins we were then approached by Dean who asked us if we needed any help, at that point we were still browsing so we said if we had any questions we would ask him. Afew minutes later we had a but too much too choose from and we said to Dean what we were looking for and why we needed it. He pointed us in the direction of the gplan settle which he explained all the good points about this. He then offered us a coffee and a cookie. We went through everything with Dean with much detail and couldn't have been happier with the service we received. Will definitely be visiting again in the near future. We visited this store on Boxing Day and was very surprised how bust the store was. we were warmly greeted by Ranjit, who was very professional, patient and knowledgeable about his products, after chopping and changing our minds from sofa to sofa and numerous colour choices we settled on two rocker electric recliner twin sofas in cream. We were given a delivery slot of 7am-11am, the delivery men turned up at 7.45am, very clean courteous and professional, they had both twin sofas unpacked, assembled and placed where we wanted them, and even took all the packaging away with them in 45 minutes!! as special 'thank you' to the showroom manager Rob. Big store with lots of variety. I'd say their main thing in store is sofas. The staff are friendly but some are not as knowledgeable as you'd hope... Overall I would still prefer to buy from them online, as you have to pay the same delivery charge of £45 either way but there are more product options on their website.
